This become a place with so much negative statement. Every video get completely analyse. i miss the time were games released without one video show before. Damn if you want a game with super hyper realistic gameplay, please produce your own game. Come on, we are not the only people in this fuckin world and if konami only hear what we want then good night. This is a nice place to talk about a game, but to think they produce the game only for us is stupid. 75% of the players dont like right position, dont like 8 fouls per game. It had to be fun and thats it! And for me we get a game with balance between fun and realism.
It just looks like people here are all about negativity because people are more vocal on the negatives than positives.
We're still buying the game even with its flaws, which means there's still a lots of good things about the game.
Buying the game speaks louder than saying good things about the game. Maybe, it's also the reason they haven't fixed some of the issues because people is still buying it.

If there comes a time that it turns into a really bad game, People will just stop buying the game.
But until then, People will buy/play and try to give their thoughts on how they can improve the game.
Maybe there's a chance they can fix those issues, maybe there's not.

The guys who are there play PES day in day out week in week out offline and online ..... I do.

guys do have the knowledge and vision to spot flaws, over the years (i've found) with Konami you have to earn their trust once you earn their trust these are the events where you can talk.

This video is a fine example of PA2 and deep defensive line on as a advanced tactic - and deep defensive line does mean defenders sit very deep.

Advanced tactics is very strong and the guy me playing as flemengo had it on, to test it and PESEP and I tested PA2 in this video ...that's why I said PA2 is like PES2018's PA1
I don't see any advanced defensive tactics being activated.
Looks to me like you're trying to defend the game's flaws by lying.
Unless, they've changed the advanced defensive tactics button to red, or you've thought you've activated it but not.

Pesep said that he scored that goal because you were using All Out Defence and Conservative, meaning defenders don't press attackers but rather sit deep. I think it's a bit too rigid though, it makes defenders too passive. Another thing they should tweak.
Looks more like an "All Out No Defense" and "Useless", meaning defenders don't play defense at all.

Oh man! They've destroyed the game more!
Are the devs trolling us?

Pause at 4:26 and look at the goal. The attacker recieves the ball inside the big are freely, zero sense of danger and urgeness from the defender who stands far behind the attacker the whole fucking time, such an easy goal any 5 yo kid could score. The attacker could have a seat and open a beer inside the box and still manage to take the ball, turn and shoot.

Why are people interpreting this passage of play as especially bad AI and not just terrible defending from Daniel? Stood off him with his free player while his teammates were trying to cover other routes.

You're mistaken. You didn't have any defensive advanced instruction on at this moment. Not sure what PA2 has to do with it either.

Point stands, for me, is that this is just really bad defending Daniel lol. Gifted him a goal.

I'm guessing you had a very deep line in the settings though. Also: I'm going to be mentally reading all your comments in a Brummie accent now

Probably just trying to cover up that terrible defending. That's my read on it.

@janguv it's bad AI because the whole backline retreated to a ridiculous depth.
I had the impression he played with a very deep line in the settings though. Only thing which makes sense of that.

More concerning for me was the lack of aggression by the player (forward/CMF maybe?) joining defence and pressuring the guy with the ball. But that could (or, at least, should) depend on player stats.

Edit: actually, if you look at the movement from 04:22-04:24, it looks like both CBs have been set to man mark the forwards.

Guys, like, I dunno, the demo is out in a few days. Why are you even bothering?

Because.
All the free time that will be spent in playing the demo, is now being spent in talking, theorizing, criticizing, asking, debating, etc. Nah mean?

forwards.
It's been this way the last few years. Not sure if it started in 2016. The only way the forward will defend is when you control him manually to move deep or set him a midfielder when out of possession. For the CMF, it's more of he controlled it to get out of position and set to conservative. He tried to defend the last minute but we saw what happened.
I'm sure they're not playing seriously, trying things out so I won't criticize him for that.

If it's man marked, then the CB should have been more closer to the scorer at 04:24 onwards.
Hoping they've accidentally chosed "Beginner" difficulty.
or maybe, this is one of those times where the "scripting" comes into play, making AI defenders really bad so that someone can score. They should at least made it believable.

There's a clear distinction between hyper-focusing on the negative aspects and having said negative aspects be so overwhelmingly glaring, it detracts from the overall experience. The aforementioned slights against the game that you just listed are pretty major faults for a lot of people (myself included). It's not something you can just close your eyes, cover your ears, and pretend doesn't exist. Rather, that might work for you, but it sure as hell doesn't for me.
I used to think it was major things too but PES (in these times) does what it sets out to do, you can either get on with it, cry constantly or move on because it's not your cup of tea.

That's most likely. I remember someone from their PR saying "it's not a playtest, just video capture". So they're really not into feedback. They've already decided the direction they're going. Take it or leave it.

Defo mate, this the way they want it to be no matter how much we bitch and complain, just gotta go with it or get off it.

seen enough videos not that impressed to be honest, il come back to pes once they get rid of those backheels, had enough to be honest, the game in my eyes is arcadey to me, those backheels are a cheap way of getting out of midfield only thing that caught my eye is the variation of shots but not enough excitement to buy day 1 purchase.

Well Daniel is not particularly defending well, but while he is controlling a midfielder you can see its team back line, controlled by the AI, is following the the attackers very super deep into their own box. For some reason they seem to be obsessed about keeping a line shape, so all the men follow the defender making the deeper run, instead of caring about marking men in the penalty area. In the end, the defensive line stop a meter or so from the goal line, which is stupidly deep even if you set your team to play with a deep defensive line. Their should be a better sense of opponents marking and priorities.

The retreating defensive line was always a symptom of every iteration before it’s patched after release.

Is it just me or have konami not really release any information on the game modes? The gameplay looks nice so far, but what are the modes going to be like? I know they release a Myclub trailer but it still looks like a very poor man's FIFA FUT.

I want to see some new game modes or wholesale changes to the ones we have!

Nah, not gonna happen

I find it funny that EA have all these stadiums and the presentation, yet players models are still the same from years back ie Diego Costa.

The PES 2019 demo cannot come any sooner. I've been enjoying playing PES 2018 over the weekend, I even had a penalty against the AI and I nearly fainted!.

Top Player is the best difficulty as well for the game to feel balanced and enjoyable.

I'm enjoying my league in 2018 as man city. Proffessional full manual. Looking forward to demo too , biggest fear is I won't be able to go back to 18 after it and will have to play exhibition matches for 2 weeks

I find it very hard to believe that PA1 in the current build is "borderline manual" as was stated by some playtesters. Even if 99% of videos we've seen so far are on PA2 there are still videoes like this one, where it is explicitly stated that it's on PA1:

You only really need to watch the first minute to see that this is no where near manual. Spooky described himself some pages ago as a casual player usually playing with PA1, so if this was "boarderline manual" he wouldn't be stringing such passes together effortlessly (this is not having a dig at Spooky and I don't think he ever descibed PA1 as being near manual, I'm just using his video and self description in this argument).

The only way this might feel manual is with the powerbar sensitivety and not the stick, because all passes are going straight to players' feet in that video.

The only exception is with through balls, and this has been the case since E3 videos. An example from the same video is at 11:05 where a pass doesn't reach it's target. I don't KNOW if Spooky is using ∆ there but it's a safe bet as it is usually the way to play the ball into space on PA1 and 99% of other passes, as I said, are going to players' feet.

I guess we will all know by wednesday, but I wont be surprised if the statement "PA1 is boarderline manual" will be pretty far off.

Edit: oh, and just for the record, the game might still be pretty damn good and the passing game might be great as well, just not anyway near manual.

Actually Serie A and Coppa Italia will be licensed in FIFA19 i mean full licensed with scoreboards like premier league and bundesliga and la liga .. here's the link in italian
http://www.calcioefinanza.it/2018/0...a-piu-ricco-in-arrivo-serie-a-e-coppa-italia/
Interesting to see if Serie A club licences are affected by this (except Milan and Inter, obvs). I'm not sure they will be, but I guess there's always going to be an inkling of doubt until the team list is released.

success of pes is about community.

not sure why my reply to rfc1ge's post re the kitchen to bring a little humour to the forum got censored/removed.

@rfc1ge .... i won't rewrite it again but it ended : PES 2019 = an old dishwasher that will come with dirty dishes and a D efficency rating.

@admins.... why so serious?

Because You were all trolling one guy, this even after YOU have had a warning, it had gone beyond being funny.
What You had come to expect at other forums does not necessarily apply here.

If you really want that ban so badly just make reference to this again and bingo..........

Just hope they fix the difficulty setting the top player to superstar is just ridiculous, has spoiled my ML adventures.

This.

Happens to me every year. Once the demo hits there is no going back fml!

Although, this year is different and will be more bearable due to the inclusion of the online quick match in the demo

I've praised them previously for adding that option in, great idea from them and if I recall correctly it's not something FIFA do, is it?

Good to see them at the forefront of something new instead of playing catch-up
