PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Zee i guess this is the bombshell konami were waiting to drop on us. It is sad that there wouldnt be one release without a KonamiDowner™.
I still feel there is more where that came from

And here cometh the shitstorm

Have to say, if you love options files, then PC, PS3 and X360 are definitely the way to go right now. It's a system restriction with new gen

Sharing issues won't last forever, the question is 'when' rather than 'if'. Priority is that we're back where it counts, on the pitch :)

On the bright side
Also been told our PSN digital pre-orders will be live early Sept, with extra content for myClub and wait for it....same price as retail!

I've been informed #PES2015 will be on steam across all territories for launch. Will let you know once pre-orders are live.

So, am I right in thinking, from what we know so far, the PC version of the game will be the one to get, as the PS4/Xbone will not have option file ability, and the PS3/360 will probably not run as smoothly nor look as good as the other versions?

The problem is not with import images, the problem is with file sharing. You can save files to an usb on PS4 with no problems, but you can only use these files in your profile, you can´t share with other people.

I still believe that the best solution for Konami is to create an online server to share the created data, in stead of people sharing direct through each other. That way they would not depend on Sony and M$oft.

Yup. 2K had this in their college basketball game way back in 2008. Made file sharing so simplistic.

Just saw the video of the other game, i wonder when konami will finally get the presentation aspects of the game settled. If they really want to make a splash this year why not also use this time that the have to improve things that drive immersion.

A Friend of mine came to my house and all he was on about was the fact that fifa has the new EPL branding and how much he is looking forward to to playing the game. We saw a video and the presentation looked top class with the EPL branding and the replays and the camera shaking as the crowd celebrates.

My response was well yeah we've got role-control, when will pes sort out its presentation, when are we finally going to have a complete game. Everybody keeps saying gameplay is key, fine it is, but the overall package has to be appealing.

I know i am wasting my time and the commentary and game presentation will be as you were if not even worse but when will things change i am sick and tired of nextyear we will improve.
Who remembers that last year konami said that they will implement snow and handballs and other stuff. This is 2015 and konami are saying now that the more prominent weather has to be implemented.

Are people aware that these things are supposed to be in sports games without even asking, fifa has rain, snow, overcast as choices. We are not supposed to beg for this things they are supposed to be in the game.

I think pes is the most backward of all the whole sports games available now in terms of presentation and packaging. This is 2014, if we do not ask for this as a community when will this change. Konami just keep lying to us and we keep supporting them, please tell me why a sports game in 2014 will be without snow. It doesnt make any sense to me. I mean people are begging for Nets, good net physics, do we really have to beg for this things in a 2014 football videogame with all the advancements in technology available to us . They had 1 whole year to do something to the nets and they just ignored it and it will probably be the same on release.

I want a game with good gameplay that also feels mordern, we look at fifa showing off all these things and we say oh thats nice to have, Can anybody give me any reason why we shouldnt have it in a football game in 2014. There are a ton of things konami can use on this game such as linking the champions league to real-life champions league stats and data and even commentary.

Why cant we have a matchday feel to the champions league mode?. Its like people have become used to the bad presentation from konami and the treat it as normal. To be very honest here i cannot carry on like this, something has to change and change fast.

I cannot believe we are getting rain as a feature and metal gear solid the another game with the same engine has dynamic weather how absurd. I really am not impressed with the build-up so far, and not particularly excited either.

Please i urge you to take a look at the UI for the live updates and the UI for the my-club. The players are boxed off stupidly and the entire thing looks cheap. When are we going to get proper ingame faces. I mean konami have the fifpro licence so what is the hold-up. I look at fifa and see all the things it does right and wonder why would anybody leave them even if its a shallow game.

I literally had nothing to say to my friend who came over today because quite frankly i know nothing. Its like we are condemned to love a game that will never upgrade its presentation will only appeal to people who knew what it was in the old days.

One thing i think that is quite frankly very idiotic is the dotted lines. They claim that the dotted lines are to help newcomers learn the game and to bring in a younger audience which is stupid because a younger audience will be drawn into a well presented game which pes isn't even remotely close to.

New modes, online stability, broadcast-style commentary, mordern presentation, a better training mode, up to date transfers , variable weather and match conditions, good soundtracks not nessun dorma. These things bring in a younger audience and more revenue. How can they claim that snow and rain would be in one iteration and then in the next iteration they say the more prominent weather has been implemented.

Don't we all as paying customers deserve the right to have a choice of variable weather conditions to play the game we love. I literally had nothing to say to my friend today about pes's presentation because it is absolutely rubbish.

I am tired i really am, the earlier we as a community start treating these things the same way that we treat the gameplay issues the better for all of us because quite frankly Pes is very stale and things must change for all of us for the better because we deserve it, we stuck with this game's bullshit for eight years and i have finally had my fill of this treatment.

We need results, we need a complete game

good post i agree mate, i know this are only details, but there are no excuses here... they need to implement more details, along side the game-play tweaking.

Sorry if already posted... just saw it today... Don't know if you guys saw it. :JAY:

EDIT: Normal difficulty.
Some nice things.... and some bad things. But overall I'm really liking it. :D
Completely turned off by that pin point right footed clearance by left footed Marcelo perfectly weighted to the he right winger, who brings it down with no problem and goes on a run.

So, import-export teams cannot be shared anymore?
If all the files are "signed" with our profile, that's a pity. Sony and Microsoft need to resolve that shitty system one day or another.

There are also modders who can find a solution too with it (with programs like like "Bruteforce save data" or whatever) but they only work for PC sadly.

Hmmm . No body from GamesCom do not say anything about the dribbling- tricks , super-cancel , fake-shots, and things like that . How they works .. Are they more like PES 2013 stile or 2014 ( where was total broken in that part ) . PES 2013 tricks system was one of the best.

So, am I right in thinking, from what we know so far, the PC version of the game will be the one to get, as the PS4/Xbone will not have option file ability, and the PS3/360 will probably not run as smoothly nor look as good as the other versions?

Yeah I agree, but I will be getting it probably for PS3. I don't envisage that much of a leap graphics wise from PS3 to next gen, can we really expect that much considering the PS4 has been out less than a year?

Unsure if been posted but noticed some things i never knew in product information:-

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 Product Details
By looking at key facets of modern football, the PES Productions Team has completely reworked how the game performs key sections. The shooting and goal-keeping mechanics benefit from a new system that allows precise aim and control over a shot’s power and also unlimited shot styles. Similarly, the ‘ keepers intuitively close angles and are capable of an amazing number of ways to react to any situation. Passing and the final ball to the front line has also been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons and powerful daisy-cutter passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball realistically behaves as it would. Close control also steps up a gear, with the player governing both the positioning of a player, but with greater options of how to dribble into space or beat your marker.

Key On-Field Advances:

Incredible Response Times: Lightning fast controls allows users to instinctively react to every movement when the ball is in play
On The Ball Abilities: Take on defenders using each player’s bespoke dribbling skills, as opposed to relying on ‘trick’ moves. New skills include Close control, responsive sprint and incorporating a much wider range of pace - from walking to sprinting
Case for Defence: Users have complete control over when to close down, tackle, or hold up play. Successful defending is based entirely on the decisions the user makes

New Generation Highlights

Behavioural Patterns: PES 2015 now boasts a huge array of players that both look and play like their real-life counterparts. KONAMI has faithfully recreated over 1000 players this year, with bespoke animations and playing styles across its extensive player roster. Teams automatically adopt their real-life game plan, whether it is counter-attacking, out wide, or defensively minded. They run like they should, play the way they do in real life, and react emotionally as they would to fouls, goals or referee decisions – with their frame of mind actually affecting how they play!
Poetry in Motion: The individuality of the players is further enhanced with seamless animations. No sacrifice to animation has been made in the pursuit of fast response, yet the movements flow effortlessly calculated in real-time and dependent on the player’s position in relation to the ball and its speed. Player models themselves are also carefully enhanced.
Bring the Noise: PES 2015 mirrors the atmosphere of a top-flight match. The crowd animations have been hugely enhanced, and the ebb and flow of a match is met with context-sensitive crowd effects and movements.
Let There Be Light: All in-game elements from players to crowd and stadium now benefit from a single source of lighting naturally bringing the game to life

PES ID Advances:

PES ID: Teams are set up to play as they do in real-life, while their star players will work within this framework, but will be instantly recognisable via their runs and playing styles. The world’s greatest teams will not just move and find space like they would in real life. They will defend or attack like them automatically
Realistic Abilities: While the world’s greatest players are indeed capable of moments of incredible skill, PES 2015 focuses on their abilities as a player and not their flicks and tricks. Beating a man using pace and close control is key to attacking play, and only those that can will get away with rainbow flicks will. And, even then, not every time…

All-New Modes:

myClub: Demanded by fans of the series, an extensive Master League Online overhaul allows players and managers to be added using accumulated GP points or via micro-transactions within club dealings. Agents are now used to meet player requirement criteria, while unhappy players can upset the balance of a side to detrimental effect. Team Sprit plays a key role, as the compatibility of the manager between the player, players with other teammates creates better teamwork impacted the on field performances
Live Updates: Weekly DLC updates will constantly update transfers and team line-ups across the English, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian leagues. Player data also updated based on current performances every week, so if a player is on a goal-scoring streak, his stats will be boosted accordingly in the update. Applied to online modes and optional within single-player mode
Adaptable Match Environments: A good manager knows how to give his side every advantage. As manager, players can request the grass be left long to slow down short play, or watered to suit a passing style. You can tailor any part of your stadia to suit your bespoke needs
Accurate Player Stats: The player parameter system for PES has been completely rebuilt, working with key community sites across the globe to create the most realistic player stats database.
Second Divisions Added: PES 2015 features the second tier leagues from England, Spain, Italy and France for the first time in the series, vastly expanding the database of upcoming players to scout
Role Control: Role Control allows three players to divide the defensive, midfield and attacking roles between them for more structured multi-player action. This new mode means players govern their selected area and adds a new cooperative slant to the game.
