I can’t help it but I love the demo.

Managed to get a good hour with this demo today and....I’m out. It’s not for me. I just can’t enjoy Pes anymore.
I don’t want to fill the board with negavtity so I’ll leave it as to all those who enjoy it I’m pleased you have a Pes to enjoy.
Me, I won’t be buying full game for 3rd year running.
I’ll still enjoy reading your thoughts and comments .
See you in the other game forum.

How easy people change around here!

Immediate matchmaking makes the demo so much better than the actual game. And the opponents I'm coming up against are playing proper football.

I now see that the variety of modes and spread of player base across different assist settings killed PES for me.

I cannot unsee this.

Eye-opening demo. Would love it if they supported it for online play for months to come. Could easily play this for the next year.

And I'm sitting here with a way worse experience than the PES2018 full game. Matchmaking takes ages at all matchmaking levels. Its always a delayed game too. Like 40% is lagless were in PES2018 90% was lagless to me. This is on PC btw, they might have changed something because PES2019 demo on PS4 was a better online experience for me.

PES on -1 forever! :)
I've been trying slower speeds but it just ends up a slog. I think it was Philla who posted 2 videos a real life one and his at -2 and while the player movement was similar the real life game the players were zipping the ball about while the PES passing was extremely slooooooooow

What we need is -1 player movement but ball speed of default setting.

Nah, its very, very simple.

There are 4 basic playing styles in defence

Frontline Pressure Aggressive: Barr backline defence all players close down opposition to win ball back asap. (Pep's Man City/Jurgen Klopp Liverpool)

Frontline Pressure Conservative: Defence cuts passing lanes and midfield/forward players tackle from behind (Tite's Brazil)

All Out defence Aggressive: All players run back to their half when losing the ball and chase opposition team out of your half.

All Out defence Conservative: All players run back to their half when losing the ball and Defend deep with focus all on positioning and compress the space cutting off passing lanes.

The other values are simple adjustments to your philosophy, formation (vital) and how your opponent attacks. Defensive line plays a huge difference for frontline pressure, but far less of a difference for all out defence.

Klashman69, it might be there but I might have missed it, what do you think of the demo so far?

Yeah I know. I do it every year haha.
I’ve gone away and played with the tactics and gone a bit deeper.
It’s plays a really enjoyable game.
Maybe cos I’ve not played the last 2 PES’s I really enjoy this.

I play PES since ISS PRO 98. I'm playing the demo vs AI, PA 0 and basic shooting.

Things I find perfect:
- Pace
- Nets
- Turf
- Ball physics

I think Konami should focus in the future in other areas since this things are perfect.

The most important for me is the difficulty. The game on Professional is very challenging. Results are 0 - 0, 1 - 0.

I enjoy defending this year. You can close the passing lanes, select your players and focus on mantain the defensive formation closing spaces and try to win the ball when you are near the opponent. It's beautiful and varied to do these all things at the same time.

I hope the final gameplay is like the demo. I always support PES. Is very difficult to compete with FIFA and I always fear that in very few years maybe we only have one football game.

I’m sorry but this is not acceptable for 5 years in a row, top player vs Loris who is apparently an offensive goalkeeper, even on ps2 days they were programmed to not do fuck all, horrible and they aren’t getting my money it’s a game breaker

How come the community isn’t shouting about this? I can just about only forgive the near post cheap cross goals but this? You need to hold Konami to higher standards, it’s not acceptable for an inexperienced publisher , I don’t even care if they sprint towards the ball aimlessly at least it’s something

Come on people it’s your money that they want but you have a voice

I've been really struggling to even find games over the last 4-5 days. Constantly getting 'Unable to connect to opponent' 9 outta 10 searches.
Been searching mostly on lvl4/similar, but trying every combination now lol.
Lvl5 is suppose to find the best, but it's actually given me the worst connections.

When I do find matches they're very hit and miss with lag:(
Game plays well when the connection gives me responsive input. Really enjoy skooling Barca's, Liverpool's and France using Colo & Sao Paulo
But damn, even with a hint of lag, heavy players etc, it's a horrible experience.

I play a metric ton of online games, but Pes is the only game I ever have trouble with ffs. :BRICK:

Set no restrictions to all - worst that happens is your opponent will d/c during the first half. And i noticed if opponent is a rage noob and disconnect on purpose(or uses funky magic) unable to connect does not stop, so just go to main screen and back into online.

Trying online for lolz, it is ok hit and miss - very good when vs good players.

First time this new stange backheel animation works for me (most of the times not)

.. I think more of a lucky touch... but congrats on the goal. Looks Grand!!
Yeah ive had this great animation quite a few times now.. looks fantastic, but more importantly it serves a purpose.. contexual. Its surely from a misplaced pass that was too hard for your teammate to control/behind the player so to speak (love how Konami are finally incorporating bad touches due to bad passing - needs way more of this though). Yours just happened to ricochet perfectly to an incoming teammate...
My experience with it has never worked out so well for me Lol. Oh by the way, im guessing this happens way more on FULL MANUAL passing.. as they go more astray.

eg.

Now, if only Konami start incorporating bad touches when you literally blast the ball point blank at a teammate from lets say 5m away (currently, your teammate will still perfectly control the ball). But I have to say, they are at least improving.. definitely more bad touches in this pes, than any other version...

...played Winning Eleveb 2019 demo yesterday (purchased from psn jp store) for 3 or so hours. Is it any different to the pes2019??? Felt like it hahah nah surely placebooooooooal!!!

I'm seeing a lot of this animation and it's starting to give me a sore eyes.

Yes, this is a bad touch(because I'm not trying to pass or shoot) but why does he extend his foot?
On defense, this happens too but extending your foot works because the defender is trying to intercept the pass. When defenders not trying to intercept the pass, doesn't look believable.
I think we need a lot of variation of this animation, it looks unnatural most of the time.

Another thing on touches, sometimes when I misplaced a strong pass that goes directly to the defender's back(defender not looking at the ball), most of the time it "sticks to them"(bounce a little, but still gets full control of the ball) like they have a 999 ball control.

ive Had the keeper come off the line a few times but not nearly enough.
There’s been times when I’m through and I think surely the keepers gonna move and he don’t.
That needs fixing.

I don’t mind the AI making poor decisions as I’m awful at pes at the moment.

Another little thing - collisions. Anyone collided and come away with the ball? Nope, me either!

I think it happens when the ball is played behind the run (his movement direction). But they've only designed this one animation, there's no other variations, so if you see it a few times, it becomes less and less immersive lol.

I don't mind the errors, but I want it to feel organic, not repetitive..

Yes, errors like these are fine when it look organic/believable/unscripted.:)

The AI keeper will come off his line if the ball is free , example a though ball that the striker hasn't collected..in my experience on a 1 on 1 with ball at feet keeper never comes.

I've pre ordered the game and I'm playing it every spare minute I have but and it's a big but ..these two issues need to be sorted for me otherwise it will be sold and I'll go to FIFA

1 AI attacking shoot decisions are just insane

2 GK rooted to the line on 1 on 1s
Single player will be dead after a month if this isn't fixed
these same thing are spoiling an otherwise extreme good demo for me

may i ask what camera settings and speed you play with ... I want to try these

Pitch side custom
7 zoom
2 height
10 angle

Even though I was brought up on sensi soccer and kick off series I always preferred Emlyn Hughes camera ;)

To be honest, I didn't expect anything good from Konami this year and I even decided to forget about PES franchise once and for all, and leave only ps2 era nostalgia in my heart and mind.

Since the demo was available on PC this time, I tried that anyway, and what a surprise. I can't believe it has at least a bit of that ps2 era magic. Why it took them like 12 years, I dunno, if that would've been sort of first next gen title at that time, we would've been at another level nowadays. It's so sad that it is so many lost years, but at least better late than never. Funny thing is that, once they finally did the job right, they are going to build new engine again, from ground up, which is most likely for next gen 2020? Does that mean another 10 wasted years before they make something good again? Hopefully not.

Moving back to the demo, I just love the ball physics (best ever I've seen I think), the collisions, animations, graphic is also outstanding. If they would've advertised the game, that the ball is a separate entity this year with some gimmick super mojo headline, it would be the first time it really meant something. I'm sure you all have the same feeling, that the ball as a separate entity is on another level in demo and it looks like it is really a separate entity.

If the retail version will be more or less the same as demo, I will buy PES this year, which will be my biggest surprise this year. If you would asked me a question, whether I will buy PES this year, two months ago, I would just laugh and say you probably lots your f... mind :)

Having that said, here's some example of goal scored like 30 minutes ago. I wouldn't expect such lifelike goal to happen, I was stunned and the ball physic is really spot on.

Did Konami fall out with Messi? I cannot understand why they have made him so crap. He's barely any better than Jordan Henderson. Saurez is way better. Also at times i feel as if im playing Fifa 08 with how the players turn like tanks and are unresponsive.

Dont know if im getting demo fatigue but the game is getting worse by the day for me so much so im very close to cancelling me pre order.
