PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

In that case yeah, it's because of the human player, but many times our teammates in defence and attack are clueless, like they don't know what to do, if track the ball or the player, they make wrong movements, etc, that is something i wish it was improved in Pes 2019.

Agreed, something I'll be looking at closely in the demo.

I'm on pc for many years now and i've never played with mouse and keyboard.
You can play with any controller you want if you install some mini programmes.
I was playing with ps3 controller for some years and now i play with ps4 one for some years.
Pc is certainly the best platform to play especially these games with all the modding capabilities that it offers.

In other news,i see some people still saying that pes 3-6 has better ball physics that what we see in these 19 videos..lol
Nostalgia is a bitch...
From what we saw until now (without actually playing it and feeling it,where it will feel and look even better) ball physics and physics in general look some of the best and more free and varied that we ever had,if not the best ever.
I don't get people who want the game to be like something it was 15 years ago. Also you still have full patches with today's kits and transfers etc for these retro pes so you can keep playing them if you like them so much.
Nobody's forcing you to play the modern pes.
Aside of fouls modern pes has nothing to jealous from the retro ones and in every other aspect it's miles ahead.
You still get some fouls, and yes,in the opposite from what some are saying,it has to do with the way you play to get some more fouls.Like keeping the ball more and try to dribble more etc.
Would i like to have some more?Yes,especially if it was to a good distance for a shot.If it was in my defensive third which i would execute it by making a short pass to my dmf, then it's not a big deal for me that i don't have 2-3 more of them.Like i'm supposed to be like ''Fuck yeah,i won a foul on my defence and now i'm gonna pass it to my other cb or dmf, feels so good!''
10 fouls in a 10 min match would be ridiculous. It would mean one foul every one minute.I think an average of 5 fouls in a 10 min match and 10 fouls in a 20 min match like i like to play it would be good and how it should be.
Many times i get 7-8 fouls in a 20 min match which is very close to 10 so it's good enough. But yeah i wouldn't say no to 3-4 more fouls.I don't know how people say that they don't see any fouls at all. That's just bullshit and they're overexaggerating it.
About penalties though yeah it's ridiculous how few of them are in the game and they should definetely introduce some more.
Few penalties?
How about no penalties?

I wish Konami would make PES more of a sim. It seems so arcadey now. Ah, still might be fun, I suppose. Will have to try the demo.

It's the medias that called PES a simulation, but for the main creator (seabass) he described this as an "action football" game. Realistic in terms of sport reproduction doesn't mean that it's a simulation.

You need to found another description to qualify the difference between PS2 (or PS3 for some...) era and actual era.

Btw i founded PES not hard to score in the past, not that hard right now (1vs1 or CPU).
But to win (or even score) against the CPU, PES 2017 was for me the most difficult game since...

Ever, or since PES 1, but it's more due to the difficulty to control players and some passes which doesn't go were you wanted too, many restriction in terms of liberty about control more than anything else. It was more a chess-football game based on stats, and stats maked the game (physics was reproduced by stats... that's also why there were so many)

I said that, but it's the more marking PES i've remember.

I've tried WE5 Final Evolution more than 15 years later, and it's an even better game.

reason for backheels now is the new feature they have, no look passing combo with backheel, think every player will have that gift

Oh damn you are probably right!
It's the perfect excuse isn't it?.

Re backheels - If you dont like them then dont do them. If the AI constantly does it then thats a worry. But these games were human v human so cant blame AI for that.

Whaaaat?
That's like saying "hey if you don't like dogs barking, don't get a dog!" - Yeah right... like neighbour's dog didn't bark all night anyways.
Backheels happen whether you intend to perform them or not. I play full manual and often times, more than I would have wanted it to happen, when I was trying to pass the ball to a team-mate that's just A LITTLE behind me, to one of the sides, instead of the player passing it with the outside of the foot, or rotating his torso and passing it with the inside of the foot, he'd just do that annoying backheel. That and countless other times and occasions in which it just felt WRONG. Like, they forgot to add an animation for those situations. So they put a band aid to stop the bleeding of a gunshot. Nuts right?

I think that Pep Guardiola's Barcelona's Tiki-Taka style really hurt football games. FIFA suffered from it at that time, and PES is still suffering the consequences of first touch perfect ping pong passing like every player is Xavi, or Iniesta, or Messi, or Busquets, etc.

Perhaps now Ive understand what some of you are saying about, end to end gameplay. Playing PES 5 sometimes I get excited only to GET near the box! It was all about playing safe passes through the Field. Perheps this something thats is lacking on these days. Covering urgency. DMF must rush cover the passing lanes to avoid direct passes to the strikers. This and all the players getting back from the attack crownding the midfield. This would make both human and CPU players try to play safe and not expoil the ball posssesion rushing the pass, not just making the CPU back passing for no reason. Nowdays it looks like players really start to defend only on the final third.

@Dennis_87 sure. i had shooter in mind when talking about keyboard and mouse. i used a ms controller back in the days too. and yes, i love the modding capabilities!! awesome stuff happening. thats why i was thinking about a pc 2 years ago.

one thing i find important too is the costs! a ps4 is 400 euro (for 4-5 years). what does your pc upgrades cost you in that time frame?! ;)
each his own. as i said. plus, i dont like the upgrade, update, windows issues... stress that comes with a computer (IT support and salesman myself, so i know that stuff).

the foul stuff you mentioned in your latest post i agree on! 10 fouls in a ten min match is not what i want. and yes, part of getting fouls from the cpu is how you play the game. i'm sure its part of it!
see these 2 videos i posted. only fouls they get is when running into each other fast. they dont get fouls by shoving the body against the opponent, or shielding the ball with the body, or trying to dribble around them... IRL you get fouls when there is a "battle" between players (body wise). they dont do it.
the esport pros, i guess... maybe i'm not pro enough! ;)

ps: should change my nick to amateur_too! :LMAO:

Well,i actually had 2-3 of them.
And you can always try and use the dive thing also if you have some Neymar in you.
I haven't done it and i don't even know how to do it but i remember user hitmanuk saying that he had won some like that.
Not that this must be an excuse or anything. They should surely find a way to bring more of them and maybe a solution is less rigid and more free physics so the game can detect every little touch and collision. The game looks to have better and more free physics now so maybe we'll have some improvement in that aspect. We'll see soon enough.

PS4 PRO came out last year if I'm not mistaken. And next year Playstation5 or whatever will probably come out. So that'd be like 1000 Euro if you plan to stay current with the latest generations.
For that amount of money I built my own PC (the one in my signature) that will last a lot longer than that being able to play any game at the highest resolution with everything maxed out. Probably about 6 years if not more.

the ps4 pro came out 2016! ps4 is on the market longer. ps5 will not arrive before 2020! so thats 4 years for 400 bucks.
i dont want to start a discussion about it here, as it is ot too. but never ever do i pay more than you. sure you have to put gfx and such in perspective.
thing is, i'm very pleased with "fake 4k". more interessted in details. and thats what the future will bring. more res isnt gonna be the holy grail, imo!

Fucking Pep and his tiki-taka bullshit!Making football look like handball!
The real source of evil and why we have this shit in video games!:DD

Hey my friend, I never mentioned the "fake 4K" because I know it looks good nevertheless.
PS4PRO came out in 2016 but if I remember correctly only a limited version was released via pre-order. And then they released it normally in 2017. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm not. In fact I wanted to purchase it in 2016 and I couldn't because it was only through pre-order, and a limited amount.
What I'm trying to say here is that, PC may be a little more hard word at first, not so straight up plug and play, but the good thing is, in PC gaming if you invest good money once, you forget about it for the next 10 years whereas consoled (whichever it may be) have a lot of PROs but inevitably requires you to upgrade in 5 years utmost, and it will feel dated even then. So if you really want to be up-to-speed everytime, it's a 3 years cycle of 400 Euro. You do the math, mate!

yes it was me, in my experience and i only play cup tournament/league or exhibition, diving is the only way to win a penalty. I havent had one without diving - i also play 20 minute matches.

With the current hardware prices, you need to spend at least 1000€ every 5 years if you want to be able to play new games. Buying a console seems to be more and more reasonable somehow.

Alright we leave it here. All good.

hard work first!? windows computers never stop complaining (see windows updates, driver updates... so much hardware from different brands...)!
just your gfx card (that lasts 4 years) will cost you 2 ps4's!
i dont answer again just to be right! i know what i know and expirienced. can we agree to disagree and go back to topic?!
happy pc gamer you are, and some parts of it i'm jealous at! happy console gamer i am, knowing about its downsides.
happy soccer video game fans we both can be, if PES delivers! :D

edit: so sorry to come back to this. its the last comment regarding that. just checked prices on the GTX 670 (min req.)... cheapest is 289 euro. https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/MainSearchProductCategory.html?q=nvidia+gtx+670

I mean, just because fucking Götze scored at 115' in 2014 doesn't mean I hate EVERY german fella............ right? :D

Two seasons of 18,and none.
10-15 seasons of 17 and less than 10 pens,so it's a major thing,fundamentals needs to be right,and it's not right now.
Hopefully we'll see a change ,but current gen games (15-18) has pretty much removed all fundamentals, like pen and freekicks (17 being the exception).

Surely every Liverpool fan wants to see Salah on that cover front and centre! It's bizarre to me!

At least they didn't put Karius on there...

Looking forward to getting Alisson on the squad updates in November! :D

In all seriousness how long does it take Konami to update squads now?

I think in myclub it's very quick, for base game probably within 10 days of all the transfer windows closing, since England are closing there's early you may have those in a day 1 patch.

Lol if it was Pes 16 then it would be November for sure!
They're updating it very frequently nowadays though.
Pretty sure we'll have all transfers sorted out with a patch in first days of September.
