The latest video's really makes me want to play the game. After skipping 2016 I am now rather excited again by 2017. It looks more refined and balanced, the 'anything can happen feeling' is, by the look of it, not overshadowed by the 'why bother playing a realistic game of footy if i could just dribble, cut inside and shoot'.
I think for people who liked, despite it shortcomings, the direction of 2014 and 2015, last years installment was a dissapointment. To me it felt like a step backwards where I expected things to finally fall together after a few promosing but sloppy years.
At the same time i was allready hooked by FIFA16, a game which, when you get to grips with it, has more depth then some seem to believe. Building up a play feels much like it is on the pitch, you really have to work hard and concentrate, every pass counts. Same goes for defending. Not everything clicked with me but still, coming from FIFA and then trying the 2016 demo.. It felt fast and cheap.
I can really appreciate the merits of both games, i might even buy 2016 this weekend and check out the latest patch people are talking about. Havent played FIFA for a while now, making the transition much easier.
Anyone should just play wathever suits him. FIFA might be to slow and unresponsive for your taste, PES might be to fast, for the other guy it might be a breath of fresh air.
You create your own experience. It makes all the difference where you are coming from and what you look for in a game at a certain moment in your life. Lets respect eachother differences but by all means, keep discussing, educating and convicing eachother. I have been lurking this thread a lot lately, read about everything and really enjoyed so. My friends arent a passioniate about footy games as me and you lot really make up for this. Thank you.
