ok.. i havent played a game yet.. crazy.. but I have just spent 30mins starting the game up first time, and applying all the option files etc.. got EPL kits done etc..
Bout to have my first game, after some coffee and champions league highlights on bein sports..but I briefly went into free training mode.. spent about 5 mins in it..WOW.. feels amazing... definitely without doubt the weight of the ball, and players have increased since the demo.. just feels so weighty. Weird, but its something ive always associated with pes games.. but its been missing of late.. im glad its back.. holy crap it feels so good to pass and shoot the ball around.. talk soon.

The first two things I change is applying my Pes 2016 Sweetfx settings and changing the turf to Pes 2016 turf.
 
does anyone know why diacritics have never included in the jersey font? Piqué's official name on his jersey is Piqué yet konami overlooks this. im feeding it back for 2018 but i aint holding my breath lol

Heh heh please don't say that. I'm sitting here with the window open and ive got to the point where im downloading FIFA demo but thats going to take about 3 hours.

I wouldnt mind so much but i havent seen the posty at all. Normally i will see him up the road but now im beginning to think he has gone sick. Maybe he opened it and is playing it.

I even checked online to see what 1st class delivery meant, whether it means next day delivery or not. :LOL: can you imagine a 42 year old man checking that.

Have you got yours Deco?

Lol what are we all like? I'm buying a physical copy tomorrow.. .stops all that stressing about deliverys .. .. hope you get it today buddy.
 
It's brilliant to see genuine excitement again. Admittedly the last couple of years I've not been around too much at release but i feel like there's a buzz this year that hasn't happened for a long time.

Still livid that I have a copy sitting at home that I can't touch until Fri :(

I think i will do that next time.

Hopefully it will come today. If i'm honest its probably a good thing if it doesnt because ive got things to get on with today ;)
 
Its been a grueling morning, tears, tantrums and ive drunk my weight in tea.

However its arrived and im watching the intro as I type... the kicker, well ive got to go out to get the Mrs from work. So the dust will settle a little before I can finally play.
 
I absolutely hate:

• The size of the shorts, mixed with;
• Half time animation for players heading to the tunnel (they look like they're doing a Monty Python walk)
• Turf colours
• All uppercase text for team and player names

But...

I am really, really enjoying the game. It is the first time I can genuinely say that since PES6. If my only complaints in a few weeks are restricted to the superficial issues I've listed above, I'll be a very happy man.
 
For those who say full game is not much different than the demo, are u playing a digital copy or CD? I have the digital copy and the game pace and passing are noticeably faster then the demo. Full version is still fun but feels different. I believe there may have been a quick update or something along with the download

Ah, the dreaded Day 1 update, a.k.a. The Online enabler?
 
after a few games.. holy shit this game is good... ill make it quick cos I wanna get back into it:
+Perfect pace, im playing default and its slower than the demo... just pefect
+Weight of players and ball have improved big time.. just feels so weight.. and solid... when you kick a ball it feels you've kicked it. I think it actually feels good to control the players and ping the ball around.. I was in free training mode for ages cause I loved it so much. I think Konami have complemented this (and enhanced this feeling somewhat) via the louder kicking sounds, and net sounds when you hit the back of the net.. really can hear it in training.
+Ref's fixed ;)
+AI fixed.. so much variation from each team that ive played, and I haven't tinkered with any tactic settings. Out of about 10 games, every game has been/felt so different
+Ive noticed that the shooting mistakes have definitely been improved.. ive skied heaps of long range efforts, as well as headers.. none of this, every shot is almost on target.. the misses are way more varied.. how awesome.. I didn't notice it in the demo, but this retail version has a definite increase in shot variation.
+Individuality is amazing.. I was Hazard.. and holy shit.. its just amazing to control this fella.. so different from the other players... and even his shooting power... players abilities seem to affect shooting...
+As with the above point, shooting is definitely not overpowered anymore as it was in pes14,15,16. Seems much more dependant on player (could be position and contextual as well)...

what else.... some negatives

- Turf colour is crap.. you guys are right.. I even changed the pitch pattern.. has little affect on colour. needs more green.
- .. can't think of anything other than, now its time (next year etc) to work on running animations and improving those. But seriously, as much as this was a concern with me in pes16, it just doesn't seem to bother me in this version. So much good here..
- oh one more.. although ball feels heavier, and physics of ball movement has definitely been improved, watered down even, the ball does stop too abruptly on the turf. A real ball will keep rolling... generally until it hits the side boards etc... but that's really picking on the unimportant...

fkn amazing game guys.... really is.. my settings:
PS4, Full manual, Superstar,Default speed, camera 0, 7, 10 and sometimes 2,4,10... on my 100" projector looks amazing.. and you actually have to use your peripheral vision.. as im sitting only 2meters from the screen.. cannot go back to a small 65" plasma hahahahah

yeah the pitches in 2016 look much better.
atleast for one year i'd like a game with improvements all over
 
Ok so i got my copy today.

Put it straight on PA0 Shot manual ect ect as i played the demo. Plus -1 speed...

Wow its slower than the demo for me. But feels weightier. Football feels good and i went straight into ML using the south american defults. It was damn tough... won the first game 1 nil then lost the next two... 2-1 and 2-1... the AI camped me back in my half for a whole half in one game.. the next game it was a bit more back and forth. The game i won i moved the ball around well and controlled it from deep.

So far massive improvements over last years... i have already had one massive pes 6 moment.... i was losing 2-1 it was 85th min and this looping ball from their header dropped to one of my lot and i shot first time it look led it had flew in top right corner i prematurely celebrated as it rippled down
the side netting. Emotion!
 
i've seen people playing online already in vids but how? when i tried last night i said the service was unavailable
