PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

I installed the EPL teams from pesworld and got s league running with Leicester.
Fuchs is a fox, man! Love to whip some nice crosses in using him.
Still waiting on completing all the other leagues.
 
Hi, a long time player of Pes in all it incarnations from the Snes days and then Iss Pro on the Playstation, and a long time browser of this website. PES has been the only football game that i've played and leading up to the demo I couldn't see too many differences from 16, and when the demo i arrived my initial response was 'What the f@@k is different?' But then I delved into the tactic menus and altered the camera settings to suit my preference, and it became apparent that the game has improved so much from last year. I found default to be too fast and have opted for -1 speed but gameplay of the demo was good - it mimicked real football so well. The final version has so far been all i could have wished for; the ebb and flow of games is so charming, and combined with the tactic options there's so much depth; a real challenge. However i would say that although offline is a exceptional the lack of camera options has put me off online; combined with the fast default speed and i really hope that Konami can give us the camera options next year. The various option files make up for the lack of licences. Overall though very happy and if anyone wants a game my ps id is 'Villan2112', please add me although i'd prefer shareplay games.

I was a little bit worried when playing PES 2017 the first time - this was after inserting the first DFL files and some other edited leagues. I have read something about changed gameplay due to the kits. The matches were too hectic and the speed was faster than in the demo.
I deleted everything and tried it without any imports. For me the same result.
After that I have chenged speed to -1 and it is brilliant similar to the demo, but much better. And the best thing: for me the (in the meantime) re-imported teams don't change the gameplay :)

So I am enjoying the best PES since a decade on -1 with proper kits :)

Good to hear that the option files don't compromise gameplay. I've been playing as Italy in a European cup and I'm on my 4th attempt to beat Spain in the final playing on Professional difficulty. The beauty is that each of the 3 games vs Spain have felt different; once I hammered them and they battled back to score a late winner and the last game they built up a comfortable lead and never let me settle on the ball to try and come back. The player ID combined with tactics is exceptional imo.

They opened up with fast direct play I haven't experienced in a long time

Luckily I managed to win on penalties and save valuable player contracts and GP having to replay the tournament.

Also had 1 manual game online myclub divisions and the lag was a pain. Very hit and miss online atm hope it is sorted soon.

I had a rude awakening when playing one of the challenge tournaments last night. I've completed a few no problem (as the difficulty is rather low for the initial tournaments), but I lost 1-0 in the second round to a team on Regular difficulty. I rested my starting 11 and essentially fielded the default squad, bar 2-3 players. I thought I had it in the bag! "Christ, I need to bring in Ronaldo off the bench!" Sneaky bastards. :CONF:It was odd, felt like they were playing on Top Player. I have Almer as my keeper as well.

For me at the moment this is the best PES since PES5. Although I know it's early days yet. I really cannot see the non attacking AI that a few have mentioned. I'm sure we are playing different games ;)

I have to agree... the ai are attacking me relentlessly.

ML on top player is stressful... had to knock it right down to regular because wven on prof they were dicking me. However. Few signings that match my tactics and morale at about 70% and im doing better back on top player.

PESfan italia are releasing serieb kits soon and those guys make incredible kits i will post a link when its released

Also adam asim and officialpes are ignoring stadium edit bug tweets ill bet the feature was removed for cpu teams due to memory issues or something

Yes, we can freely choose a side with controller 2, 3 and 4, but we can not set a controller to the middle. Meaning: if two user controller teams play each other in a cup of league, they have to be played by human players, so you can not play all the teams in a league/cup by yourself.
 
Does anyone know if playing styles and, more importantly, individual stats can be changed in one big option file like the good old days and then shared with everyone? I'm wondering if there's a way to encourage the AI to avoid having the ball taken off them so easily.

Thanks Saintric that was weird I just came from their site now . . .I used their option files last year and they were brilliant very detailed.
 
Can anyone please tell me why I haven't got the latest transfers in league mode after applying an option file to update kits etc? I choose Arsenal but there's no Mustafi, Perez, Xhaka etc. It's doing my head in because I can't work it out.

Be good if they could at least give us a response about this stadium bug, such a great game I'm loving the ML so far with Ajax. Just need away games at different stadiums to feel unique to add variety. Nitpicking really but if the feature is there you want it to work correctly!

Edit: the transfers are there in the edit section, but when I start a league it's as if the update hasn't taken hold.

You have to Apply Live Update. You can see it in the main menu.
