PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

Best gameplay video of PES 2016 so far. Looks really good animation-wise.

What I don't like is the automated perfect first touch for everyone and the seemingly automated shooting-mechanism.

If they would get more variation and possibilities into shooting and first-touch and add a proper realtime two-tiered stamina/fatigue system, this could be really sweet.

The two-tiered stamina system will not be in Pes 2016. At this point it should have been already present in this code.

I feel much better about this game now!

I don't know if you guys noticed (probably nobody aside from me cares) but Brazil's and Juventus' defending seemed much more narrow. Hopefully, this means the compactness slider is working

Many more people care than you think ;)

I still dont see enough compactness in these videos..

It's frustrating watching people play the game so poorly, in the PlayStation access video, they've openly acknowledged that everything is contextual in the game now (when it had been in fact for years) yet they're still rushing through everything trying to spam lofted through balls on first touch's scrapping at shots and passes with players weaker feet.. Ugh. Get someone who knows how to play these games to showcase it next time.

Wow..
"PES finaly has human animation and real skin texture "
Adam ...

Next year expect quite real round ball!

only positive about this video

- you can tackle the guy who does the rainbow flick
- in ML you can change teams/league and/or be a national team manager

"... which is what the fans ha.... Oooh, nice trick!"

- Adam, seeing an unchallenged Brazilian player do the rainbow flick away from goal, near the touchline.

Oh my god get over yourself. Games improve / change with patches saying E3 code is final is a little silly. I am not for % build talk but you are being irrational and a bit melodramatic

If you didnt enjoy PES2015 you may as welll move on PES2016 is not for you

You haven't read any of my posts besides the one you quoted, have you?.
I played lots of PES 2015 until a couple of weeks ago. I even bought a PS4 JUST for that game when they showed the videos at Gamescom. Then I switched to the PC version and modded the hell out of it.

I don't like the way you underestimate my opinions because they don't go along with yours or because I'm not on board of the hype train.
I've been in it throughout all these years. We have a saying that's something like "if you get burned with hot milk, you'll cry when you see a cow"... well... this is it.

I didn't say that the E3 code is the final code. Please read my posts carefully before you snap at me. What I said is that they usually don't work on what the majority of the people want them to change. They have their own agenda, so the feedback they get from the communities after we get all these videos is pretty much not payed attention to.

Please watch the video below at 60 fps, and compare it to the previous pes 2016 video.
Compare tha natural motion, the ball physics, the animations, the collisions, the speed, and the graphics and how beautiful the shirts are waving.

KONAMI removed all the nextgen technology tha Pes 2014 had, and served a polished Pes 11/12/13 with new graphic engine as Pes 2015. It played fast and accurate, but nothing close to pes 2014 natural and physical sensation.

I'm with you on this. PES2014 had a more deliberate pace and while that's partly due to the animation speed, it's also because of contextual animations such as players following through or taking a few steps after delivering a one-touch pass instead of having their animations cut to them on a jockeying stance, which is trait of the FIFA games, making every player look like they're being super-cautious or tensed even when possession isn't under threat. That shift in animation focus was one of the things that got me revert back to PES actually.

Unfortunately due to complaints on control responsiveness, Konami amped up the speed and pace for PES2015, sacrificed on animations by having them cut/shortened in order to solve the control issue.

The Playstation Access video showed something that got me excited back again: Randomness. I saw the ball bounce in mysterious ways some times and that is indeed necessary. Also... I loved some of the curved passes, I think there was once from Schwenie that looked wicked!

How can we know about that now when neither Konami mentioned it nor the game's out to test online?

+1 and it won't be something anyone will know until people start playing the game.

Liked the look of that video. Some nice cutscenes too. Although, I won't get my hopes up yet because they keep showing off the best looking version on PS4, as they did last year. Show me some Xbox One footage and then I'll be convinced :P

Or you cave in and trade in your Xbone and join the PS4 barmy army :P

I liked how Maicon used the outside of his foot twice to make ground passes when he could have also used his left. It reminded of Antonio Valencia wanting to use his right foot at all cost.

Well done to Adam and Konami for being confident enough about their game to show extended actual gameplay footage, whereas almost all of the other sports games at E3 have shown very little gameplay footage.

The playstation access video is excellent, saw lots of small things in that video which really please me. For what it is worth I am still playing PES2015 and enjoying it, yes it has faults but it also does a heck of a lot right so will continue to play it over the summer and look forward to PES2016 in September.

Yo, where can I get THIS game :CONFUSE:

i hope they can make the passing a bit harder for the final release.

one direct pass after another in the juve vs roma game, all 100 percent accurate and the ball never leaves the ground, this is such a big advantage when you play with full pass support vs manual.

if your opponent keeps pressing x without even thinking and controlling the ball he should get punished in a way, was working in pes5 too, and that is also fully assisted settings if you will.

other than that really impressed with the new physicality, big step up from last year for sure, don't care too much for graphics
