I just can't see how they'd get the rivalry right to replicate This, not just fouls too but atmosphere ..same as Merseyside derby ..doesmt feel any different in pes 18 to any other game
Yeah that's gonna be very tough to replicate.
Just think if they get Galatasaray Vs Fenerbahce...
I think the Milano derby is alright in 18,but having a hard time seeing old firm/Turkish derbies/Greek derbies/Portugese derbies really right!

When it comes to stadiums,I wish for a ton of them, but more importantly, not being locked to a region.
If I can use South American stadiums for Serie A/La liga and the other way around,I'd be over the moon.
Don't know why we can't do it anymore
Having a hard time believing it's licences who's the problem since I can use any European stadium for any team I want, and SA ones for any SA team.
So it's probably down to konami being lazy/stupid/whatever

4:08 - That f***** backheel AGAIN!?
I can't believe this.

Other than that, the game is looking very good. Both graphics and gameplay wise.
Backheels still frequent.
But I'm more annoyed with the lob goal by Mbappe and the pingpong first goal of Germany(which is completely fine if done unassisted). Both goals looked cheap to me! I assume it's in regular difficulty and hopefully don't happen a lot in superstar.
I also hope there's a difficulty option on online friendly.

reason for backheels now is the new feature they have, no look passing combo with backheel, think every player will have that gift

Just had a good idea regarding team ratings, does anybody remember premier manager by gremlin? How they rated the teams? They should use that to rate the teams and if a team play a weaker keeper through injury it should reflect that.

Another idea regarding myclub when you play Vs com cup games, we should be able to change the difficulty ourselves instead of being forced to play regular, professional and up wards, if we change a regular difficultly game to superstar ourselves, it should reward us better too

I liked the 2v2 match with Jonas Lygaard on the far left Alex Alguacil, (from Spain) who won Co-op and came runner up in the singles at the PESleague world finals in Barcelona (saturday gone) v Eldridge O'Niel (from Holland) a fantastic Pesleague player, don't know who the last guy is, but that was a wonderful exhibition of co-op.

Jonas and Alex won 2 - 1 and it was E3 code that they played in the two video's, preview code videos can be shown tomorrow (embargo lifts)

Get you. But I think it’s down to what you said: difficulty lvl and PA! Plus the style of play. This is a perfect example of what I don’t want to see or play in PES!!

Really. This is the best example of what I don’t like. Fast paced, always forward game style. They play such a fast unrealistic short pass game, it lets the game look worse. Then there is always the same
amount of power they put in. The same tricky short lob they play, the finish with Mbappé is such a generic button combo, they probably did it 1 mio times. And that’s it. They use a limited range of button inputs (and that’s their skill!!!^^) to the max (they know their stuff for sure) all the time. Attacking patterns are nearly the same all the time. It’s crazy in my eyes.
btw: it’s nice to use the keeper manual in last moment 1on1‘s. But look at it. The pros can’t handle that (don’t want to?)?! They just select the keeper to let him run around foolish for like 2 meter. That speaks volumes.

Im free to say if I like their play style and I don’t. I would go so far to say it’s worse than mine. I might not know the exact power or button input at the right time, but I do try to replicate the real sport with all its glory. They just want to win by using some of the core mechanics in the game to the max. And it looks ugly, IMO!

I like the trash talk tough. :) we do that when playing local at my place.

I think that video shows how ultimately shallow the game still is. Once you look past the improved visuals and new animations it's the same hollow and mindless no-stoppage arcade fest.

Too many of the age-old bugs are there too. The first goal he brings the keeper out and the keeper then spazzes out for an easy goal.

The lob goal looked pathetic as they always do, that is Neuer not a women's second division goalkeeper... The ping-pong backheel goal, not much needs to be said about that.

The only goal that looked realistic was the last one off the bar, so that's a 1/4 ratio of potentially satisfying goals, which is about the same as it has been in previous years, not impressed.

Re the Mbape lobbed goal - i think the fact the keeper is about 3 inches from the ball when its crossed and literally doesn't see it is the more concerning than the lob.

The first Germany goal was lovely.

Im looking forward to the demo for the first time in about 4 years.

Re backheels - If you dont like them then dont do them. If the AI constantly does it then thats a worry. But these games were human v human so cant blame AI for that.

I guess many people like me here are critical and not bashing, there is a difference between being critical about the game s faults and long lasting bugs that we ask and want them to improve and bashing the game, for me still i don t see what has changed from pes 2017 to be honest, i still can t see that shot variation at basic shooting, and i still see zipping balls with first touch passing and not enough wobble or physics on the travelling ball"pes 3-4-5-6" ring a bell??
The end to end feeling is still there tbh, i would like to wait until the demo comes but i still can t see the changes that we all want...

i think its because the keeper is manual controlled! the player did fiddle with the stick. sure the keepers movement looks weird. its when you turn real fast in directions! i would look kinda the same in real life if i moved like that! :D
so i think its down to the player for a fair part! i use the keeper manual a lot in last min one on ones! close down to the attacking player, make yourself HUGE, try to guess the corner... if you move with caution, it can be fun and good looking (dont mind the saves i can pull off with that)!
and sometimes its better to let the keeper be controlled by the AI. still figuring out the right moments to choose when using manual, sometimes! ;)

btw: i wouldnt mind better keeper behaviour! :D

It's fine to say that but my BAL player does backheels all the time for passes which are at a 90 degree angle so that's not my fault, that's the game being absurd.

In the first video Germany vs France. The 2-2 goal scored by Muller at 11:15 looks lovely.

The shooting animation, ball movement, net physics. All looks very smooth and impressive.

Where the fuck is the keeper going at 1.34?
Small details like this really make the game look amateur.

I wish Konami would make PES more of a sim. It seems so arcadey now. Ah, still might be fun, I suppose. Will have to try the demo.

Well, just going by the looks PES2018 and PES2019 seem to be the most realistic editions ever created regarding ball and player speed. To me it seems that the AI positioning and awareness is the problem. It leaves too much space for easy attack play, which makes the game fast and arcadey looking most of the time. I hope this problem is mainly down to 1vs1 and the CPU will close down more effectively on superstar or legendary.

Make PES PES again. :)

Looking forward to the demo, will be able to see the AI first hand. As said above a lot of the dodgy player movements are probably down to the human player. Not too long to wait now. :)

In that case yeah, it's because of the human player, but many times our teammates in defence and attack are clueless, like they don't know what to do, if track the ball or the player, they make wrong movements, etc, that is something i wish it was improved in Pes 2019.

@Chuny get a playstation and you are set!

;) but i get you!
i decided to ditch PC gaming years ago... because i was always upgrading and watching specs and install this driver and that update...
so i switched to consoles back in the ps2 days! sure i have to make graphical sacrifices but the comfort of it all (even if there is massive dlc's, day one patches and such...) makes it worthwhile, imo!
plus i got used to controller gaming instead of mouse and keyboard. i tried playing BF4 on a friends PC 2 years ago... and all my mouse and keyboard skills were gone! nothing! :D it was like crazy.
vice versa, he had some big trouble first playing BF1 on ps4. but he got used to it.
I'm on pc for many years now and i've never played with mouse and keyboard.
You can play with any controller you want if you install some mini programmes.
I was playing with ps3 controller for some years and now i play with ps4 one for some years.
Pc is certainly the best platform to play especially these games with all the modding capabilities that it offers.

In other news,i see some people still saying that pes 3-6 has better ball physics that what we see in these 19 videos..lol
Nostalgia is a bitch...
From what we saw until now (without actually playing it and feeling it,where it will feel and look even better) ball physics and physics in general look some of the best and more free and varied that we ever had,if not the best ever.
I don't get people who want the game to be like something it was 15 years ago. Also you still have full patches with today's kits and transfers etc for these retro pes so you can keep playing them if you like them so much.
Nobody's forcing you to play the modern pes.
Aside of fouls modern pes has nothing to jealous from the retro ones and in every other aspect it's miles ahead.
You still get some fouls, and yes,in the opposite from what some are saying,it has to do with the way you play to get some more fouls.Like keeping the ball more and try to dribble more etc.
Would i like to have some more?Yes,especially if it was to a good distance for a shot.If it was in my defensive third which i would execute it by making a short pass to my dmf, then it's not a big deal for me that i don't have 2-3 more of them.Like i'm supposed to be like ''Fuck yeah,i won a foul on my defence and now i'm gonna pass it to my other cb or dmf, feels so good!''
10 fouls in a 10 min match would be ridiculous. It would mean one foul every one minute.I think an average of 5 fouls in a 10 min match and 10 fouls in a 20 min match like i like to play it would be good and how it should be.
Many times i get 7-8 fouls in a 20 min match which is very close to 10 so it's good enough. But yeah i wouldn't say no to 3-4 more fouls.I don't know how people say that they don't see any fouls at all. That's just bullshit and they're overexaggerating it.
About penalties though yeah it's ridiculous how few of them are in the game and they should definetely introduce some more.
