had trouble with kits not showing while importing i opened them up on pc with gimp 2.0 and exported them under a differant name and now they import fine .. have no clue why but also had same with some badges

Will have my copy tomorrow but ultimately gutted about this, many of us on here flagged it up as a big concern but I never had much faith it would get sorted before release - very annoying as it's such an easy fix.

As a person who normally prefers the Demo version, this is encouraging - I'm hoping they haven't nerfed shot power too much as most adult males can skelp a ball fairly hard regardless of accuracy.

Yip, the contrast and saturation options in the game itself helped a bit with this kind of thing - another needlessly removed option by Konami.

Here's hoping, I will be DEVASTATED if retail is worse than the Demo ... I felt that was the case with 2016 and don't wish a repeat of things.

Indeed - If they can't improve on last years turf textures and colourings then at least leave them in - Don't make them worse which is exactly what they have done.

I hear what you are saying - but we shouldn't have to.

Every year it seems PES is the only game I play that I have to create a whole new radical set of TV settings for usually dropping brightness and contrast and artificially having to up the colour, every other game works with my usual calibrated settings.

Haha don't rub it in ;-) I miss the chipped PS2 days of adding in turf textures ... Good times never to return sadly.

he is either fucking with us, or just not a fan. I have played three matches and the full game is more responsive and less stumbling. Some dude on a italian team scored an upper 90 from left to right against me....
 
I saw a bit of the Barca v Celtic game on TV this morning as I was having breakfast and the pitch colour/lighting at the Nou Camp looked similar to PES. Maybe they got it accurate lol.

i agree with this, the day lighting isn't correct in pes, fifa has it right. i just watched the liverpool game and it was bright as hell players in the sun light. my samsung 65" led 3d tv is top notch so what i'm seeing is correct settings. the fox engine deserves better lighting.
 
Just got the game. I enjoyed the Demo and hated 2016. So far I have to say Im having a lot of fun with this release. Ive only played 5 games so far in exhibition. Pretty much seemed like the demo for me, I went straight ahead and changed the teams game plans per Matt's suggestion, Ive been having really enjoyable games.

For those looking for an option file, there was one posted a few days ago that contains the BIN files, it takes around 5min and automatically updates the BP, La Liga and the 2 teams from the Italian League (now looking for the national teams). Really easy, no need to go team by team. Ill try to find the post and link it in case anyone needs it.

Crossing fingers the AI doesn't cheap in ML (scripting). I do wish I had a bit more fouls. Ive had games where the AI only fouls me once. Although the keepers are much improved, some of the animations don't look organic at all. OK, back to gaming, one more game and then im off to wake the baby for a feeding.... wish I could play with one hand and hold the bottle with the other.....

Guys, we have spoken about this on many occasions. We are all getting old and as we get older our eyes start to fade. Remember the 'blurred' replays? Now it's the pitch colour.

Believe me next year it will be the muffled sound and don't be surprised if we start complaining about the controllers as our thumbs and fingers start to hurt.

Maybe newer versions of PES will have to include specs and a hearing aid. :P

the issue is a special character in the filename like ä ö ü ė ñ ô æ ú and so on. Just rename the files with characters from a - z and 0 - 9, then it will work properly ;)

Konami does not sponsor gimp or any other tool and there is no bullshit regarding the filename or resize issue. If you want to rename the files, do it with Windows Explorer and use the characters like i mentioned in the quote above. If you unnecessarily want to resize the kits before importing, use any capable tool and save the file as png or jpeg - but beware to name the file without any special characters ;)
 
Still undecided whether to import from UK or buy locally. In both cases I won't have the game til the 22nd.

Whoever's still waiting for the game a day or 2, count yourself lucky you don't live where I am ;)
 
played well over 30 games, and to me t does have that old PES feeling the more you play it, also have noticed that this years game the player skills actually work, well so far they do, have noticed that when a COM player has the Long ranger card, most of the time they are the ones that shoot high towards goal, which is good to see.
