PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Can someone confirm if injuries are still broken? Not a single injury for me or the CPU, and I've played over 100 matches in the demo. Can't be the same this year too. Makes no sense to play a full season without injuries.

If the situation with injuries hasn't changed much from PES 2016, it would mean that match-time injuries will be almost non-existent, but there should be plenty of scripted/random training injuries during seasons (the ones where the game simply informs you between two matches that the player X won't be available for Y weeks due to Z injury).

I have invested in the latest LG OLED 4K and the upscaling to 4K is stunning. I'll get some still pics over later. Anyone who is able to afford one of these sets should get one. The pixels turn off at black levels so they are pure black, honestly looks stunning!

Got one in April. Well worth the money

Jeez it's only a demo . . .they're one off matches. . .. do you think your 100 matches is a full season or something?

Agreed Deco, this is a stripped down one off version. There is quite a bit missing from the full game IMO. The point of the demo is to give us a flavour of the game, it is not the full game!!!

I had 9 injuries on my last ML season( in 30 games) probably 7 during games.
6 my first season.
So don't know where your info comes from

So? Since pes 2015 launched I've literally had ZERO injuries in ML. I've played a lot. Just can't ignore the fact that injuries are badly implemented in pes since then. Also, why even have the setting "injuries on/off" in the game settings menu if it doesn't mean anything? Sometimes a player get treatment, but that's all. You should be lucky that it obviously doesn't affect you. Injuries are a huge part of football. I'd be glad to have them in the game. I can't even force opponents to get injured by breaking their legs from behind a couple of hundred times.

Just to be 100% clear - did your players get injured while you were playing matches (as a direct result of being hacked by opposition) or were you informed about injuries between two matches, while progressing through the calender?
During my three ML seasons, I've seen zero of the former, while the latter were quite common, comparable to your count, if not even more of them.

It's obviously something the developers are struggling with. Back in the days we even had the medical team putting you on a stretcher.

Once again, have to preface this with how much fun I'm having with this game but a few things are holding me back from saying they're there this year...

-This game seems to think that every shoulder barge is not a foul. The game really misses some clear fouls where a player goes through another to get the ball and nothing gets called.

-This game really needs a shielding command like Fifa

-There also needs to be levels of sprinting. What I mean by that is in Fifa, you can change the control settings so that if you want to sprint about 75, 60, 90, etc. percent, you can depending on how strongly you press the sprint button. In pes there's really only a light jog, jog, and sprint. I'll catch myself trying to sprint with a player on the ball while changing speeds and all of the sudden the game reads that I'm tapping the sprint button twice and my player is pushing the ball way out in front.

-I have to say this again but every team is far too direct I don't know any other way to say this

Aside from that I give this game an A-
It's damn good

We'll find out in the full game . .. the demo doesn't even have the full tactics in it. . .it's just a taster. .. I'd like them in the game myself. . .. did you ask Adam and co. on twitter? , . .. . I'd be more worried if it didn't have injuries on/off, at least it proves that there are injuries but are they implemented in the way that we want? . .as in being stretchered off during a match and out for weeks/months . .. hope it's not going to be the new controversy like the no fouls situation.

It's good enough to keep my mind of the negatives. I'll probably survive without the injuries too. I mean, it's konami, so it's almost expected. Can't wait for the full game.

You can't play a game of football without fouls. That's a big gamebreaker. Injuries should just be there, but it's more acceptable with no injuries than no fouls. Like I said, I'll probably survive without them, but it's really bad if we don't get players injured in matches. I don't think it's a demo thing since it's been like that for 2 years now. Hopefully something that can be fixed with an update.

Scored this with Vietto against Arsenal (Superstar + Manual passing) Lost the first match 2-0 and made some tactical changes (as well as a couple of players) I love how different every game is.

Lovely goal are you on manual shooting as well? That Vietto is a decent player in the demo.

You have me worrying about no injuries now lol. Of course we need them in the game . ..the injuries in Ml last year where through training mainly .. .be nice to see the stretcher coming on. . .. sure the guys with the sponge who wash the injured players leg and shrug their shoulders aren't even in the demo.

Yupp,9 out of 7 were on the pitch, either inj but played on,or inj and out of that game.
All these were recently, after last dlc,so I had no problems with not getting inj.
They almost always happends when players were fatigue,so I learned to sub tired players before it could happend in important games, otherwise I'd had more inj.
So you don't need to worry about that for 17.
15 min games,all star

Thanks. Only manual pass, will practice the manual shooting when the full game comes out. Yeah Vietto is class! I had only just brought him on to replace Torres.

That must be it then ... I stopped playing my ML campaign before the last patch and DLC. Fingers crossed it stays in 2017 from the beginning.

I also stopped around November, had it on 360, bought a XB1 with FIFA on it.
Picked up PES 15 in May,then 16 around June.
Besides the scripting,16 post DLC was fantastic,so I think we're in for a good ride with 17.
As long as they keep scripting away, demo is tough enough for a good ML.
Yeah fingers crossed matae

i agree we need a stretcher with injuries, with good cut scenes, so what if it stops the game for a few seconds..
