So the question is, how did it end up that the Arsenal / Man Utd badges were next to those LFC player names in the first place? Were they photoshopped on, or photoshopped off? I can't imagine a single reason why the Arsenal/United badges would appear next to their name - which would mean the new version has been photoshopped...

EDIT:

Reading that - and bearing in mind it's a human manager in control of Liverpool - I reckon they've been testing transfers (or similar), sold Salah, Mané and Coutinho, and then a screenshot's been taken for PR purposes, and now they're realising it looks bad, so they're photoshopping the image to reassure everyone that crazy transfers don't happen (and maybe they don't - again, this is a human manager). Which is fair enough.

That's the only explanation I can think of. Perhaps I'm being stupid, but I just can't envisage another reason why an erroneous screenshot where the wrong badges appear next to the LFC player names would exist.

How come in this screenshot Liverpool have their badge on the standings table, but Firmino and Mané have a generic badge on the goalscorers table?

...oh. Because in the first season, Arsenal have bought Salah, and Man Utd have bought Firmino and Mané. What on earth...

Liverpool are the user-controlled team, at least. For a minute there, I was thinking AI Liverpool had sold their entire front line...

Also @PRO_TOO we'll need links as well, the Twitter feed you're taking screenshots from is cutting off a lot of the images!

;)

i'm off for lunch now! later...

I was going to reply to the first post with rage but the comic cheered me up

I would like to thank everyone that will give their impressions about the new Master League and save me money instead of blindly buying the game. I don't believe one word they say about realistic transfers in Master. One more reason to wait before buying, it's just one month and we will know the truth.

He still didn't answer the original tweet that pointed out it also saying "last-game title winners" despite them having a 20+ point lead.
That box text is about the English Cup though, not the league.
It says "last match title winners", then mentions winning the cup. I've never known a "title" be anything other than a "league title". It reads like they've won the league/cup double.

Thinking about it, I bet it's just one of those generic blocks of text that doesn't properly relate to your personal experience, like commentary lines where they say "he never usually misses from there" after a season where he's scored two goals in twenty games. If you see what I mean (so it says "last match title winners" no matter how you won the league).

Either that, or the screenshot is a photoshop job where they've pasted different elements onto it - from the same source that had the Arsenal/United badges in the top scorers' chart (possibly next to actual Arsenal/United players).

Will we get any gameplay opinions from todays playtest in Milan?

Not any honest enough opinions on the actual gameplay though. Well, there's always hope. More like opinions on how good Beckhams eyelashes looks. And the same old "have to play it in 4k" blabla. The game will be hyped up for probably no reason at all and on release day we'll be sitting here with a dull game. But there's always "next year"... :(

I don't know why is everyone saying "RIP ML" now when we had these exact news since E3 about it, been over a month now. All we got is a few pictures showing nothing new but different menu colors.

It's not RIP yet, it's just copy paste for another year. And you know very well from the last few years, what Konami announces initially, give or take a minor thing or two, that's it.

I'm predicting is the same for the extra 2 leagues, they will be data packs dlc at best, and i strongly think the dynamic time is a hoax too, just like "dynamic weather" somewhat turned out to be. I just hope Ansel from PES 18 is somehow kept, but i wouldn't be surprised if nvidia switches side over to FIFA now.

Menus are a problem and master League looking the same again this year is another letdown.

The core coding has always been solid bar CPU transfers it's the presentation which is just so dry and poor.

This mode has been too basic since 2013 where they butchered a great system for micro-transactions. Now its a very dry mode with no presentation which makes you feel as if it its a series of friendly matches where you can trade and improve players.

I don't know about this whole 3 year plan, its probably better to take a risk investment and hire a separate team to really jazz the mode up, and that team can really go hard in presentation also.

Started out being kinda hyped for Pes 19,since gameplay looked/looks alright.
"Hmm maybe get a Xbox X?"
Now after the very vague or very limited info on ML,same screens, will they make exclusive leagues special or not,it's more like "hmm maybe get a PS2 and get a copy of PES3?"

The reason ML has been held back is due to the marketing of myclub/legends and the extra bucks it brings in. Look at the money they splash on the likes of Maradona, Beckham etc. Konami are not a tiny concern. ML players have been mugged off big time for years now. Excuse after excuse.

I think the menu graphics aren't the (time-consuming) problem for Konami. It's its implementation.
Already read several Tweets about hiring the community members who made these concepts (the one by JARN20 is the only good one I've seen). And questions like why they can do it but a company like Konami can't. Did they think about the best possible User Experience or only went for a good look while creating their concepts? Are they familiar with programming?

Ain't a good excuse because the menu is bad for years but you definitely have to take it into account. It isn't only about hiring an artist who creates a completely new menu in a few days. Just think about how many menu layers there are. Not only the layers but also the different routes (what happens when you press X here? what happen when you press O there?..). I can upload all necessary menu files if someone wants to dig further into it.

The good part is that they're already searching for new programmers as well as UI designers.

You would have thought they would know how attentive the community is to pics like that. If it'd been my job to okay released pics I definitely would not have shown one where Liverpool were top having won 37 out of 37. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

It’s 37 matches a season? I thought 38. Hm...
That would be 114 points.

I really can’t think of it being so complicated.
I did dvd menus with different layers and stuff in the past. In my mind it’s nearly the same.
It’s a freaking menu.

Over the past few years I've played the Pes demos then bought the game either just before or on launch day. This year I'm playing it a little more cautiously by trying the demo then waiting a while after launch before I decide.

regarding the new ML 'news' I am at least intrigued by 'accurate and realistic player development' but its one of things you wont know if you're happy with until you actually play a full season...

How hard is it for them to hire an artist to make their menus. Seriously they are clearly out of their element here and they just won’t accept it.
Everytime i say this, people on this website tell me, money, they need money to design a proper menu, then why u wanna compete vs fifa if u don t have enough budget to make everything up to standards...simple as that
