PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

I have to admit when I first saw the 3 year Master League plan, it felt like it had been dreamed up in a pie in the sky agile planning session.

Agile is almost always inefficient, because essentially it is a scam industry.

Not for this thread but I whole heartedly disagree. When it's implemented badly or half arsed, it's crap. If it's done well speed and quality of delivery are exponentially improved.

*Desperately tries to think of some PES 2019 related stuff*

No one answered my question earlier, I've done some searching but can't find anything concrete. Do we know which partnerships include stadia? Feels like we're going to have a load of variation in that area this year which is great.

Stadia aren't a big game seller, as a FIFA player this year mostly I can say most people just choose a a stadium and play with it on FUT for the year

I have not followed PES 2019 news closely, and think PES has been blow par for many years. There are fundamental issues with the game that need fixed before I can enjoy it.

However, I felt compelled to support the game because of Celtic's partnership. £55 pre order, they got me :(
£55? Pretty sure you can pre order a physical copy from Simply Games for £39.

I will not miss the Champions League licence that much. Didn't think pes did that much with it tbh. Just a nice luxury, but I would rather have more teams - and better game play, hopefully, as pes is about the game play, innit?

It was basically a UI skin, apart from that there isn't a lot they can do with it. At least in edit mode it can be included and named correctly, job done. You just don't get the CL theme music but it won't be missed to be fair.

So to summarize so far announced stadiums of top clubs of the next top european leagues after main 4 leagues(ita/spa/ger/eng). We all miss a fake bundesliga 1 and 2...

Announced in bold, default isn't there/isn't announced yet

Portugal - Sporting, Benfica?, Porto?, Braga?
Belgium - Anderlecht, Club Brugge?, Standard Liege?, Genk? Gent?
France - Monaco, Lyon?, Marseille?, St. Etienne?, etc...?
Scotland - Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen
Denmark - Copenhagen(man i wish they add this stadium...), Brondby?, Midtjylland?
Russia - Spartak?, Zenit?, CSKA?, Lokomotiv?, Krasnodar?(in russian league trailer there is some hint for krasnodar stadium but i can't tell)
Turkey - Fenerbahce, Galatasaray?, Besiktas?
Switzerland - Basel, Young Boys?, Grasshoppers?
Netherlands - Ajax, PSV?, Feyenoord?

Really a lot of potential for a nice game even if they add just half of those not in bold.

And it's true licences don't matter because of PES strength in it's edit mode and over the years the wonderful work by the community.
Playing Devil's Advocate, then why are they spending money on the licences if they don't matter?

Just put the leagues in unlicensed and let the community do the work.

Cherlishness aside, my point is that licences do matter and always have. We're only told they don't when Konami miss out on one or lose one. The degree to wish they matter varies from person to person but they matter, one way or the other.

Konami are not bragging they have been announcing, the happiness, bragging and the #takemymoney have been coming from the fans.
I wasn't criticising them for anything, to be fair. I've given them the praise they deserve for getting licences and it will definitely attract some new fans. Doesn't detract from the overall point though.

am I the only one really hyped that the Copa Libertadores is back again? :D :D

I wish they would add a fake 2nd division for Latin America so you can create the Argentina Primera B for example and use it in Master League.

Unfortunately Copa Libertadores is not back, that Twitter image is a fake.

No doubt about that! Of course they can sell more to those countries you guys mentioned relatively to their sales the previous year. But I don't think it will be significant enough to compete with FIFA.
I'm also just replying to someone who said PES can compete with FIFA in sales.

The purpose is not to compete with Fifa in terms of sales at all (i think they/we all know that the bar is far too high)...
But to sell more than their previous PES iteration, and all those league combinated is an irrefutable argument to reach that goal.

The fact that only having Belgium/Russia/Turkey/Scotland especially on PES is something like a childhood dream (even if i'm 36... You know what i mean btw)
Even if they weren't fully licenced. I hope they'll keep those leagues at least for PES 2020...

Now to be honest, the only things which ennoy me a little is the "no (unlicenced or not) Bundesliga". That's a real pain in the ass, since PES 6.

I know things are gonna need to be corrected in terms of stats errors like i've pointed out for PES 2018, but i will do it for sure, and directly when i receive the game, not starting it on May... But i hope my feedbacks will have been taken in consideration, i've worked like a slave to do that.
A thread will be made on purpose, about PES data, and exports too.

I know, but I wanted to buy the Celtic limited edition. I feel like I've been robbed, but I'm happy to support Konami investing in the Scottish league.

Makes me really happy they never affiliated with Spurs or had any Spurs preorder bonuses. That alone would be really hard to resist.

Feel a bit sorry for you in this way but I think Scots, Turks and Ruskis will very much like this game once it gets going.

[I compare this to PES 2013 release when I was hyped to get the preorder delivered ASAP. Oh, how times have changed. ]

Hmm, really? :( is Colombian league actually confirmed or was that fake as well?

I still hold out hope that they have acquired it though.
The image was fake but going off people's reports of the hints that were made during the show in Colombia, I'd expect to see the Colombian league in.

55 quid for PES. That's 72 dollars. Jesus! That doesn't seem right.

Could it have been canceled that late?

From what I heard from a Twitter member, they tried until the very last minute but there were some technical issues between FOX ENGINE and ENLIGHTEN that made it impossible to be included this year.
Looks like when they made the Announcement Trailer, it was very early in the game developement but it was working but then they faced some issues and had to do this 1st Half - 2nd Half split.

Here is the source of what I'm talking about:

My issue is that I would have accepted it and be OK with it had they released a official statement explaining what happened and the issues they faced. What I don't like is when they try to justify themselves and lie to people saying things like "I didn't say it was going to be dynamic" or "I never said this or that personally". It annoys me, a lot.

100% agreed.

I heard that on the Colombian tour, Robbye said something like "You want the Colombian league, right?" the crowd of course reacted and they said "We can't say anything YET, but give us a week" or something like that. Apparently they have to wait until a specific date because of some EA deal before they can announce it. I don't know if it's true though.

Good job finding out and I completely agree with you. The issue itself isn't that important for me but the fact they announced it, then flat out denied it is really poor and only adds to the frustration with Konami.

Why don't they allow us to add another 20 leagues with new players etc through edit mode. It seems when you come to choose an option file you have to be picky about what leagues you want, why not have them all? Surely that's not hard to include?

Yep, completely agree with you. Embarrassingly bad PR. As I've said before, leopards and spots. Repeating the same denials and claiming the same mis-interpretations.

Those stadiums were made by MJTS.
Durandill only made Old Trafford (but didn't complete it) and Allianz Arena (didn't complete it).
MJTS finished Durandill's work and then made the rest. So I think we can expect a lot from both of them, but more so from MJTS.
If old trafford is not replicated like the fifa one, which looks absolutely accurate, then it shouldn t be in the game, that distance btw goal post and stands is an issue..

PES always flatters to deceive. First couple of minutes I was loving it, misplaced passes all over the place! Then the second goal at 6:10...total meh. Volleys, a bit like free kicks, feel too easy, the sliding/teleporting makes it baby mode, you don't have to position yourself properly (although in this case it was okay). The presence of defenders doesn't do enough to affect the player hitting the shot, he's got a defender right in his face wildly swinging at the ball and yet makes a perfect connection with no physical contact or even the slightest impact on the striker, the defender might as well not even be there. And for the way he hit that the resulting shot was so tame and weak. I know I'd get zero satisfaction from that goal. So near and yet so far.
Agree with you

Your post made me smile - because you started off with "Then why are they spending money on licences if they don't matter"

To then starting your next response with "I wasn't criticising them for anything, to be fair. I've given them the praise they deserve for getting licences and it will definitely attract some new fans."

Talking generally here looking at the big picture licences don't matter because like I said in a earlier post (maybe you didn't see it) PES's strength has always been the edit mode.

But moving forward getting as much licences as possible has been a good thing we've seen a positive response to it, loving the energy I've seen from scottish fans, I like to see edit get bigger stadium creator, create a trophy, create captains armbands for various leagues/tournaments, import crowd chants (just a small eg)
