PES 2019 Discussion Thread (PS4, XB1)

Going down to cex later to pick it up with a trade in. I'm sold... Now... Where's the OF with the least amount of duplicates!

I couldn’t even look at the replay to check if it was in. It looked in to me. Maybe someone can spot in the video. I wanted to Keep the scene running. And as it showed I had a lovely counter attack. It flows so nice now. Might up the difficulty. It’s all full manual btw.
 
Ok played three matches so far, Liverpool vs a chinese league side, Pal vs Juventus and Algeria vs Italy.

Game flows well, but it always did anyway. In the first game my keeper rushed off his line a few times which was good and he actually conceded a pen from it which was good. The chinese team I was playing varied its passes a little bit but i saw no long shots or much hit crossing.

Second game was much better. Spal actually varied the play and whipped in crosses which caused some nice situations with my keeper coming off his line, flapping and the cpu hitting a shot from outside the box. There were some nice chances created and some nice keeping from both sides, smothering and tipping them around the post. No super long range efforts but one or two from just outside the box.

The third game was the same, Algeria scored a lovely header, however my equaliser was a bit disappointing as the keeper didn't really come out to meet me when i was clear in the box.

Still testing but a general improvement. Not every cross is low and the crosses seem varied at differing angles.
 
One half of my old Milan ML save,and this game is completely different to what it was pre patch
CPU attacks varied,, 70-81 in pass %
I'm having a very tough time breaking down Genoa's defence
1-1 after one half.
I can see myself getting back to this game for sure

OK my friends I have played around 5 matches now:-

Just finished game v West Ham. It was magical and I am not getting carried away...

- they scored a goal from outside the area [Yarmolenko]

- game before that v Bournemouth. Their striker one-on-one through on goal, he doesnt pass sideways or run sideways, he chips my GK and the ball bounces off the underside of the cross bar and goes in. Looks beautiful.

- there are new animations I am certain.

- game IS NOT quicker. Dont let the placebo guys tell you otherwise, pace is exactly the same

- game is looser though maybe this is why people find it quicker? you have more control both off and on the ball

- CPU's attacks are so varied now....after playing a lot of the other game where the CPU's attacks are first time thunder bolts from outside the area nearly every other goal, you really notice how realistically this flows at times [sorry for comparison but I feel its needed here]

- team spirit still plays too much of a part in master league and this still annoys me

- PES 2019 is now a true football game. There's not enough content but from a gameplay perspective its the best around right now and I'm hooked.

So good to see something likes this, overdue!!!!!, finally!! Looks ace.

New animations for the keeper when the ball goes directly over him and the bar but safely out. There is a new one. :)

Playstation 4 pro, latest patch. No mods possible.

It’s a joy!! :APPLAUD: Trust me.

Btw: I find it easier to under run high passes to me. Before you always stayed at the cross where the ball landed. Now you can move away by accident like in the other game. Love that.

Loved the loose ball in the first video mate, almost never seen that myself.

If that was in relation to my 90th minute winner, this was offline against ai on Professional. The ai didn't become superhuman after i scored, so no sign of them being unstoppable at the end of matches as others had experienced pre-patch. I felt under pressure, sure, but they didn't equalise and I saw out the victory
 
Loads of complaints about the two Scottish Stadiums and the scanned players being missing. Its clear that in December (I guess) they'll release DLC3 with the grounds and all the faces. Kinda like some Scottish super pack. Its shite it takes so long but it is what it is.

Agreed. I've become much better at my off the ball game that i force the ai into making mistakes. I see this as a plus. If theres an easy pass for the ai, then there's no reason for them to miss it unless under pressure.
 
I played the game after patch, and it’s still a not a good game. I don’t think I’m going to buy the game anymore. I will wait for a new engine.

Really? Gameplay is far more important to me...couldnt give a rats tail about Messi's eyebrows.
 
Me Vs. AI Chelsea (clean game, hence fake kits), Top Player ... finally got away with Mane at 30-ish meters from the goal, dragged it deliberately as long as possible and Kepa ran all the way out to close me down

Love the AI attack, love the keeper! And this is Villa in ML Konami squad.
That lovely outside boot pass by the AI to that player waving with his arm... love it. Don’t mind the score. It’s fun.

Sure some doll PES moments still in there. But much better.

I closed the app now. Need to play RDRII again. 4 hours break with PES must be enough for today. But it speaks volumes that I put RDR aside for this time! :)
 
Also, when you do the live update, you are give the option of updating national teams. I always pick no. But did they fix the Brazil national team like they said they'd try and do? Not that it matters to much as all the players are in the game now. Im just wondering if they managed to sort it or not...
 
About speed of the game...

It is very different pace of the match playing 95 rated players on both teams - on blue arrows,
or two lower teams on red arrows.

So someone could say it is quicker now or then, but it is not always the same, depending on players ratings and form.
 
Also, just had a look at the master league and you indeed cannot select the Thai league. But, all the players are in the database to buy. And in terms of duplicates, I searched for Hulk and only one showed up. It was the CSL version. The ACL version didn't show up.
