PES 2018 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

here is my last game i just played highlights.. i would of captured more but i'm tired and going to bed.. CPU ended with 3 fouls 10 minutes legend.

@steveee Well I'm not getting fouls. Playing 15 minutes matches on Legendary difficulty as well. I tried forcing situations in which the AI would have to foul me like waiting for the defender, turning, shielding, slowing down the pace. Not happening. I even started wondering if I had the patch installed, but the rest seems to be there (stadium, faces, etc).

Other than that, game seems to flow even better than it did. Could be placebo effect but I dare say it even feels more responsive.

With the new patch, did they finally fix so that stats do actually matter and bad teams aren't as good as the best teams? If not, then I will have to wait for PES 2019. :(

played a few more games, feels alot tighter, need to work the ball around alot more which is welcoming, havent come across any cheap goals either, seems like they have improved positioning in this patch, after a dozen games, still minimal fouls and long high ball AI tactic still present.

That's sad to hear. One of my biggest concern was the AI always spamming through balls to wings, no matter what team you play against. The game became boring and repetetive really fast because of this. This wasn't an issue in previous PES, so how hard can it be to fix??

Eddie Gray was one of the greatest players I ever saw, If not for injuries who knows just how great he would have been, Better than George Best? I would say yes for sure. Don Revie even said the same thing. Fantastic player, thanks for posting the video mate.

Elvis I didn't post the vid. . that was Superleeds but I agree with your sentiment.

Played the game again. Got hammered by Crystal Palace 5-0 playing in Superstar and ended up beating Real Madrid with Manchester City. RIP stats.

Haha, Konami! I have been hoping for the Brazilian league to get some more players after the DLC but of course we get less! :D All of Sao Paulos real players is wiped out, Fluminense as well. Just give up on the league if you can't get the player licenses...

About new kits, not new Germany, Spain, Argentina, Italy, Belgium, Wales, Slovakia, Marseille (sponsor) even the Japan !!

Just Czech Republic :CONF:

Expect this answer; "kits will be updated with the next DLC which will be available sometime in 2018! Stay tuned to officialpes.com for more exiting updates".

Played 2 games in my Ml this morning .. first impressions the game feels slightly slower and players feel heavier. . .it's not as frantic, seems to be a slower build up in attack from the A.I. . .back heels were to a minimum and most passes were along the ground . .not many fouls as in none committed which is better than fouls not being called . ..I found the AI defense very hard to break down and even holding the ball in midfield is difficult. . I was well beaten in the second match. . it was enjoyable and promoted a more methodical approach in attack to break the defense down . ..I'll play again later today and probably say the opposite to what I've said here. I hope no fouls being committed isn't Konami's answer to the fouls situation.

Played 4 games. 2 friendlies 2 cups ones. Still zero, fucking fouls. Is this some kind of twisted joke? Do the real gameplay patch comes out later? Because if that's their way to solve the fouls issue after two months of promises, they are either incompetent and clueless beyond repair or they think users are literally stupid.

While I can kinda accept and come to terms with an incomplete game, I don't like being fooled.

.

unfortunately not , this is main issue that keeps me away from playing more than one match. Good thing is that patch improved ai deffenders and now they are more agressive.

Played 3 matches and 0 fouls.
Player switching feels a bit improved.
Disappointed so far. Oh, and no Exterior View for Emirates Stadium...

Yeah, CPU fouls are just a tiny bit increased, but the fouling system itself feels overhauled - it so much easier to make an double press X foul or tackle using players momentum, when you need to break a counter attack for example, so it'll be so much fun in PVP. So fouling system is pretty much good now, they just have to adapt AI to it.

Responsiveness of switching is almost perfect. Now players adequately react to deflections and finally hit one-time shots when you want them to hit it.

When Konami announced they were working on a fix to solve the lack of fouls, I guess some of us were expecting the AI to be more aggressive at getting the ball back under certain circumstances and have a little less of that 'perfect timing' when tackling. What they did was actually improve the foul calling WHEN AN ACTUAL FOUL HAS BEEN COMMITED! But that doesn't mean there will be more fouls per match. It means that IF and WHEN a foul has been made, it will be blown by the ref.

Nah not having it played a game there and got bundled into as usual with no foul.

The game on my xbox one x looks really nice though and the cursor change has definitely been improved.

There's already loads of differing opinions in here

The PES heads will be like 'it's slower, it's heavier - game is amazing!'

FIFA heads will be like 'still no fouls, game is super fast now!'

Guess I will have to wait until I am home from holiday to find out the reality.

Do you guys know if the patch is working in a existing Master League save?

Just tried one game i exhibition mode. I feel a different AI and also a more balanced game at the middle. Player switching is fixed.

More testing later in Master League i guess.
