Of course when I say "official video from konami", of course I expect a quality one.

No doubt Konami were amatuer when they showed a teaser of Pes 2015 for the first time, but that was not because the game looked bad, it was because the edition skills, background song, video longivity, the mix of scenes, everything was amatuer.

Thats not the case here. Now they can easily make a very good trailer as we've been seeimg lately. Their excuse is because the game itself is not yet at the level they want it to be, and not because they are not ready of makimg a quality trailer.

For a Company that can invest millions on a game, Im sure they can produce a good trailer, and its not something that takes too much time.

We're talking about E3 for God's sake,'its like the world cup of videogames when it comes to marketing/publishment.

Frostbite is a quality engine which hopefully will see the animation level stepped up, i'm hopefully we ill see 3D kits from EA this year and advancement in physicality.

I hate Konami because I remind people of the bullshit they've pulled and continue to pull? OK.

Actually, yeah. I hate Konami. They've taken every franchise they were known for, trashed it to hell and back and are slowly turning them into pachinko machines.

you would hate EA as well cos they were like that for 14 years or more , only fifa 16 is an awesome game, the rest honestly were shit.

The best part of being completely out of the race is that PES is a niche game for a niche market, meaning while FIFA can take a few hardcore PES guys away. Those that endured PES 2014, 2015 and 2016 will most likely get 2017 regardless.

I am still "scared" of the gameplay fundamentals showing up as features though.
 
People getting worked up over a teaser. C'mon. It is what it is.

They could both release hollywood-like teasers and trailers and gameplay still sucks. Why do people care about these is beyond me.

There is no point carrying round all this hate, i think its best you move on and forget about Konami if you hate them now so much, i mean we are all disappointed with more than a few of the recent PES titles, and 2016 aswell.

but we don't constantly moan about Konami everytime we post. You really sound like you need to move on from football gaming or just play FIFA.

Nobody can even have a straight conversation with you, its just hate, hate and troll Konami.

No man should live with so much hate all the time.
 
Realistically they need to just show,it if people like it great if not buy FIFA. Both got my interest for different reasons . Believe a lot of my,issues with keepers have been fixed . But the frostbite engine could be a game changer literally. I want new gampleay totally different to what we ve had with both for the last 7 years.

EA are not going to leave a trailer when that new engine is running its biggest sports title. They will show gameplay I think or comparison videos highlighting lighting etc and with Mourinho possibly proper managers on the side lines. We ll see

You're perfectly entitled to hate companies (although if you think about it, it's rather useless negative energy, nobody at Konami will loose sleep over your hatred), but i'm not so sure if it's ok to annoy other people with it.

You don't like PES...that's ok with me. I can even see some of your points.
You prefer FIFA, well sometimes i do too (but then again mostly i prefer PES with all it's very obvious shortcomings and the peculiar way Konami treats it's customers).


What i don't understand is why you keep annoying other people...you hardly use arguments...

There is this other guy too, he's Turkish...every single year he's in here annoying with his hatred for PES...

To put it blunt, and i really don't mean any offense: go play FIFA, discuss FIFA, but leave us alone...

Come to think of it, isn't it possible to begin an hatred thread for these people, then they cam entertain themselves with there irrational hatred. I come here to read news and sometimes to follow discussions, but posts like this hardly add anything to discussions...these people shouldn't necessarily be banned, but give them a separate thread and i'm not meaning people who criticize Konami with real arguments...but only these haters who annoy other people.

Frostbite here, FOX engine there...the result matters, we all know that.

I´m a bit curious about PES and a little more about FIFA.
Coming on a new engine is always something special.

What I just don´t get is, why Adam always has to go on EA with his unfunny tweets.
That´s another thing, along their bad PR in the recent years which makes them look unprofessional.
 
The fundametal is gameplay in this moment. KONAMI have superb engine. It's mix FOX and Havok. Don't worry. Im sure that technically this two engines can for sure be on the same level like forsbite. Look at my sig. Four years ago i saw potecial with KONAMI engine. It was clear for me that FOX is much better than Ignite and its a reason why EA change it. Thet knew that Ignite is engine used since FIFA 12. Konami should't make it because they have good one. In this moment is different situation like 5-6 yeras ago, becasue Konami i that time didn't have good engine. In my opinion Pes 2017 can be better game. They use this engine in develop since Pes 2014 and they have experiance with this engine. If they make really good gameplay and use 70% technically power of Fox and Havok Ea with forsbite doesnt smash Pes 2017 for sure. In my opinion KONAMI is in better position than EA with forsbite.

well, the testers said PES is looking a lot better this year.
this is why EA is bringing out frostbite 3 tech they sensed momentum shifting.

The fox engine IS a great engine, no doubt.
It always depends what the devs make out of it.
Havok is great, I loved CS Source and Half Life 2 with it´s physics.

But then you see the ball physics on passing, which looks like a bowling ball on ice and which we see for two years now, as it was better in PES 2014.
Ball passing physics look better on Ignite either.

No doubt that there is a big potential within the FOX engine.
But does KONAMI have the power to make completely use of it?

And what is that engine worth, when the ref never calls a foul, cpu always shots in the low corner and the keeper falls down like a sack of rice.

They say that this is sorted out on PES 2017.
Let´s wait and see...if KONAMI is gonna suprises me with a great gameplay, which is unpredictable and exciting and makes me bump my fist when I score, then I´m all happy!

And yeah, maybe this the case that they learn by doing and grow knowledge how to handle the FOX engine and need time for this.

Hopefully they show improvement on this with PES 2017.

Well, I tried that a few years ago and they didn't like it. They probably felt so lonely :P

I do get the frustrations though. Almost a decade of waiting for people waiting since PES5/6. But I also believe it's not worth beating yourself over it. Life is more than this. Look at it differently now. If the game's good, then hurrah. If not, better off forget about it and go for whatever gives you enjoyment. Be it Fifa, eating hotdogs, dancing in the rain..
 
I wanted to post it but nothing new or relevant in there regarding the game other than its "fun" and "everyone will love it" (yet again a big nothing)
 
I have to say that I absolutely understand your points of view, I don't feel I have anything to contribute positively unless Konami show me a next-gen PES game. So if they do, I'll endeavor to post again and look forward to the demo. If they don't, I'm not going to continually come back and shit on your parades.
 
Imo, the early build of Pes 2014, from what I've seen in videos, is not only above any Pes game on the technical aspect (animations/physics), but even above anything EA ever produced.

Sure Fifa has a lot more animations variety, but there are awkward moves as well.

Pes 2014 surpass any other football game ever produced when it come to the feeling of controlling players (that is, physics aspects of players motion like weight, inertia, footplanting) and also the visual (that is, animations), despite lacking variety. Also, ball physics, at least when ir comes to passing, was as organic as it can be.

Pes 2014 is the evidence that Konami can make a game with realistic animations and nice physics, it shows much better the potential of Fox Engine than Pes 2015/Pes2016 imo, but unfortunetly Pes 2014 failed on delievring the fun aspect of the game.

We would have a fantastic game if Pes 2013 and Pes 2014 collided, that is: a game that has the technical
Level of Pes 2014 but more variety in animations and the gameplay polishment (Ai, almost bug free, tatics etc) of Pes 2013.

If that happened wth Pes 2017, wich I doubt, Konami wouldnt have to worry a bit about frostbite imho.
 
I agree with you Dudu but they scrapped the whole project to give us . .. .Pes 2015, they couldn't have made a bigger mess of things searching for the past. ..the new Pes 5? ..give us a break.

Yeah mate.

I think that Pes 2014 was the REAL transition to Fox engine, but they screwd the all hard work they have done on animations/physics and dare I say even graphics.

Pes 2014 was far from being a classic, but it had the right vision and it had the technical level that Pes series needed.

Pes 14 had alot of good in it but it was just too badly finished it felt like they just gave up on it half way through and started into 2015. The whole thing felt like a demo and not the finished game. The masterleague felt like it would have taken them a day to setup
