PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

I've read some people on Twitter claiming that anything you do while holding the sprint button will have a little delay in the response times. By choice, by design. Not a bug.
If you try to pass the ball while standing still or while jogging, the reaction is instantaneous, but if you try to do it while sprinting it will take one more second.

So, that must mean the speed stats actually have an impact these year, and there's no catch up bug. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense at all other than becoming something annoying everybody will be complaining about by the time the full game is out. - Why? Well, because it wouldn't even be about "punishing the sprint-button whores", because if the speed stats don't actually matter (like has been the case since PES 2013) then there's nothing to punish to begin with. Plus you already have a Visible Fatigue feature that should be punishing enough.

I don't really know what to make of it. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I hopefully this is the case as not having speed stats matter is pure criminal in this day and age

It was just as criminal a decade ago to be honest.

If it is really true and being in a sprint makes it a bit slower to respond, I might be happy with it. If they can find the right balance for it of course. If they won´t succeed in that, it could become a terrible issue.

Would be a step towards realism and therefore good news to me. Hopefully the response time is used for some fluid animations.

The sprint button should just be useful to speed up into free areas without nearly any chance to change direction.

Agreed. However back in the day the sprint button was actually very useful and realistically implemented. I'm talking about the PSX and PS2 days, of course. Because fast players were noticeably fast and slow players were noticeably slow. And you could change directions while sprinting, diagonally. I think the catch up bug doesn't make sense anymore if Visible Fatigue does indeed work like it's supposed to.

Everthing is allright as long spirinting doesn´t allow zigzag movements or endless diagonal runs. The catch-up-bug is an appearent countermeasure to the player-move-like-tanks whiners that dominated PES from 2015-2017.

If I remember correctly the catch up bug was pretty much very present in 2015. It was introduced in PES 2011 to 2012 (included), then returned in 2014 until 2016. And now it's been there but they toned it down a little.
I would much rather there was not catch up bug at all, and a better defensive system to try to combat it. I don't like these ways of evening up the players and the teams.

If I have a slow defender against a very fast attacker, then too bad for me. I should figure out a way to out-smart him. Maybe even man-marking him. But if it's the other way around, and I have a quick winger against a slow defender, why should I suffer the consequences of Konami's incapacity to provide for real stats having impact on the game?. I am not a sprint-button whore but I do think speed is very important in real life modern day football and should be reflected in the game.

That's why FIFA 16 was and still is the best football game IMHO. Because you have so many types of speed and paces, the real key in individuality was to play with it in order to get rid of good defenders.

So Staramba also scanned Rangers? But what about that RealMadrid post two months ago? Do you think RealMadrid will have scanned faces but just without the official kits/logo?

Staramba always did the facescans. The arsenal ones, the usain bolt video, etc. They're not new to the scene, we just found out on twitter that they scan for Konami

cool and PESMunki and I used PA1 free as a bird the passes that were accurate in PES2018 you’ll misplace them

Told you, it really feels a lot looser.
About the scoreboards - Andre Bronzoni from PES Latin America said that every licensed league had their real licensed scoreboard (Have been talking to some of the Latin America PES Community) But I'm not sure that will be the case? Could you ask there in Scotland if you can?. Have fun with the playsession :BOP:

Spot on I can confirm this

Sounds good but come release i imagine catch up big will still be there to "even" it up

No catch up bug and this will be the demo, the game is 95% done because of the date being so close all that remains is one more league

Key thing for me Dan. Do pacy players pull away from slower players? Does pa1 feel too assisited?

Cheers mate. Enjoy your day you lucky bar steward!

No catch up bug pacy players pull away and just played PESEP we both tried PA2 - PA2 is PES2018’s PA1
