No I haven't made my mind up already. But I've been burned by Konami on so many occassions over the last 4-5 years that I am extremely sceptical when it comes to PES now. I have bought every PES game (apart from 2008) and I don't believe good reviews because this game always gets good reviews.

I'll judge it for myself. So far, it's too easy. But you even said the same - I will try ML in a bit and hopefully it's more difficult like you have mentioned :)
 
I get my games delivered to where I work and spent all day yesterday hoping it would arrive before I went home as I am working from home today and tomorrow. I was gutted last night to see that I had missed an email yesterday telling me it was in the post room waiting for me. So I have to wait until Friday.

I have just seen someone calling themselves as old fart as they are in their 30s playing this game. I cannot be the only one in my 40s on here. I still play football a few times a week and it reminded me of coming of a pitch a few month ago and someone saying to me 'i'm too old for these type of games' and I asked him how old he was and he was only 28.

I had the same thing immediately after confirming the match preparation screen (having imported kits a minute beforehand).

Good to hear you ordered it Lami... i still cannot believe i have my physical copy and got it at 3pm..
ok.. i havent played a game yet.. crazy.. but I have just spent 30mins starting the game up first time, and applying all the option files etc.. got EPL kits done etc..
Bout to have my first game, after some coffee and champions league highlights on bein sports..but I briefly went into free training mode.. spent about 5 mins in it..WOW.. feels amazing... definitely without doubt the weight of the ball, and players have increased since the demo.. just feels so weighty. Weird, but its something ive always associated with pes games.. but its been missing of late.. im glad its back.. holy crap it feels so good to pass and shoot the ball around.. talk soon.

I know its not all about the graphics, but a good ball makes a big difference to me. Playing with the Champions League ball inspires me, more than some of the default balls.

Its actually one of the little things that can put me off playing in a certain league, as im sure the balls are locked to the leagues (or have been before).

Thats enough about balls... suns out, im sat inside, postman is probably sunbathing somewhere.
 
Well sad news...

It seems Adam Bhatti lied to us, once again...

Not only we CAN'T add kits to licensed teams, has he said on Twitter, but we also CAN'T import data over a licensed team unless it's from that same licensed team.

I really don't understand all these lies...
 
The ML games are more difficult! Which is a relief. I am liking this so far, it's not blowing me away though. Hopefully it's like PES 3 where it took me a good few days of intense gameplay to get into it.

I really don't like the visuals or sound effects though. As a complete package, it still feels like something from 2006 rather than 2016 which is pretty shocking given the techology which is available these days.

But it's all about the gameplay and I had fun in my last match. Drew 1-1, the CPU scored the same old goal they always score (low drilled shot from nowhere) but my goal felt nice and some of the midfield play was superb.

45 here mate, used to be on here all the time back in the glory days then like a lot of others went right off the game after pes 6

enjoyed the demo this year so decided to take a punt, got it yesterday and love it so far

Fair point, but it's not a back-of-the-box feature and it doesn't impact the gameplay. It's one of those times where I can see genuine room for misunderstanding based on what the devs have told him about import packages (the BIN files).

You are clearly a Fifa Fan, which is ok, but stating the visuals are outdated is a joke. Ok, some of the menus are not that stylish as in Fifa and there is less Broadcast style in presentation in pes, but that's it. It is all about what happens on the field, and sorry, but pes is ahead of Fifa. I played Fifa 17 Demo yesterday and a lot of the licensed faces are hilarious. And the whole field and the goals and nets look weird to me due to some weird shadows. The Stadium as a building might be nicer but I do not care too much. In the end it is like you said, it is about the gameplay and this time PES is clearly ahead of Fifa - finally again after a long, long period of time. You do prefer Fifa - it is ok, but repeating your negative critics over and over again does not make the critics right. PES has it's flaws, but most things you moan at, hardly anyone else experienced the same issues. Wait a couple of weeks and become happy with Fifa 17,while the most of us here enjoy PES 2017. ;)

From what I can see the from the videos the visuals don't look as good as 2016. I don't like the turf and I am not a fan of the moving add boards. If you look at turf patches that have been getting made for years, people prefer green pitches not washed out looking ones
 
For all those complaining that keepers don't come out of there line, you may need to go into edit mode and set certain keepers u know of that are ment to come off there and set there playing style to offensive goalkeepers, huge difference, first time the actual playing styles work, seriously this game continues to amaze me, I'm hooked, I just hope now ML is just as good.
