That was my point, just dont get carried away based on his review if you expect sim football or at least a footy game close to the old games.

Completely agree. In a couple of days we'll have the means to form our own opinion anyway. I think that at this point it's detrimental to give up to expectations based on external feedbacks.

I'm more concerned about how e-sports events are murdering the beauty of football, Absolutely no distinct playing styles for the players, Every player scores the same identical goal and they all feed on the game's weaknesses and poor AI.

If you arrange a PES 6 tournament between good players then you'll notice how a lot of players have the freedom to play with the style they like and to their team's strengths, I used to have my own tactic in my little ps2 memory card which I'd carry with me to my friend's house, Such a deep game of football!

Well, if anyone cares, they said on the Q & A on the UK stream that they have one more German team left to announce. So, if we have the normal amount of 3, Schalke and Leipzig carry across from next year but who is the third? Gotta be Levekusen...

If these streamer numpties are having to increase assistance I take it as a very good sign. Will there be proper assistance filters online though?

Yeah, that's the big concern.

Anyway, strict online filters is a must. When u use manual passing in Divisions and set it to "similar settings" u only face other manual passers but is it the same for PA1 etc? Or can u play PA2 when u have PA1 and set to similar settings?
Unfortunately right now it works on a first sweep mechanism: if in the first searching period it doesn't find a player with PA1, it'll broaden the criteria. So it's very common for PA1 users to face PA2 users, even with that filter selected. It's very disappointing.
When it comes to assistance levels I wish that Konami would rename them. Instead of PA3, PA2, PA1 etc it should be something like Sunday League, Non-League, Pro and International. Then it would be interesting to see how many of these so called superstar players would play on the Non-League setting.
That's a genius idea. They already do it for AI difficulty, so it follows that convention nicely.

Still, you should hear the shit people say to justify use of PA2/3 already. Even following a new naming convention, there'd be similar bullshit and cognitive dissonance.

"It actually gives me more control because it allows me to pass at the speed I want to" etc.

Absolute tosh.

I think due to the repetitive nature of eSports in modern FIFA and PES and the fact that you don't see much innovation and the game doesn't require that much tactically, it will die out soon. People will get bored of it unless they add a tactical layer and increase the skill gap.

It's more like a bit of a generalization from your part, to be honest. Somebody else could easily find hilarious watching grown men talk about football videogames, player stats and stuff like we daily do here.

I know my girlfriend does! :D
So I wasn't being shallow like someone else say. I could easily fall in the same category to other people that don't participate in game/modding communities or don't even play games at all, the difference is I'm not acting like a superstar or being arrogant towards people.

Good one despite to big gap between defensive, midfield, attacker.. dunno why..

Maybe because of the "pes league" playing style, dont know either... Hope we can play with a "personal" style, not a mandatory one (like past years).

At least it looks enjoyable to watching, hope its also enjoyable playing it haha

Hmm, that's so stupid. But are you sure it works this way in Divisions? Because there it at least only find other manual passers when set to similar settings. That's why it takes ages to find a match sometimes...

There's also the Liga Aguila which they will announce next week and iirc they said there's another European league to be announced.

I think they're done after the Colombian one is announced.
They did 7 at once then said there was 2 more; those teo being Turkey and Colombia.

Adam said they're still trying to add more (which will be DLC) but in terms of release day, I think this is our lot. Not that it's a bad thing by any means!
