PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Well, I somehow believe gamespeed will be fine.

The true pace of the game can be seen in these two videos:

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_gc_pes_2015_gameplay-15704_en.html

If not, there is still -1 speed setting.
About other things, like team shapes and compactness, I am also worried, but let's see.

Yea, gamespeed will be fine. We go through this every year, people getting wrapped around the axle about the gamespeed in Youtube videos.

The pace of the game looks frantic because of all the pinpoint passing and perfect first touches, and perfect cross pitch crosses. It seems like everyone has Laudrup like ability to bring a ball down and Busquets first touch ability.

I love Weedens, no homo!

All his videos are brilliant.

Typical Konami not being arsed to make a trailer so one of their fan partners does it for them, konami planned this as their marketing strategy and it looks as if its working.

I'm 100% sure this game will be a huge success and Konami are moving forwards but i still have some doubts that need to be cleared up once the demo hits

Or maybe the ppl playing with these teams r using higher pass assists??
That videos by weedens is fantastic man, that is what this game is capable of when ppl who kno how to play it, play the game. That goal by Neymar controlled by the AI tho *_*

:P

But...but...Pirlo was one of the main guys in the vid :D
btw maremas, sorry for my ignorance, but r u the guy who makes patches for pes or am I guesing wrong?

They are all playing on 3 bar assist passing. This is something people tend to overlook.

Yh that is true, one guy who I was watching his vid last night was saying he has not played pes since 06 and he felt in his opinion a noob so had to play on regular and higher pass assist and the game impressed him so much he will be making pes videos along with his usual fifa, dont kno him tho, just seen the vid. So maybe most ppl here loved the game but as there is a learning curve, they felt fuck it lets play with higher pass assist cos we only have 5 min each half, lets just enjoy it, we will learn it another time.

That weedens video is outstanding...fantastic.
Wish i hadn't seen it, seems almost too good to be true.

Game seems a litle bit too fast, but i would be very happy with a final code like this...don't spoil this now Konami. God does knows they are capabel to do that.

I came across this recently, pes uses artists to make the faces rather than face scanners like ea does for fifa. That is one hell of an impressive face design if that is the case man. And they must be payed a lot of money to do that shit.

Lol ppl have different opinions. For someone who has been playing fifa the last 4 years, tho i got pes 14 had to return it for fifa 14, this game speed is perfect, it aint fast trust me. But then again u r judging by pes standards and am judging by fifa standards.

PES 2015 shows sery nice improvement from PES 2014 from what i have seen.

I'd like to comment about end to end football, sprint.. sprint.. sprint talked about on some earlier videos.
On the contrary to some belief here, i think that's just fine, as long as the game will provide kinda punishment such as "individual player" will get tired sooner. It's been sometime since i feel the need to have a substitution in PES, lol.

guys i have one question ,will there be injuries this time.it was pes 2011 where i witnessed injuries as it was balanced so will it be back. Now in the meantime i am playing pes 2013, its a very good game far better than pes 2014 bcoz i am enjoying it, scoring goals in pes 2014 is dull but in pes 2013 its like achievement but there also no injuries included..

Hard to tell how realistic this game will play - lots of tricks, ping pong passing, awesome shots on goal, and just sensational play - but good god it looks like loads of fun.

It's tricky. Some of you talk about realistic gameplay while some of you talk about fun. Sometimes the two just don't go along. How many matches do we watch every week that are really boring? Personally, several. Different leagues. Out of 10, probably 2 are exciting.

So it's really hard for either Konami or EA to achieve a realistic yet fun gameplay experience. That's why you either see ping-pong passing style or individual strides based on sprinting with players like Neymar or box-to-box action where there's really little-to-no battle or erratic passing from both sides.

It's all personal and it's all about what YOU prefer. Balacing realistic gameplay with fun it's almost impossible. I bet most of you wouldn't bare to have a game where you only get to shoot at goal 2 times in the whole match, just 2 scoring chances in 10, 15 or 20 minute matches. It would bore the hell out of you.

Very well said sir :SAL:

Realistic gameplay doesn't fit well into the 10 minute match time frame. Realism vs fun is a careful balance that must be quite difficult to get right.

To me, besides speed, a couple of things make the biggest difference between the concepts of "realistic" and "arcade": player weight/momentum and pass/shot accuracy under unfavorable conditions.

If these 3 aspects are well balanced then I think everyone will be happy.

True say. PES 2-6 weren't very realistic but were, for the most part, incredibly fun and addictive. If PES 2015 plays like those games I'll be happy. Too much realism is for people that wear blouses designed for big girls.:))

it is also important realistic game if you do not have some reality in the game is also not good, as FIFA. Here you add a little arcades, the game is awesome. I hope you will like NBA 2k. ;)

Yeah. The challenge for Konami is to compress the joy of 90 minutes football in a 10 minute match, and realism is not the way to do that, is the magic ingredient that made PES so fun and famous in the past.

They can't lose his soul.
