On the "Will Fulham still be licensed" issue, it may be nothing but that Lyngaard chap on Twitter is currently liking loads of Fulham posts. You'd think that if Fulham was done, he wouldn't be following them anymore.

In terms of "how" people get no fouls, you could just watch the innumerable 2019 videos that have next to no fouls (or as so often is the case, potential fouls that don't get called). Maybe "force" was a wrong term used by me to describe if I want to get foul awarded in my favor. However no fouls is standard play - if you are not going for them. If I decide to play from wings, or direct shots on goal when situation is right, at all times avoiding contact with AI then AI will sometimes block a pass or shot and it will look like a foul, but on replay AI always gets the ball first and my player falls, so I get no fouls awarded to me.

Agreed, could be due to various factors that some do not get them. And I kinda like there are not many injuries - in previous versions they were too many too often in master league :SHOCK:

Maybe 400+ licensed this time, we'll know soon anyway.

Interesting and surely good news on team size increase to 40, maybe this is a sign we'll get regens in year 2 or year 3 of ML upgrades at last!

And who's this written by? It's one of the laziest/weakest pieces I've read in a very long time. It reads badly like it's rushed or translated straight from Japanese without proof reading. A lot of it is incoherent and make no sense. For example:

I thought exactly the same when I read it on the official website.

Konami/PES is looking more and more like an indie game that's growing.

Not to that extent. It's just the writing was really bad. I'm not sure if it's rushed or straight translated, or just plain bad, incoherent mishmash. In any case it's not right, especially for a company like Konami. If you're trying to sell the game, this piece makes no sense. It isn't doing it justice. There are other areas where they copy pasted the exact points from previous paragraphs.

PC is current gen, they have 4K last year too and even if they didn't support it, PC is a magical platform, we can fix it to even support 8K.
Also, PES 2018 has 361 licensed clubs.

That's a bit extreme. Konami has *always* been translated poorly. There are even blatant errors/weird things, e.g., in the French translations going back years and years. Saw a thread on Twitter comprised of French people complaining/joking about how ridiculous it was.

Even the English in-game instructions are not usually exempt from unnatural looking translations.

PES2014 really had the DNA of a next-gen PES. But somehow they mixed up the criticial feedback regarding bugs and technical issues with the general satisfaction of the game philosophy. While PES2015 has been some kind of playable arcade/simulation mashup it all ended in the absolute catastrophy of PES2016.

There are absolutely no injuries in tournaments and season mode, no matter if the option is turned off or on. I don´t know about master league, but as far as i know you don´t get them ingame as well.

Well since you don't, you wont get the joke. BAL has a ridiculous number of Injuries. 4-5 per season for a player.
Sliders are a must in sports games today.

Except that part the article is very informative, they told us:

Menus will be more live, with videos in Master League too, probably showing entire actions instead of screenshots
Official presentation for every licensed league
Squad roster being updated to 40 players
Detailed how Myclub player packs will work
Confirmed that official regulations for licensed leagues will be in
There will be more licensed stadiums compared to Pes 2018

That's hardly nothing, and it's a good job comparing Pes 2019 to Pes 2018 to underline improvements.

I've already "liked" your post but it doesn't feel sufficient - great post. Entirely agree.

Such is the need to shoot the game down, I didn't even know they'd gone into detail about the new way of doing things in myClub (the packs).

PES is in a really weird spot. It has 0 chance of competing with FIFA and now KONAMI finally embraces the fact, but the only "rival" is it's own self. PES as a package is barebones acceptable, If I wasn't a fan of the franchise, I would never buy it.

Online is abysmal - Horrible p2p, lack of filtering connections in COOP, Lag Cheaters, Disgustingly slow menu transitions, game mode abusers aka. 1+A.I.vs3 coop(absolutely terrible from KONAMI for releasing COOP in such a state...horrible!)

BAL - well dead mode...completely forgotten...

ML - Boring old mode, hopefully they will freshen it up... well we've heard that one before, so...

Tournaments are fine for a LAN party, etc. But thats it...

My Club can be fun for a day or two, but you either grind there or pay, so it is kinda lackluster atm. They might update it tho, since it is THE mode the play. But with the dreadful online...not my cup of tea.

PES needs to freshen up fast and KONAMI are probably aware and that is why they are stepping away from the spotlight, they just can't compete with FIFA. If PES reaches an adequate package condition in 2-3 years, they might go and compete once again, but with all the man power EA has, I am not sure how complacent EA sports will be during that time.

This "time off" can only be a good thing for the franchise. Lets see what will happen.

EA simply doesn't care, they don't need to step it up with such non existent competition. (But we are nearing Pes/Fifa comparisons) They can release the game one month later and still be certain 99% of the people that bought Fifa 18 will buy the new game. Besides, if they feel threatened by Pes they quickly try to sign as much exclusive deals as possible to be sure some important teams are not in Pes (looking at you Dortmund).

Pes should be its own thing, stop going for the Fifa crowd, and develop another concept of football game. Unfortunately Konami is going more and more the Fifa way, the packs, the team of the week, player of the week and all that show you they don't have enough innovative ideas to make Pes a unique experience.

I am waiting for the day EA implements a contemporary animation engine. It´s the one and only thing that keeps me playing PES anymore.

Where is this info? I haven't seen anything new since E3 and the content creator day thing, where they just say it's a pack system and you might get 3 in a pack or a choice of how many. Would be interested to see more details though.

I'm glad to see official presentation is in for licensed leagues, as it should be the bare minimum these days. Hopefully they do it justice. Glad to see the league structure confirmed too, including the Scottish split.

I just hope they all have trophy presentations. The website has some trophies for licensed leagues and some without, I hope that's just an oversight.

That's the new detail. Until now we only knew that player packs were going to be in Myclub, now we know

It's not. Asim said it in some of the E3 interviews, as well as the content creator day thingymabob.

Not that it really matters.
