lol, yeah only been playing exhibition games tho, cause waiting for OF before starting an ML, then we will see if theres enough variety from the AI that can keep me playing past november, one thing im disappointed about is the my club competitions, to me theres not enough variety and the ones they do have are boring, the point system needs to be changed, i dont understand why they dont have a community mode online where people can create there own mini leagues using there my club teams, that for me would make me want to spend a lil bit of money on packs, dont know why they havent put much focus on that cause thats where the money is to be made. fifa on the other hand have got so many modes and they have enhanced it even further this year, hopefully 2018, but yeah buddy pes17 individuality is the best its ever been, looking forward to your posts.

Hey lami, I got my copy today from city_of_game an ebay store... pretty damn good.. the guy got it in yesterday as he told me he would, ie. Tues 13th, sent it express, and I got it today 3pm... still haven't played it though.. a few things to do before doing a mega session (which will include giving the fifa17 demo a go)... jeez.. so much running though my mind. But I reckon if you order through city_of_games (Melbourne based) and chose express you should get it by end of Friday.. but you'd have to order pretty soon ...
 
Hey Jimi, what op will you be using?? Anyone purchased and received their Pesuniverse ones yet??? I was thinking about getting theirs... but if its not out yet, may just download one of the op's that get the EPL kits right.. just to see how it all looks. ... in about 2 hours ill be playing this beast.. what a day!!!!

yeah i ended up getting pes universe, the bundesliga sold it for me, that league on its own was enough for me to pay 7 bux, looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
 
I saw lots of people on the PES Universe forums moaning about the USB not being delivered for another few weeks. I guess it's because the USB needs to be the completed file. It does look a bit sketchy though, none of them are getting responses from the staff.

I'll probably order the download version if I can get as much as a half complete file tomorrow in order to start a Master League. If I can't get it tomorrow i'll hold off and see what comes out first.

35 year old PES- fan here. ;) Glad to see I'm not the only old fart loving this series.

Really looking forward to Online Divisions with manual settings. I read somewhere the online filters is better this year, any truth to this? If it could connect me with other manual players for sure I would be over the moon! :) I'll gladly wait a couple of minutes for that (patience is one thing we old people have right...?;))

Ive ordered PESUniverse one - are you saying its been delayed? I haven't had any notification about it?

Its only a few quid but out of order they haven't said anything.

How do we know for sure its delayed

If anybody is still having issues with certain image snot showing up, I had similar issues where most but not all images on my usb stick were showing up and think I have found a solution.

Like somebody else said, if there are special characters in the name such as the ü in München then they won't show up, so change the file name in those cases.
Also if the file name is too long, they don't show up either - a lot of the stadium images I used were way too long.
I just renamed anything that was too long using Windows Explorer and made it much shorter name and they all appeared to import next time I tried in game.
Hopefully that helps some of you guys...

I think it has to be made through import / export team. At least it's what some people said. I don't have the game yet but as soon as get it I'll give it a try :)
 
Played it for an hour and a half this morning using an option file I found - PESHK I think (just updates the badges and kits, excluding lower leagues).

I played as Liverpool vs Everton on Superstar to test it out, in a kick-off game, and although I felt like it was a little bit too easy, Everton won 1-0. "Can't have been that easy then", I thought to myself. Very happy overall.

I played again as Blackburn vs Aston Villa to try out the lower leagues, hoping to feel a massive difference, and... I didn't, I have to be honest. Same pace, same dribbling skills on display. Still a great game but I was playing with a much worse team than Liverpool and it didn't really feel like it. That one finished 0-0.

However...

Then I moved into the Master League (as Wigan - again, a second-tier side), just to try a few games and see if there was a difference, and... Boy oh boy. On Superstar, Fulham smashed me 3-0. They were absolutely clinical - it didn't feel "cheaty", but it did feel like they were just a little bit too psychic. I might have to reduce it to Top Player, which seems to be really well balanced (I managed three-quarters of a game on that before I had to leave for work, I was losing 2-0 but it felt like they were having to "think" more about what they were doing as opposed to going bananas with the first-time passes).

I don't think the gameplay is any different from the demo, by the way - I think there's a bit of variety in the game and that makes it easy to jump to conclusions. But it doesn't need to be different from the demo... (Excluding the previously-discussed negatives, that don't bother me a great deal at the moment.)

The pace on default is just right for me, you get time on the ball and the animations look right. The fluidity is wonderful. I've had the AI concede a few free kicks in dangerous positions (and now I need to practice my free-kick skills). I've scored a deflection, that was a "proper" deflection (last year deflection goals were mostly because of silly control issues where e.g. your pass would bounce off your own defender and everyone's reaction times were so dull it would just roll in). I've used the on-the-fly tactics and forced teams to stretch themselves too thin. I've hit shots that would have been cheap long-range goals before and missed the mark (I've never been happier to miss the target). I've seen the keeper pull off an incredible reflex save, that looked just right, and desperately parry the ball into a safe area (not into a crowd of players).

Put it like this, I can't wait for my lunch hour.

(Something to note: The first time I tried to play a kick-off match, the game crashed with an error code, which was alarming - but after a console restart, it didn't happen again.)
 
Could it be worth getting somewhere to collect a list of option files in one place? I've seen lots popping up in this thread already that i'm worried I may not be able to find alter (basically, i'm too lazy to search).

Would be good to get EPL and a few other things up and running till we wait for something . Looks like there is plenty floating around already.

No Just the USB devices seem to be delayed due to delivery. The downloaded one will release on schedule.

I had the same error, it happened just after I imported a kit, i thought it could have been because of that. Obviously not

Ha, sorry! I didn't see them announcing Pro support. This is the first PES for a while where it feels like Konami are really trying...
 
What the hell I keep getting error codes with this - might have to return it to Shop-To looks like I have a dodgy copy?

Played 2 exhibition games on Superstar. Far too easy. Will give Master League a try later.

Not a dodgy copy, there's a few of us who've had the same thing. It generates an error code which you can forward to Sony, so I'm sure Konami will patch it once they've got enough reports together (Sony will make sure of that). Though, it sounds like you've made your mind up already, to be frank.
