I can only comment on Top Player as I find it too hard on Superstar, but it is such a fantastic feeling to defend in this game. I just played 3 games as Althetico Madrid, against Arsenal, Barcelona, and Boca Juniors. All on full manual. Each game was different. I struggled against Arsenal and lost 1-0, against Barcelona I was 1-0 and it was just me defending throughout and trying to catch them on the break. They were getting many chances but my defenders were heroic. There were balls flying in, strikers jumping up and missing balls, eventually Suarez scored a spectacular equaliser.

Finally against Boca it was 0-0, only 4 shots each in total but it was a fantastic game. I've missed games like that from old PES5. There was one point when Boca played a long high ball into the corner, my defender was running to get the ball and suddenly their striker jumped straight into my defender and gave away the foul. I could just hear the commentator say "what a stupid free kick to give away, the defender was going nowhere." Excellent please keep this fouls in it Konami. Then in injury time I kicked a hopeful long ball up field, their defender passed back to their keeper, and with no pressure he kicked the ball but slipped over. I was hoping to knock the ball back in but the whistle went.

Really excited by this. I feel like a little kid again. Can't wait for the full game. I recorded two of the matches, will upload later and just pick point out the bits I mentioned. :)

Ok, so i'm not understanding something...

Adam Bhatti confirmed via twitter that we could add kits to licensed teams. Nice...so far.

But I just saw a live youtube video of a guy showing edit mode, and when he clicked on Barcelona strip, it said "Cannot edit this strip", and there was no option to add a 4th kit for example.

So, the question is...how the hell can we add kits to licensed teams as Adam Bhatti said? Any ideas on this?

You can't edit current kits, you can however add kits to them, like 3rd and 4th kits.

Yes, that's what I thought as well...

But like I said, when the guy clicked on Barcelona strip, it didn't have any option to add a 4th kit.

If it didn't have that option, how can we add them? Unless the option is somehow hiden or something.

That's what made me confuse...
 
I've seen the CPU do some celebrations that are outside the upper right list. For example, I've seen one that the player hi 5s his teammates after scoring, similar to a celebration that was in PES 2015, and they're more that escape my mind right now. I now there are different celebrations when approaching the flag, etc. Is it possible for us players to do those other celebrations?

Yes really loving it Deco. Going from PA1 to manual has improved my experienced so much.

It's funny because a couple of weeks ago I was getting a little frustrated trying to break teams down. I think it was because I was controlling a different team each time and playing against a different team each time. So I was never used to the team I was. Since I started playing again I've been Athletico a few times and now I'm used to how they play I'm getting into a good rhythm. This just shows me that formations and tactics (even though we cannot change them yet) make a difference.

Does anybody know if the option will be there to select any team, known as 'free sides select'? On the old PES' I used to start a cup with 32 human players but then select one as the CPU in each match and work my way through the cup. Recently they stopped that because of the 'points' system or something.
 
Warning: ai scores in the top corner yes, but "still" only with first time shots and headers.

In spite of the progress this year, there is still lack of variation. No over the bar shots, for example, still very much script for ai shooting.
 
I've just spent over an hour in an uber, and now got a 40 minute journey home. Will cost more than the game itself.

The things gamers do for certain titles.

But I have it :-)

This is one concern i still have. Yes the AI do try different things, but in the box they will go low to a corner.... the keepers are better at dealing with it, but sometimes you just want the AI to put his foot thru it.
Its not a dealbreaker but a niggle that sucks you out of the game

Impossible.

I have seen plenty of variation on goals and the AI missing chances that they always put away previously. I have seen low shots, high shots wide of the mark against the bar and all sorts.

Are you not maybe playing the 2016 demo?!

He probably has only played one game, conceded a goal in the bottom corner and presumed it was the same smh
 
I feel like this is the first time in ages people have talked about scouring their area/internet for a retailer in hopes that someone has broken the release date. At least with such anticipation.
 
I'm having a mess about whilst eating tea. :-) I won't have the prior knowledge like many on licenses already (did see the South American recent announcements) in etc but will mention stuff I consider interesting.

Juve and Sassuolo appear only Italian teams with fake names but real players.

On other European teams, there's 3 bundesliga teams with real names- Dortmund, Leverkusen, schalke.
 
Arsenal and Liverpool in the PL, Atletico and Barca in La liga only ones licensed.

No transfers at all done by the looks of it so need that day one update.
