I don't know much about FUT, but that sounds almost identical to FUT.
Yeah, it does—at this stage.

In the interview with "Precision", Asim said it was a more "traditional" card-style game that you might be more familiar with "from other games in the genre".

I did have to have a lol.

But let's see. I hope they'll have their own take on things, when it comes to specifics.

Haha, I didn't listen to that but that's hilarious.
I'd like to hope they do something different, although it means very little to me as I don't play it.

That's a bit extreme. Konami has *always* been translated poorly. There are even blatant errors/weird things, e.g., in the French translations going back years and years. Saw a thread on Twitter comprised of French people complaining/joking about how ridiculous it was.

Even the English in-game instructions are not usually exempt from unnatural looking translations.

Yup, the german translation is poor either. Grammatically wrong.
But well, KONAMI isn´t the only one. German translation in PUBG is bad either :P .

PES needs to freshen up fast and KONAMI are probably aware and that is why they are stepping away from the spotlight, they just can't compete with FIFA. If PES reaches an adequate package condition in 2-3 years, they might go and compete once again, but with all the man power EA has, I am not sure how complacent EA sports will be during that time.

This "time off" can only be a good thing for the franchise. Lets see what will happen.

Good post.
I´m wondering about this for quite a time. Is it really a question of manpower?
When checking on social media, many people comment that they like the gameplay of PES and the animations more than EA´s game, but because of the licenses and FUT and bells and whistles they always choose to buy FIFA.

If KONAMI could make it to improve the stuff EA can´t do, they could really make their own special product.
Nail the gameplay, work on the visuals, atmosphere, game modes (ML, BAL, LEAGUE etc) and IF there are license issues, provide editors and make the modders happy.

Pes should be its own thing, stop going for the Fifa crowd, and develop another concept of football game. Unfortunately Konami is going more and more the Fifa way, the packs, the team of the week, player of the week and all that show you they don't have enough innovative ideas to make Pes a unique experience.

I don´t mind KONAMI going that way. After all it´s a mode no one HAS to play and without spending a dime, you can get a decent team either. Microtransactions is where the money is, so it´s logic that they wanna step into that market, which they really should do.
In fact FUT is quite a cool mode. I played a lot of FUT 15 and 16 and never spent a single cent on it.
The mobile app made it possible to trade cards gaining coins, which you can spend on buying players and stuff.
The value of the players rise and fall because of specific factors like form, news etc...a little bit like a stock market.
It´s been a lot of fun, working on players and team outside of the game and when you bought players cheaper because of a smart trading style, you couldn´t wait to get home and start playing with your team.

The only problem is the gameplay. Surely it´s a matter of taste, but I can´t play that puppetish-animation game no more.
Plus, those hardcore dribbling players you meet are a pain in the ass.

PES, imho, has the better gameplay and animations, so they should work on myclub. Add more depth, build a mobile app, make it possible to trade cards outside of the game!

On the other hand: imagine EA would totally rework player models and animations and finally get rid off that cartoonish player movements....whew....

That was what i meant when i said we are never happy. There are plenty of reasons to not be happy about Pes, i say let's focus on those and not on some weirdly phrased words.

Except that part the article is very informative, they told us:

Menus will be more live, with videos in Master League too, probably showing entire actions instead of screenshots
Official presentation for every licensed league
Squad roster being updated to 40 players
Detailed how Myclub player packs will work
Confirmed that official regulations for licensed leagues will be in
There will be more licensed stadiums compared to Pes 2018

That's hardly nothing, and it's a good job comparing Pes 2019 to Pes 2018 to underline improvements.
We will see when it's out. The problem is you guys are acting like we've never been there before, numerous times. Enough of this nativity.

They can PR their way all they want, but it's what happens on the pitch is what counts in the end.

See you guys when the demo's out.

Doesn't Konami have some kind of partnership with Match Attax? If I remember correctly some of the editions last year came with a pack of Barcelona or Dortmund cards? It we would be cool if that is somehow implemented into revamped MyClub. But as to how is anyone's guess. Game play or otherwise.

This year i'm being very cautious, already said i won't buy the game at release waiting for your (evo web) impressions and i will do so. I'm just saying there is no need to exaggerate things that are not really important.

You are correct, but if the gameplay is amazing and the modes are lacking, what do we do? It's a package, sure we can have some fun without them, but... we've played this game far too long to enjoy the same old, same old.

There are absolutely no injuries in tournaments and season mode, no matter if the option is turned off or on. I don´t know about master league, but as far as i know you don´t get them ingame as well.
They do happen in master league but not too often - suits me when I am in a 3rd year and onwards so I can force youth players development. 2017 was the other way around in master league. Maybe 2019 gets adjusted to be just right.

I wonder why nobody talk about "hand-ball" ? for me that's the only thing PES still missing :)

To me there is still tons and tons of stuff not represented as it should be in the game to even start think about something so complicated, unpredictable and potentially frustrating as hand balls. It's just too difficult to simulate it plausibly as of now.

I easily see kids mindlessly tweeting to have VAR in the next games, if it will became as popular as it should..

Considering the current trend tho, I'm afraid they'd introduce VAR for the referee only to undo the few penalties given..

40 player teamrosters for pes 2019 ,also league setup in master league like in original leagues ,and different menu for every league.
Pes 2019 news about Master league and my club ,wepes reddit .

You should read this thread, already mentioned above, but still thanks for looking around. Keep doing that.:D

It's still in. I don't mind it to be honest. Wonder which will be the first to do VAR?
FIFA was first to have vanishing spray, so there's your answer. I was actually expecting it to be a selling point for this year, but not just yet.

For that the best first would be referee ID.
Which is never explored in any footy game yet...i know Fifa has strictness levels but not really standing out. I want a game where i get a ref and i know from the get go i cant slide tackle everyone or dive recklessly with Neymar because i get straight red. A very few of this, a very few of lenient refs and neutrals mostly.

Nevermind Be a referee mode, what about Be a VAR official mode? I'd love to sit in that room and have to watch replays and decide if something is a penalty, red card etc.

Really liking the snippets of info being released.

PES has been stale since 2015 with only gameplay changes and identical crap online and offline.

For 2019 offline is seemingly gonna be better and muclub might be able to get me back with the overhaul they are doing too, good times.
