PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

Played PES2018 for 2000 hours. Have a history in game media for 10+ years now and how games are built. Not just the football games. To me its different all around the board. The passing, especially the shooting, the whole way the ball moves more free. The dribbling, the player switching, the snappyness of the tricks and especially the fake shot that makes sense. Paired with a huge graphics upgrade and better animation stitching once again and a lot of animations added. Then I add up all the league's this game will have which is the most PES has ever gotten. A revamped Myclub gamemode, small changes in ML with also the inclusion of every league structure. For a relatively smaller studio thats objectively speaking a lot they have updated within a year, less then a year. A lot of people around me went from FIFA to PES last year as they thought the quality was above average finally again (so do I) So I personally would recommend it in my own experience.

But then the personal flavour come in. What do you want from the game? Evo-web obviously is more die hard full sim based nowadays. But it goes both ways, there are a lot of people that don't like PES2018 and definately will not like PES2019 because its ''to hard'' or ''to slow'' or it ''doesnt have instant gratification as the keeper is saving to much'' I've seen it all already in a year.

So to me, as a youtuber, livestreamer, game reviewer for years. When people tell me in a stream ''Hey Spooky, is the game worth it?'' To whatever game I'm playing. I can't speak for that person. I personally would say yes if I enjoy it myself. I can't put myself in other peoples minds. But I will be playing it! And I have kind of Quit PES during all the PS3/XBOX360 era days (PES2008 to PES2014) as it just did not compell to me as much as PES4/5/6 did to me.

Good and very nice explanation of what Konami done this year and for me personally the last 2 years. There are a lot of moaner out there and this makes it difficult to get a feeling or own opinion for those who want a better game for the community and those who want a better game for its own and personally liking, maybe selfish persons, who crys the loudest, if the my club had a red menu colour instead of Grey.
It's like 250.000 people want better myclub, 300.000 people want better master league, 50.000 want better BAL, 200.000 better nets. Than my club users want transfermarkt, others like the spinning balls, then other want Player cards like fifa but without transfer mark, people who want better graphics, more stadiums, more represented leagues with complete package like scoreboard, chants, balls, climatic zone, different lighting for each daytime.. . dynamic grass, which of course has its own physics and flight thru the wind and landed of one players nose and he blows away this blade of gras. To be a little exaggerate, but I hope you understand it this way... Asim and Co. get feedback every day from people all around the globe. People we don't care about, but it's a big amount of people we don't care about and they sayin "hey the first pass assistance is not good as 2018, it's to difficult "... I think many, many people, much more as we think want things we all annoy about...10% maybe like us love simulation, love the sport, but what would we as a producer, as Konami, do when 90% want a higher-paced-and-assisted-my-club-I-get-my-dream-team-in-2-days-and-its-fun pes? To get money do what most people want and pay for. That's it! Konami had to go the casual-way, otherwise their get destroyed.

Hey man don't discredit people just because they like something and you don't.
It's a matter of tastes.

I’m not, am just saying if they enjoy it for what it is, then their input is not really important, because it’s not really helping others. That’s what the Konami wants to attract, they don’t want to hear about the genuine issues of the game, they want people that praise the game. There is a reason why the series have been stuck for this long. Since pes 2014, we only talk about how they should fix this and how they ruined this and how they ditched this to make a room for that. Very frustrating.

When I see people complaining how PA1 is hard, I don’t take them seriously. Sorry. Especially those so called elite players that play those PES league tournaments, playing with pass support 3. Those are sheep, and are the reason for this franchise downfall. Even in PES 2018, as a PES player since ps1 era, it’s very worrying. We live in an era where things are easily accepted and I just don’t like it but I don’t really attack others for it, that’s why I didn’t mention anyone specifically.

I just think when you’re a player and you enjoy PES every year no matter what, it’s not helping the franchise. I realize it’s with the majority now. People go with the flow. There is a reason why E3 build is always the most praised by those that are like me, because it’s straight out from the dev team, and it genuinely looks good, but when they hear the feedback it really changes things. They panic, they hear the amount of complaints from those with great influence or what not. Reviews for PES for the last 5 years have been total bs. Getting so many high ratings for a non finished game and a broken one in fact is just bs.

I just learned that HAVOK has been acquired by Microsoft and is working with EA.
So one of the strongest points of PES 2014 will probably never be coming back.

How exactly did they utilize HAVOK that year (PES14)? Were any of the features reliant on it? I remember the name but not much else now.

I have to make a correction..I think R-stick feature was called "barycenter physics", could've been part of M.A.S.S. system but M.A.S.S. had a lot more things going on like weightiness and collisions that were also quite detailed. I mean, it was detailed enough when you bump into a guy, you can specifically feel if you bump into his legs or his body, coz the collision physics and animation would respond differently (limps with weight during contact, limps flying but restricted to joint movements, weight of contact transferred through the body to other parts etc). The inverse kinematics were on point

@PES94

My thoughts explaining in a better way and better english. Sorry but I try hart to discuss with all of you, because it's the greatest forum with pes lovers like me.

Well to be clear they didnt confirm the Colombian league but pretty much teased it very hard. They asked the crowd "what league would you want the most" obviously they answered the Colombian (the hosts smiled). Then right before it ended they said to give them 1 week to announce new leagues and to be patient (something like: we know you want the colombian league... we heard you... you'll be happy)

They showed falcao in the licensed colombian jersey, I dont think Colombia NT was licensed last year. Still, this is Konami so I would also expect: "you wanted the colombian league, so here is the official licensed antartic intramural league (with its legends)".

It's kinda weird that they would change the E3 code this time since it was praised enough from what we saw.
Even the Pes Universe guys who are considered a big deal were all saying that they liked what they played and that PA1 is more free and their feedback was to not to change anything.
Only this one fucking ''reviewer'' was saying that it was hard because he can't play proper tiki-taka.. (then put it on PA2 or PA3 if you can't handle it,but stop trying to fuck up PA1 with your clueless noobish feedback just because YOU suck at it you selfish idiot!) ,the same one who said to nerf the fatique affect after playing the demo which he liked all of a sudden(i wonder why..) ..
I won't even comment about that..Fortunate enough i don't think they will change it because Visible Fatique is one of their main new introductions.

The thing is they're much behind EA in Europe and USA saleswise. But they have much better numbers i think in Asia and South America. We know that South Americans love exciting and fun ''circus'' football with technical tricks and backheels and shit,so maybe the feedback they get from these regions is that they like the game to have this more fun arcady approach.

But still, there's no excuse to fuck up PA1 when you have so many assistance options.
The only arguement that a Konami guy could have is that ''When a casual newbie wants to play,he should be able to pick up and play and have fun without the game to be hard and frustrating.
The default setting is PA1,he may not even know that he can go to settings and put it on PA2 or PA3,so we must make sure that he'll have fun even on PA1.''
And my answer to this would be ''Then just make the default setting PA2 or PA3 so he can have fun without having to go to settings to change it because maybe he's not even aware of this option, but also give the option to someone who wants a more realistic feel to put it on PA1 and have a PA1 like it should really be,more free and more stat based.
Everyone wins from this.''

Like i said some time ago, there's also the possibility that they're just doing this on purpose and feedback has nothing to do with it.They just have a plan and they follow it no matter what.
The plan is to present a more sim E3 version so the sim crowd will get excited and start preordering, and then bring a more arcady demo and retail version so the arcady crowd who is much bigger and the one who brings them the more money will be pleased. This way they can get money from both crowds.
It sounds like a very cynical thing to do and is disrespectful to the sim crowd if this is the case and i don't think this is true..but i can't be sure for nothing anymore..

Maybe the cause for this change from version to version is just the fact that they're obsessed with CHANGE itself and they think that they always have to change something in order for it to be considered better and new.
Like if they just released E3 version as retail then someone could say to them ''oh you released it with alpha gameplay without changing it'' so they feel the need to always change it like this is supposed to be what is expected.
They always had that mentality and were trying to present something much different every year.
Changes are good for sure but if you try very hard and basically force it just for the sake of be able to say that you changed something, then maybe it can lead to wrong decisions like adding something that wasn't even really needed and makes it worse or removing something that was good just so you can say that you changed something.
Maybe the best thing would be to not have an E3 version at all so they wouldn't feel that they would have to change it eitherway after, and just release a demo a week before the retail and stick to that gameplay and to the vision THEY have for it without having different people to fuck with their minds with their feedback for 2 months..

Well, I couldn't understand what the chap was saying. :)
Also, people on Twitter claim they couldn't announce it today due to contract issues.

That idiot who gave them that stupid feedback about pa1 should get the boat man...man it s because of these people we are getting stuck every year since 2014 with unfinished game, arcadey, no fouls etc....i like the animations, the nets, all the stuff they made a bit different to 2018,but when it comes to gameplay, its just sitting there, ackers of space in midfield, u can make 3 passes and ur on goal already...

Question for gamers...

My Xbox gold membership runs out on Aug 6 and I want to download Pes demo.
Do I need to renew my gold membership account in order to do so?.
Thanks

Demos are normally free to everyone regardless whether they are a gold subscribe or not.

yes. barycenter and M.A.S.S.!
The new physics engine uses a system called 'Barycentre physics' to achieve realistic player collisions calculated in real time in an attempt to increase realism in collisions. In current PES games a player collisions would result in either the attacker or the defender losing his balance, calculated on their individual stats. In PES 2014 the result of a collission will be much more realistic, taking into account factors like the direction both players were running to and which body part was hit.

a lot of (new) engine stuff that was coming and leaving over the years... a little sad!

So when Konami lost the champions league and other lcenses their guys were saying nothing can’t be fixed without patches, option files ...etc

Now all the discussion is about leagues and teams that can be added with a little patch anyways...

But seriously what about gameplay and game modes?

Absolutely nothing new at all except this team and that league licensing mumbo-jumbo......3 passes and you’re through on goal is the power of football apparently....

i can imagine how stupid and annoying it would look in a 5 min match. howd you implement that?
I think stupid will look if they do it like they say it. After halftime pause the lights and shadows will change, not live during a match... that's sound ever more ridicules if I get it right.
