PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

This game's gonna look so bautiful with a lil' SweetFX Tweaking...

Just a 60 seconds job in Photoshop. I know just the setting I'm gonna need to use for my first gfx tweak.

By the way! When you see videos like the one I'm posting below, you actually feel JOY. Or... may I speak just for myself: I actually feel joy.

There are some amazing moves and moments in this one. Like two epic nutmegs from Messi (yeahh, I'm still upset about how they've portayed him into the game, to me he doesn't move or feel like Messi, but I've already ramped about it a few pages ago so let's leave it at that), and an amazing goal from a low shot from far away outside the box which felt completely right.

Take a look for yourselves:

One more thing (sorry for posting 3 times in a row, I'm just catching up on old posts I hadn't seen). That 'Full Auto Level 1' video looks great. The pace is absolutely PERFECT. As it was on the other match played under rainy conditions posted a week ago. It seems rainy matches get the best out of this game in terms of pace and also animations. Somehow the forced slow-down game play affects animations in a great way. Everything looks and feels smoother and better timed, at least when watching videos. My favourite two gameplay videos so far.

Hope we can tweak the gameplay to get that same effect on sunny days/clear night matches. I'm sure some of the masters of the community will manage to do that, for the PC anyways.

btw

I want to know if there is a mod that makes you increase shot power for pes 2016, like gameplay tool for pes 13, is there gameplay tool for pes 16 ?

yes there are people like this in the same universe

:BRMM:

I knew that video would result in "Omg it's so easy to score" TTB said more than once it's a goal video didn't mean it's easy or keepers are weak.

But yeah we see what we want to see.

The latest video's really makes me want to play the game. After skipping 2016 I am now rather excited again by 2017. It looks more refined and balanced, the 'anything can happen feeling' is, by the look of it, not overshadowed by the 'why bother playing a realistic game of footy if i could just dribble, cut inside and shoot'.

I think for people who liked, despite it shortcomings, the direction of 2014 and 2015, last years installment was a dissapointment. To me it felt like a step backwards where I expected things to finally fall together after a few promosing but sloppy years.

At the same time i was allready hooked by FIFA16, a game which, when you get to grips with it, has more depth then some seem to believe. Building up a play feels much like it is on the pitch, you really have to work hard and concentrate, every pass counts. Same goes for defending. Not everything clicked with me but still, coming from FIFA and then trying the 2016 demo.. It felt fast and cheap.

I can really appreciate the merits of both games, i might even buy 2016 this weekend and check out the latest patch people are talking about. Havent played FIFA for a while now, making the transition much easier.

Anyone should just play wathever suits him. FIFA might be to slow and unresponsive for your taste, PES might be to fast, for the other guy it might be a breath of fresh air.

You create your own experience. It makes all the difference where you are coming from and what you look for in a game at a certain moment in your life. Lets respect eachother differences but by all means, keep discussing, educating and convicing eachother. I have been lurking this thread a lot lately, read about everything and really enjoyed so. My friends arent a passioniate about footy games as me and you lot really make up for this. Thank you.

Right one is looking better

Seems like this year, I will be skipping FIFA 17 and getting PES 2017. I hope the gameplay in PC is the same in PS4 as I don't want to spend a lot of money to buy games in both platforms.

im with Chris Davies! +1000 great post!

PESV.

Try patched 16..you won't be disappointed,it's faster then the other game but how you describe your experience with both games is not too different then mine.

Don't let the pace of 16 put you off, there's a very deep game in 16.I don't concede many goals and the beauty is unlike the other game,I can play exactly how I want via tactics, without feeling my basic controls are overridden..

I don't think there is this huge sim/arcade devide between the two games because there both as deep and as complex as you want to play them..pes just has a deeper tactical layer but in playing assisted it's just too assisted.Much better game imo on unassisted, not so much laser guiding and repetition.

This.
Certainly the bit about creatief your own experience.
Post of the year IMO.

hey guys sorry for posting in the wrong thread but this seems most active here

how do you install option files on ps4 for pes 2016?

all the download links dont seem to be working for me

help would be appreciated..

Sorry bro, can't help as I play on the xboxone..I think from what I've read each file has to be loaded individually..

I am picking up a ps4 for pes17 as its been reported that kits and everything will be one file again like the PS3.

pop up an old PES Zee play it for a few hours and lets see the first 30 goals u scored. honestly

Come on gabe..myself and a lot of people have experiences on 16 that exceed the games had on the ps2..

There's a few things that need to be better but overall the experience now is light years ahead of those days.

No collisions physics, simpler times and the exploits and players that were boosted and unrealistic..

The individuality was better because it encompassed the weaker players not just the superstars, but isn't that all about the layers and refinement that will come.

Being super comfortable with a game you've been playing for ten years. Those games were super responsive and everything was just rigid strait lines.

Well said mate, great post.

With those long range shots, I'm gonna wait and see what the accuracy is like from other players especially the lesser types, PES 16 didn't matter who u had you could even get your CB to score belters, which was a major turn off for me, as for the other game you had to earn your space to have a long range shot and when one did go in felt awesome.

The main things need pes needs to sort are the individualism and the fouls. The game looks like it needs to be much tighter.

During master league back in the day I used to buy certain players because it really mattered and if a free kick specialist or a playmaker was injured you'd be gutted because you knew it could influence the result. That's what pes was all about , great players standing out but not because of trick after trick but because of the pass accuracy or shot accuracy or speed. It just isn't there anymore ..people see goals flying in for all over the place by average players or ridiculous one touch passing and it's acceptable because the faces look good

you can not just install a complete (editited) OF from another user on ps4. you can just edit your own. to do that, you have to load every emblem or shirt design one by one into the game!

there is hoping that in PES2017 complete import of OF on ps4 is possible!
see here:
Share the teams and players you create with other users simply by transferring them via USB
Data sharing is multiregional, allowing European users to share with fans from the US or Asia

Edit improvements

Batch Import *Exclusive to PlayStation®4 system

Import all your edited kits and player data in one batch via USB. Select your team and apply the data you choose.
Edit Kit

Adjust how high you want to show the team name and squad number.
You can import even more images than before, now that you can change their resolution. (For example, you can change a 2048 x 2048 resolution image to 1024 x 1024, allowing you to add up to 1000 images for kits.)

You can make it as tight as you want it..changing defensive line alters the game massively then the default settings most teams have out of the box..

I wouldn't say players are overpowered or two accurate, keeper positioning at times in 16 doesn't help and the game is ridiculously easy on full assist.

My crosses don't find the man or do my passes in unassisted and I still feel that player attributes still influence the quality of my passes even in unassisted.

Alot of it is perception, one game feeling more solid out of box and the other requiring a degree of adjustment to get the experience you want.Thats how it's designed.

I see both sides because I've played both..and I'm of the opinion pes is better.

Like I've said before, the way the other game is geared there's no real difference between teams and the players always recover to quickly and the game is too efficient.Counters and quick breaks are more easily countered and I can't creat space like I can in pes..

You can't work the ball and suck teams out of position like you can in pes and the tactics offer so much variety.Passing in pes16 when you play unassisted is perfect..you place it and you have full control of direction and power.Otherwise everything is just too laser guided and perfect or joined up and there's no real error.

It's the quick goals you see in pes that's more realistic..it reflects reality and how simple mistakes are often easily punished.

I agree, miss the individualism of the PS2 days.

Yeah once those areas are sorted out then you can say PES is back.

Here we go again..pro Fifa posts by Fifa players in a pes thread.Unwilling to get past the assisted settings of pes or the realisation that a lot of what's wrong is down to people not judging the game in a completely assisted arena.

It's also about being quick in your mind not just thumb.

Hyper realistic presentation against deeper gameplay mechanics...sigh..

I'm just going to enjoy pes16 and 17 and maybe a bit of Fifa17..

Are let you guys fight it out and argue about things your just not willing to see.

Does any one know if in pes 2017 has any new stats like the physical contact for example?
any new at the gks?
anyone pleassseeeeee?!?!?!?!?!

yep that, and increased variations in shots/mistakes at goal...we need more variation. Cant remember the last game with that real 'pes' kinda variation... um pes2013 was amazing in this regard when I played it a few months ago.

What id like to see also, are more manually controlled shots, ie. being able to manually hit low shots (not just shooting manually using the pass or throughball button) by pressing triangle after shooting, particulary when doing low volleys n headers. Also would be great to be able to manually pull off acrobatic kicks, eg. bicycle kicks.. with higher risk of error.
W
Btw, anyone heard of the vibration feature from the demo players?? No one has mentioned it. Ive just seen the info from Pes official website. Im hoping vibrations are unlike fifa, where you feel them when you hit the woodwork.. how ridiculous... like a voodoo doll. We need some vibrations when actually kicking the ball.. light for passing, and greater vibration for hard hit shots, volleys, headers, and hard physical contact.... or atleast an option to customise what inputs cause vibrations... ill stop.. sounding like a horny old hag...
