PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Forget it. Bhatti and Official pes don't reply to any questions on Twitter. I'm tired of asking several questions and never got a single reply :/
I thought I was the only one...

I finally realized they aren't interested in answering questions or taking suggestions. They have a marketing plan and their twitter accounts serve that sole purpose. If you tell them that you like their game, well then you perfectly fit in their marketing plan but if you have more serious questions or want to help them...different story.

Yeah I agree :/

When a player is fake in NT or some brasilian teams (remember blond hair fake Kaka), his appareance is "fake" too.
I think it's a matter of new right for non Fifpro players.
Poland have left Fifpro btw, but they can do correct stats (it's subjective) height and weight.

You not alone. I ask plenty off questions and don't get responses either.

Thanks for the Rashford answers :)

It's sick that people are treated like products, in this case football players. Shouldn't be a problem to use their faces, I guess they won't care anyway. F*cking money.

That's only some speedsters, it's not the real ranking. Bilbao is licensed? Sounds like players from licensed teams/with partnership...

oh, absolutely .. :BYE:

Rashford is spot on but can't be arsed with pics. Sorry.

Just played my first game. Lost 3-2 as PSG to Leverkusen. Both goals I scored from edge of the box, manual shooting zlatan and cavani.
I struggled on the demo for goals so pleasing.

In my opinion it is considerably better than the demo. So many little things. Feels tighter, more responsive, just brilliant. Really honestly, brilliant.

I'm not one to go overboard, like many I feel have on here about pes the last few years. They were crap and nothing like it was 10-13 years ago on ps2. Many will shake their head but many will know what I'm on about. This is finally, genuinely, different.

One game but enough to know. Gonna carry on and see how I feel after a few games but doubt it changes.

Has the sliding tackle distance been reduced ? Do players still froze when tackled ?

Got the full game today

An improvement to PES 2016 but needs a lot of work to be taken seriously IMHO.

Ive played BAL, ML and random games vs different CPU difficuly levels.

Issues so far:

- Toothless AI: It seems that they removed scripted goals but forgot to replace them with anything. You're just playing a possession game. I hope alterng ai tactics would fix that otherwise it's a write off tbh.

- Pitch dimensions: The pitch is crammed and it feels like an indoor soccer match. You only get space when you play a through ball to the wide players. The players feel like giants!

-Goal variety:The box is very small and most goals are scored around the penalty spot area. AI defends really deep all game which makes it tedious and repetitive.

- Fouls: No injuries spotted so far, And the presence of fouls seems like a scripted random late challenge by the AI once a game to give us the illusion that it's fixed.

-AI difficulty: On higher difficulty they just catch up with your runners regardless of stats, Also there's an obvious force that moves your player away from the ball and it looks embarrasing really. I'd be happy to show examples.

-Set pieces: Very basic penalties and free kicks, I've seen SNES games with better systems!

-Cameras: Ridiculously limited options at this day and age, The replay camera is too low and allthe match cameras are useless specially the broadcast one.

There are a lot of good things in the game but they're so minor and most of them should've been fixed two or three years ago.

This game may shine as a human v human experience but offline it's repetetive, lazy and disappointing tbh.

Assuming the retail version is the same as the demo, then I disagree with the majority of your points based on my hands on time with the game during these past few weeks. I've had fouls (could be increased ever so slightly, but it's much improved), I've had plenty of goal variety both from myself, and the CPU. Some stunning goals from the AI, in fact. I've witnessed quite a few dynamic goals! Deflection-loose-ball-how-did-that-even-happen, back heels, long rangers, headers, 1-2s etc. I love that they harass, and pressure you in and around the box. It's 100x better than being able to waltz right through the midfield a la 2016. And no, they're not impenetrable.

On higher difficulty they just catch up with your runners regardless of stats

I've seen a few people say this. A few. I really don't know what to tell you, but that hasn't been my experience at all. Whether it's down the wing, or a driving run through the center, I don't have much issue out pacing defenders with faster players.

They're not catching up to me here and this is on Top Player.

And this is some of the most fun I've had with offline in years, and that includes PES and FIFA.

I agree on the part concerning set pieces and camera angles.

Goal variety has been great for me. Just woken up and still remember all the goals I scored last night in the 6 or so games I played. All varied, one only near the penalty spot after a lovely little through ball.

I'm not good enough at dribbling to properly comment but no real issue. You can beat a man via change of pace.

Weather conditions change games a lot. Had a right battle when wet pitch with ball sticking.

Complete opposite to the demo! By the sounds of your (very critical) post they have destroyed it In between the demo and full release.

Silly comments IMO "the box is very small" "the pitch is crammed" "players feel like Giants" "you're playing a possession game" "SNES games with better systems"

So, with all of that, do you expect your contribution to be treated seriously? It sounds to me like you are not particularly good at the game so it is the games fault!!

Can I ask a question and a serious one. I’m not kidding when I ask, did you play the demo? Did you like it if you did?

They can change a few things from demo to final game, but pitch dimensions are not one of them. The pitch and penalty box in particular is very adequitly sized.

So either you never played the demo or played it and didn’t like it. Cos you seem quite surprised with the final result

I'm not particularly good, but feel it is significantly better than the demo.

Hi vondave, that's good to hear that it is better than the demo.
Can you please check for me if you are able to start a cup with all human opponents, but at the start of each match can one of the teams be selected as CPU? The reason I ask is because on the old PES games I used to play a cup but I would play every game and be different teams. But in the newer ones they stopped that option.

I hope that makes sense. No worries if you cannot try for me, I can test myself next week. :)

Not gonna bash you here, I respect everyone´s opinion and I would understand if this year´s game is not made for everyone.
Most of your points are total opposite to me, specially goal variety...I have to say it surprised me a lot.

Quoting the bold part: now way it´s repetetive, lazy (what- or whoever is lazy in this game) and disappointing and after two years skipping PES I´m very critical :P.

I remember you´ve been quite critical about the demo, haven´t you?
Then it´s no wonder if you don´t like the full game, unless they totally fucked it up..what I don´t believe, even it is KONAMI :P
