PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Any news about licensing mates ? Nobody tried to contact some federations (Bosnian ? German for confirmation ? Other countries ?) to inquire about that ?

Konami is bothering me, they don't want to talk about it, seems like they don't care about it...

I hope that this code of silence would be justified by some surprises, but excepted the likely(?) Mannschaft license, I wonder what we could have, indeed.

I e-mailed my U.S.A. federation about 2 weeks ago and requested that they give Konami permission to license our NT for PES 2010...no reply yet though. :(

You can try if you'd like, the more requests the better. http://www.ussoccer.com/contact/index.jsp.html

I think later I'll e-mail the Canadian and Mexican Federations too. But I don't speak Spanish so I hope the Mexican FA don't mind an English e-mail :P ...or maybe I'll find someone to translate it.

Since the World Cup is coming up soon, the more licensed NT's the better!

Hm I seriously doubt whether the US National team could be licensed in PES, it's just the same situation for Japan in Fifa. There is a form of nationalism I think.

dude where do you come up with that... its more then likely the highest bidder wins.. I honestly dont think the US has any problems with the Japanese people, we are strong allies

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think he just means we may be exclusive to EA...I really hope not...:CONFUSE:

Then again...we at least appear in PES games as unlicensed...Japan aren't in FIFA games at all (with the exception of WC games) So maybe there is hope that we can get licensed this time around...

edit: EA Sports is based in Canada anyway,so maybe it has nothing to do with nationalism...

Yes you're right, but the fact is that there are exclusivity contracts. And when it's always the same firm that wins the license, we can wonder how it works.

I know that the Japanese and American people don't have any problems with each other, but EA and Konami are competitors and they certainly have special links with the federations of their country in order to "secure" their home market.

I recognize that "nationalism" was a tough word, perhaps "chauvinism" was more adapted.

PS : Gotnoname, you're right EA Sports is based in Canada but EA isn't an american firm (I mean EA the parent company)?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

It's true that there's exclusive contracts, but I don't ever remember reading that the United States could be licensed by EA Sports only...

Earlier in this thread a German forum member mentioned that a Japanese site mentioned rumors about Paraguay,USA,Germany, and South Africa possibly being licensed...and he was right about Germany! So I think it's worth a shot for me to e-mail the USSF about it.

All we can do when it comes to things like this is wait, and hope, and see. :))

Fortunately :D (anyway, they wouldn't say it officially)

All we can do when it comes to things like this is wait, and hope, and see. :))
And send e-mails to inquire about it .

I hope we'll also get more national teams, even if they're not licensed (Bosnia, Algeria, Honduras etc).

But I don't really trust Konami on this point, I'm sure they'll include all the WC 2010 qualified teams only in PES 2011 just as usual :P.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Not much happening till gamescom it seems.

I don't wanna hear any early build crap. I just want to see next gen animations, movement and collision detection.

Then probably you look elsewhere? :D I agree with your post, but I guess it is too much optimistic...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yeah Gamescom will be where it all explodes again.

One thing is for sure, no next gen animation at gamescom= No next gen animation in PES2010.

I am very +ve that we will see some lovely smooth transitions between animations with no silly feignts, awful running and turning at gamescom and the final game. However, given Konami's past performances and promises, you just never know.

So far so very good for me, its just the final peice we are all waiting for and to all of us seems to be the most important part, that is something i cannot disagree with.

Also sitting on my prayer mat, for online:PRAY:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Agree with you Dr.

Everything to me til this point has been positive, so positive I don't want to be disappointed come Games-com...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think the proof for both games will be in the demo we have to play with, unless we can get an honest opinion from some PES and FIFA players on here from Games-con.

I still think they are going to be spouting 70% builds at us. As the demo we will get will be a couple of weeks prior to launch I'm not going to be swayed too much either way yet.

I'm just glad Konami seem to be listening and genuinely working on 2010

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm looking forward to gamescom. It seems impossible to implement all the new animations and motion capture in 2-3-4 months, but my hopes are high. I hope that Konami don't let us down (again).

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I see the other winning eleven blog site are getting their excuses in early with talk of a 70% build at gamescom.

:BRICK:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Wow, how bad is KONAMI doing when it all comes down to animations for some...

talk about shafting the customers, imagine if Apple released its iPhone without a backlit screen...

:BRICK:

I already told Adam that, and he answered me that even at 70% most of the new animations will be there, so if animations at gamescom will be disappointing then they will be disappointing in final build too, that's for sure

Mmmmmmm

70% and all that talk is bollocks, what we see at gamescom is the final game but for a few minor graphical and gameplay tweaks.

I just cannot stand for being taken for a complete cunt, I'm too old to be listening to the "oooh don't worry the build we played at 90% is far superior to the gamescom demo".

Why would konami release a demo of the game for all to see if it was not representative of the final game, showpeicing all the changes.

Utter crap, what we see there is what it is.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I agree, Gamescom is too late in the day and far too important for Konami to be showcasing a 70% build. What we see is what we will get in October*.

*Unless there is a more advanced build out the back.;))

but are we really all suprised? this game will be a sticking plaster until pes 2011

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I am and always have been a fan of the series.
But I don't want to hear any excuses. This year is the 1st that I haven't played PES till the release of the next and that says alot.

I almost feel nervous for their part. That is how important the Gamescom impressions are going to be.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

yeah pes2010 needs to be massive for me

i can play pro evo 2009 fine against another person

but when you play the computer and have to bank on the AI then it sucks massively

i really hope pro evo makes a return to form, it has to!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

You are all completely right !

We've heard enough excuses for 3 years now : PES 2008 was told to be the real "PES Next Gen", then it was PES 2009, and now it's still the same song, konami can't disappoint us this time again.

Personnally, I'm expecting a lot from konami about lincensing.
It might appear childish, but if konami doesn't have the German national team license, I'll probably won't buy the game.

Anyway, I think we shouldn't expect too much from the new animations; maybe the running animations will remain the same, and what we will have is just some new animations for free-kicks, penalties, or special tricks...

That's why I mainly expect konami to keep the licenses they already have (Italian clubs and others); if there is an unlicensed german league I'll buy the game, for sure, but I don't think it could happen...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hmmm in regards to animations, even in that little snippet of video from the developer blog we saw new passing and running animations and the side-step has clearly been removed. The animations are certainly better than PES 2009 even in that very early build. I'm going out on a limb here to say that I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised when it comes to Gamescom.

Absolutely right

I also liked the look of the early dev video but ya never know with Konami after 3 years of tripe.

Amen. Honestly, it is pretty stupid to say AGAIN the early demo shit when last two years that was a lame and pathetic excuse.

What we will see in Gamescom is what we will see in October with some minor changes, that is a fact. Honestly this puts my optimistic view down... I guess the game will be better than 2009, but still crap. I hope to be wrong...
