shame it's set to five minutes - because things like stamina and a good feel for the game needs to be appreciated a bit more
Daniel, have you any idea why the offline matches are only 5 minutes?
Nobody had any inkling this would be the case as PES demo's always have a 10 minute option? It's incredibly stingy from Konami and quite frankly pointless? I don't get it.

if you need a day off from work to play some PES demo... TheMidniteKid got you covered: https://www.pesuniverse.com/pes-2019-demo-6-excuses-for-a-day-off/
:D

GREAT STUFF!!! LOL...
Best excuse I reckon is 'carer's leave'... don't need to say much more... its personal. Someone in the family needs assistance, and you'll need to be there. Of course, you'll be taking care of your pes fixation...
hands up if you took the day off???? <waves hands in the air>

You think they accidentally reduced the time? Of course it isn't pointless. EA have done it for years. It's designed to make you go "that wasn't long enough, I need to play longer halves, I need to buy the game".

Look at this thread. It works. Even if it means we don't get to test the "visible fatigue".

+ Weight of the players is the best it’s ever been, it has that feeling of real football.
+Ball physics is better but hard to know how good tho since 5 minutes isn’t enough.
+Passing and shooting is more varied especially shooting, it has that weight to it. But I hardly messed around with it because again 5 minutes is not enough.
+Graphics are incredible and I’m playing on the regular ps4 so I can imagine that it looks better on the ps4pro.
+You know for a 5 minutes I sure as hell im getting fouls. So that’s a really good sign.
+Speed of the game is perfect, it’s going to please those that love the game to be slow as in realistic.

There is more to talk about but AI is decent nothing ground breaking

Has anyone noticed any good shooting variation, the likes you saw at E3 where Oxlade was slicing it sky high or hitting the corner flag? My feeling from the more recent videos was that they toned it down.

It doesn't work at all it's just really annoying mate. I never said they accidentally reduced the time. Everyone knows the demo's always have 10 minute matches, I see no reason why they needed to reduce it, it benefits nobody IMO. It's an annoyance I can live with but I was very surprised to see only 5 minute matches.

How do you set up a NZ account? using a browser? And does the profile remain on your ps4 always or can you delete it?

see. i have this feeling for years now as i tend to play 15-20 min matches! nothing new to me though... just worse this year (itr)! ;) but i get the idea behind it...
and no, i wont get a PC to play this game! :BLEH:
:))

edit: ill probably put all effort into one single attack! one or two shots at goal... ill definitly not get myself forced by game to play faster!

Just sat with ball in my box with a defender on superstar for whole half no one from Barca approached me same ai issues
Now that is worrying. Did not want to read that poor ai stuff like that still goes on. What difficulty were you on? Although, in my book, it should not happen at all - lazy coding once again then.

I've literally just started my first match in the Milan derby and the AI have already conceded two fouls and I'm only 4:41 into the game, good to see.

Visually the game is a step up and is easily the best PES has ever looked. Still no zoom function on the 360 replay camera which is ridiculous.

The game feels like it has more weight and is slower than 2018 which is definitely a good thing.

Nice one - and your right the PS4pro is insanely good for PES2019

it means we don't get to test the "visible fatigue".

No reason why not – an effect like Visible Fatigue should make its presence felt no matter the match length. Whether it's a 5-minute match or a 20-minute match, if it's really in the game, it'll be in the game.

I agree mate this is the best looking PES game to date, as for the zoom function I'll feed back and we'll get this in.

Played a couple of games and love the pace! I really hope this stays the same. A good graphical step up too, I was worried the standard PS4 wouldn't look much better than last year but It does, guess I can hold off buying a PS4 pro and 4k TV for a little longer now.

Typical been on a course in London on train back to Manc should be firing up the Xbox by 6. Defo on pC this year now I’ve a gaming PC. Gonna use the clock hack to run it longer With the demo

So, I just signed up just so I could make my comments known on the demo, although I have been a long time reader of this forum..

As a preamble, I really enjoyed 2018, played online and offline and although the PA3 players and the AI scripting irritated me, me and my girlfriend found Master League to be enjoyable and I enjoyed MyClub for the most part when I wasn't playing the cheap tactic individuals.

Played a couple of online games of the demo and it does feel lovely, there is a certain weightiness about the players and it feels right. I played as Monaco and Schalke and you could feel the difference, a big lumbering center half felt a million miles from Lemar or Konoplyka (probably spelt that one wrong). Really enjoyed the dribbling, it felt good beating the opponent one on one and a few times I left my opponent on his backside with a deft change of direction or a quick dummy. The skills feel nice but not overpowered which is a good balance to have in my opinion.

Crossing felt less overpowered. I had Falcao in the box and despite my best efforts I only got him on to the end of one high cross, the defenders looked good at marshalling the air it seemed.

Defensively I felt like my players were reacting better than last year, passes that would have snuck through my midfield or defense were being mopped up and there was a great feeling of weight over the lighter players like Mbappe. Yeah, he might do Naldo for pace but if he is trying to muscle past him, not a chance. I never felt like my defense was pulled out of shape but I wasn't over abusing pressure either so their formation remained pretty tight. Managed to keep my opponents down to about 3 shots over 2 games which is a nice change from last year.

The passing on PA1 felt better. I won't say it is free because it isn't, what it did feel like was my input mattered. While the ball seemed to go to players feet a lot, (although later in the game, nowhere near as much as fatigue crept in) using the through ball helped to pop it in front of players. What I did find was that you need to be a bit more accurate with the power bar as too much will try and send it to someone a lot further forward and will probably end up being cut out. It felt nice though, and it did feel like I had to think about my passes although I am the sort of player who wants to take a touch rather than first time it about anyways. Didn't see any back heels in two games which was nice, or at least none that stood out as out of place.

Shooting felt good too, I ran through a few times and missed by quite a way because I was on the wrong foot or had messed up my angles, dragged a few wide, stuck a few at the keeper or over, it feels a lot better than 2018 which was just a touch too predictable. Long range shots that I took didn't have that ridiculous over power that most seemed to have in 2018 and a few bobbled wide or through to the keeper.

Keepers looked good although like others have said, they are a bit stuck to their line, dunno why my opponent didn't bring them out a couple of times but never mind. They made some lovely saves and reacted well, just need to unstick them a bit and they will be fantastic. Like others have said, in player versus player that won't matter too much as we will all call them out but versus the ai it may be a bit unrealistic.

Attacking wise it just feels nice, it feels good knocking the ball about in the midfield and trying to setup an attack and it also feels nice launching a quick counter attack. I tend to do a lot of wing play, especially with Schalke and I felt like I could play how I wanted without it being a huge disadvantage to not spam pass or through ball like some others do. I know that may change as players work out the exploits but it was nice today. It also felt different with the two teams I tried. Schalke really worked with 3-5-2 and wing backs advanced instruction while Monaco was an attacking 4-5-1 and it felt like I played a lot more through the middle on that one.

The other nice thing to see, although currently greyed out, is the team class filter. I hope that is going to be a thing through all online modes. I only really played MyClub last year online so it wasn't much of a problem but if I got into the divisions thing that would be a great filter to have.

Overall, I really like what I have played. Going to give offline a go later on when I get time but the online felt responsive and really nice to play. It also helped that it looked glorious even on my bog standard PS4 and HD Ready tv.. Will be looking forward to when I get chance to upgrade later in the year to PS4 Pro and a 4k TV!

First game online. No lag. Played like offline. Great game. Appreciated the longer length. Won 3 0. Appreciate the way you can control tempo. Again just my initial impression.

Yeah, but say this occurs in the 90th minute. In a five minute match, the final whistle will blow. You might not even have time to notice it. Even if it happens in the 80th minute, you might find yourself thinking "is that the new fatigue kicking in, or is it just the same thing that happens when you're out of stamina previou-oh there's the final whistle". It's unfortunate. But understandable.

Er. :BORED:

This is where I'll be accused of not having a sense of humour, but... Come on...

I'm disappointed. The low rated teams still play with unrealistic quick and precise passes at Superstar level exactly like they did with Pes 2018. Using Barcelona against Colo Colo i repeated many times the match and i always felt like i was playing against a cheated team. And this is exhibition mode, can't even imagine how scripted and cheated these low rated teams will be in Master League.

I like the slower gameplay, like the fact it seems catchup bug has been toned down (i think it's still there though), passing feels the same tome.

The fact that low rated teams are unrealistically difficult though really disappointed me and unless they make some improvements about that in release code i definitely will wait for a deep discount.

Anyone else feeling this way about unrealistic CPU teams or it's just me?

Looking forward to your opinions Hulk. PC with all the mods to come should be good.

Thanks Daniel, it hasn't been in the game since PES 2014. Before that you could view a goal from any angle & height and it's a basic replay camera function that I believe is constantly overlooked and needs to be put back in. On the auto replays the camera zooms out quite far, so I'm stumped to know why the manual replay doesn't have the function. Goal of The Month competitions would be so much better with it added.

PA1 is definitely more free than 2018 but that's more down to the power rather than direction. I've also seen blind passes go to the opposition or out for a throw etc, which again is good to see.

Lmao. God, I hate stupid celebrations like these too. But I remember a couple years back PES had Totti doing the selfie celebration and people seemed to love it,it was like the highlight of the trailer. so it doesn't surprise me at all to see more like this
