PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I only hope you don't expect this to be totally true. There's no material time to implement things on a game that will achieve gold status in a month or two and, by now, has everything developed and only tweaking, refining and testing.

Surely, and that's a goood sign, they will add suggestions into the pes 2011 evolution, but it's absurd to gather feedback for improvements at the end of the development.

My guess is they will try to show things they have already developed and know that were wanted by the fans (mainly because it's YEARS we are demanding them publicly) as if they had listened to the community.

Jeez dude. Did Konami piss on your chips or something? lol

Be happy with the fact that they seem to have moved in the right direction. If they didn't fix up gloves, nets, eyebrows etc,etc we would complain about it. Now there is one thing less to nag about. They didn't post that news up for shits and giggles.

Don't forget the glass is half full.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Rediculous assumption!
If they do that little then they can stop the series, because that would be their downfall.
They are no fools.

but you are also assuming that theyve changed the gameplay mechanics without any visual proof, its either goin to be one or the other. i just hope you are more correct than i am

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Well the look of the game (stills wise) is great - Once we see how good the motion capture and animation are then we will know if the graphical aspect is put to bed and we can move on to the other stuff.

Personally I prefer the PES style of play so I will be more satisfied than the ones wanting 360 movement and manual passing and the "simulation" of FIFA - I too think it will take them a couple of releases to work in the gameplay changes (if that is possible with the current PES engine)

I think the huge assumption on "our" part though is thinking that Konami is looking to implement all the suggestions put forward - maybe their list for this year was just graphical, maybe it will only be graphical or stuff like "ML should be a deeper experience" etc but not really suggestions about gameplay.

We would all love manual passing and full movement and more accurate shooting in the abstract - once implemented if it isnt executed properly you may get an experience that doesnt recreate the game you watch.
I think this is the biggest hurdle Konami has - their much maligned engine still offers many things the technically superior engine doesnt.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

All the news I've read up to this point are good. If they get the animations, game speed and ball physics right then that should do for now. Next year must be a different story though. Just get back on track for now.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Just wait for the gameplay videos at gamescom. I think a few critics will be surprised. It's not going to be life changing but I think a bit of love is certainly being put back in to a very dated franchise.

Great to hear they are listening on the little stuff, it counts towards an overall better experience.

Can't wait.

Well said.:APPLAUD:

I agree entirely.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm just gonna wait and see what happens, i'm more confident of a good pes this year. I still think konami are in a transistional phase.

Think what kind of effect the combination of kceo and kcet had on the way pes was developed. Iirc weren't they the teams that were actually doing next gen pes together. Those teams had 2 different outlooks on how to develop a footy game and it would have been a big reason for the way next gen pes turned out gameplaywise.

Things can only get better and i think konami are slowly but surely turning that corner and we may not moan so much this year. Fingers crossed

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

19th is only for press, the 'real' expo is from 20th to 23rd;)

For those who are interested, I will publish as many videos as possible on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/thepeseditingblog

Yeah but videos will come flooding in on that date no doubt. Thanks for clarifying though and that would be awesome if you could share the vids :TU:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Adam at WENB has just confirmed on his Twitter page that skill moves are no longer on the d-pad they are back on RT/R2 combos. Brilliant news!!

PES 2010
Fan Made PES is a winner!

Hi all.

Thought you might be interested to hear I've got my hands on a new build of PES2010 on PS3 with all the modes and options in, which is awesome. I can confirm that Master League is much better. Use of real money (Euros, Pounds Sterling, Dollars, etc) make such a difference.

Integration of Champions League is also handled really well. The ability to skip matches also means you can concentrate on building your team and wizz through a season if you like.

In general the new game presentation is really excellent. Menus are really quick to get through, well laid out and dare I say cool?

I'm really starting to get into the strategy settings at the moment. Tailoring your team to the way you want to play is great and makes a noticeable difference to your team AI. I'm still getting used to gameplay because it's so different from PES2008 and 2009. Don't get me wrong, that's a great thing. You have to work for everything now.

Online testing is going well and we'll see an all new build next week with some really big changes that haven't been announced yet. More details will be announced before and during Gamescom. Seabass and Greyhound are both attending this year, so expect plenty from the show.

I've seen some other news about licensing recently, which hasn't been announced by us. Just keep in mind that if the news isn't official, people may just be starting their own rumours!

Back to Japan shortly and shooting Messi and Torres again, so I'll provide some more pics then. In the meantime, keep the faith. Your feedback is directly changing PES development!

I agree, i think they want to recreate a magazine shape
Yeah, I think kinda match poster which you could see in the city.

Quite cool idea, but we'll have to see wether it gets boring after some time.
Atm I prefer the old system with selecting each things after the others, e.g. teams->kits->stadium->settings, now its FIFA style...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Could someone explain to me the intended pun on naming Ajax's Maxwell as House?

You were talking about it a few pages before, but I don't get it :CONFUSE:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Maxwell House is a brand of coffee in the UK (no idea if it is elsewhere).
