Everytime i say this, people on this website tell me, money, they need money to design a proper menu, then why u wanna compete vs fifa if u don t have enough budget to make everything up to standards...simple as that
Maybe, they just have a bad taste.:D:D:D
It's so ugly, it's hard for me to comprehend that this MENU is acceptable to them.

I really feel Asim and co are not bad. It's Konami who've fucked up. Who the hell fires their most creative guy and also shits on a great game series?

Just when i thought id seen it all. Konami try to blow us all away with a screen shot of liverpool winning 37 games out of 37 with all their front 3 sold to other premier league clubs. The realism is just too much.

111 points!!

I'm sure someone will claim that it's because they're doing "testing" since the "It happens in real life" excuse won't work on this case

Relax guys, they fix ML

You see? Now EVERYTHING IS FINE! THANK YOU KONAMI! Now, all looks fine, correct and realistic.
What about the font? They can’t even line up the letters of words. Database and Confirm are clear to see lol

My #1 issue with ML... Scripting. Won't know if that is fixed until the game comes out...
I think there are bigger issues than the menus (which are outdated as hell)

It'd be nice if they get rid of all the capital letters for the players and team names: " It was a fine game for OZIL in his game with ARSENAL". Looks like a find and replace formula in Excel.

I've read alot of menu comments - for me it's about the gameplay the football on the pitch the pad in my hand.

Menus are secondary for me I'd rather the dev team, small that they are work on main priorities, I'm only in a men for a few moments for for 90mins (football term).

for me it's all about the football, and the lads that went to the Italy for the PreSeason tour are hyped, there is an embargo so I cannot go into details but anyway my turn to check the gameplay out Aug 2nd at Celtic FC .....BOOOM !!!

Since you're the one in the know, Care to elaborate on what are their main priorities?

And I think it's unfair to trivialize the concerns about ML realism and turn it into just a menu appearance thing,Visual issues have been communicated for years now, But also 111 points and unrealistic transfers are a problem too that we'd like to see fixed.

How hard it can be to fix the menus?

One thing they need to sort out with ML is making it difficult to pick up good free agent players. It's so unrealistic that other teams would buy chumps from your squad with no potential freeing up budget to sign better players for free.

The idea of restrictions on wage budget despite having millions to spend on transfers isn't good enough. If there's good players available on a free then loads of clubs should be trying to sign them.

If Liverpool have won 37 league games on the bounce and also won the Cup- surely they've got a new keeper. Either that or Karius' player ID needs more work lol!

I'm not trivializing anything I'm responding to the menu talk that I've being reading a few posts back

update screens has put up to show a truer reflection on twitter (team logos)

didn't we all see the menus from E3?, there wasn't all this menu talk back then, and we see the same menu today and there's a bit if a conversation about menus, unfortunately some people got a bit disrespectful in their feedback/responses.

you don't need me to detail what the priorities are, gameplay, game modes, variety and diversity, everyting working smoothly and efficiently to give gamers a good experience.

and we all have our own priorities things that we look for in PES, things that are most important to us as individuals

Sorry, but it's time for Pes to be a complete product. I'm not asking licenses because i know some licenses are impossible for Pes because of Fifa exclusivity, but they need to have

editing
presentation
menus
modes
online

and gameplay at least at a good level of quality. I don't think they have excuses anymore. It's no 2000s anymore.

Reviewing today’s events. A part of me could care less about menus and the other part of me is like...I pay $60 here in US for a game that I expect to have an engaging look and a complete package. No disrespect to the “it’s all about gameplay” crowd because yes, if the gameplay sucks all the other fluff/modes don’t matter and I was part of that crowd for 10+ years. however...Look at Madden, FIFA, MLB The Show, NBA 2K, NHL just look at all the modes and the complete packages and online stability and they all cost $60. So if it’s all about gameplay then charge me $30 for the gameplay and I’ll buy it if it’s good. Paying $60 for a product that doesn’t even come close to a total package like what EVERY other sports game on the market offers is utter bullshit.

development from menus to game play should all be professional quality. PES just isn't up to Konami quality like there baseball games are.

PES developers are making Japanese look bad.

iv said it a few times, its seems they want us to go over to the competition, and im not surprised with the lack of effort in ML, saw it coming even before the game was announced, as iv said konami are very bad version of EA 15 yrs ago, they are taking fans for a ride at a premium price, but as you said if it was 30 bux there would be no complaints id probably buy it as well, cos to me that's how much the game is worth too.

Exactly what I wrote on my Twitter hours ago mate

There was more to the discussion than that and it was more rounded than just menus.

A quick photoshop job doesn't change it though; complete oversight from them which happens a lot. The 111 points part wasn't changed either; if you're championing realism then pick a better screenshot.

Nobody here has been disrespectful, so that isn't relevant here.

That's fairly vague. Konami reps have said themselves that Master League was one of the main focuses this year. Do you think those screenshots and the website description (that claims several things as 'new' that were already in 2018) shows sufficient progress and change based on their claims of focusing on it?

and we all have our own priorities things that we look for in PES, things that are most important to us as individuals
We do; many people have fed things back for many years too yet we don't seem to be seeing any changes. How many years have the menus been clunky for now? Far, far too many.

Japan loves 'cartoonish' graphics. Nothing wrong about it. Could it be better? Yes. Will it be better? No. So no worry about it. Hopefully the gameplay it self will be great this year.

we all saw the menus at E3, they haven't changed much (yesterday showing) - the menus are fine, there's no clutter and it's simple to navigate around.

there's bigger fish to fry in my opinion. menus would not be top of my list of priorities.

Menu is secondary to me too but I think it's also one of the less complicated things that they can improve that doesn't need a lot of budget/manpower.

And even if they didn't prioritize the the MENU, still it shouldn't be that ugly unless they really like how it looks currently.

This makes sense. That's why PES looks like what it is.
I guess we have to accept the fact that they're not trying to make it look realistic or elegant.

If that's the case, they should focus on the GAMEPLAY and make it REALLY GOOD!

The menus defintely need a freshen up and you can see that the user made UI's look so much better. Konami could even use a previous example in PES 2011, which looked great.

My main problem is the loading times in the menus as the little blue circle in the bottom left corner is so annoying. Menus should be snappy and smooth, not having to wait 5-10 seconds.

There is a certain possibility that Konami revealing some menu graphics may have led to a discussion about menu graphics. Pretty much as it is not that surprising that license news lead to widespread license discussions. I am pretty sure that the topics will change in here as soon as the detailed gameplay informations regarding the groundbreaking improvements to fundamental issues like injuries/fatigue and AI hit the community like boomboomboom.

Yeah to be honest loading times trump menu aesthetic for me any day. One of the things that really de-motivated me on PES 2018 was sitting through menu's loading and connecting. That alone is time consuming and made me not even want to boot up the game.
