PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

The majority of the vids are looking good, but I am fearful the game will be a speed fest.

That isn't what most of us want.

"A good base" they said for pes 2014, but how can a game without any depth be a good base? With upped response in pes 2015, the simplified passing becomes really obvious. No complex, varied passing patterns anymore..There are indications they've killed both the stats and the depth, although individuality looks a bit better than Pes 2014.

I don't think Pes 2015 will live up to its expectations and won't be surprised since I haven't really seen any decent guy working with pes nowadays. Seabass at least was old school and knew some football.

All I hope for is a playable game.

People got what they wanted, or they thought, response.

The result looks like a game with no depth. It will sell more than any pes and get good reviews, but a lot if people on here will hate it
I think the players in this movie didn't give you top-quality gameplay.
Both struggled with defending and build-up was often dribbling until they lost the ball. If you see two good players playing this game, you will see planty of depth.

A 40 yard goal at 6:30 from Schweinsteiger made by a struggling user. Gosh! Shooting really needs to be fix. It's waaaaay too easy.

My main concern with pes 15 is the amount space between players, allowing easy goals based by the videos iv seen so far, I hope that it's because of team setup and users having full control for defending which allows these easy goals. Won't judge till iv played demo cause basing it from videos overall can be misjudged especially when it comes to the pace of the game.

Weedens (from Wearepes) in his feedback said that the game isn't as speed and encoded youtube and that is not that easy to score...
He have a free-ticket an played a lot with this beta in Konami France locals, and it's not far from his home. What you see is probably the most intensives matches.

If you're interested by the summary i can try to translate a bit, all is not perfect but the speed isn't a problem, for him at least.

But i'm also worried about the defense and shots personnally, even if the feedbacks said the contrary.

I've watched many of the videos and i'm coming to a very similar conclusion.

I feel this game will be great in the sense it will launch Konami back on the map and sell a shitload of copies. It will show physics and animations like never before in a football game which i look forward to.

I feel this game could very well disappoint me because i'm seeing, well i'm not seeing enough of PES 2011-2013 there. shooting, players and the AI seem to shot from scripted angles, there seems to be a massive lack of fluidity in off the ball movement compared to the games of that generation, it looks far too basic.

What worries me is they went back to PES 6 not realizing people loved those games at the time and they are very dated now. Even people going back now are playing it with rose tinted spectacles reminiscing on the great times they had in the past rather than viewing the game with a critical eye like they do today. Those games where better 'all round' than PES 2011-2013 but the gameplay itself was inferior by quite some distance.

The tactics seem to be the very worst thing for me. in the Spain video on superstar, they played like the AI of PES 2010, infact i even preferred the AI of Spain and tactical settings of 2014, it was effective in keeping the ball and replicating tiki taka very well, it just wasn't a great game.

This is what i predict, but i still wait till i get my hands on it.

Last video is painful to watch..Insane game speed, ping-pong passing and arcade shooting with shitty ball physics, ice-skating moves all over the place...

It is way too early to judge the game.
One can only judge it after having played the retail version.

I liked the podcast with Asim Tanvir.
The guy was very positive about the game and in the past he has been very negative. This is not a blind unconditiinal fan. I'm also sure that come november, this poor guy will get plenty of stick by the people who don't like the game. He will not deserve that stick, because judging PES has become very subjective. No matter how good or bad the game will turn out to be, opinions will be divided and this will never change because after the generally poor current gen efforts, people have build a myth around PES6. I remember well that i was disappointed by that game, for me it was a step back from PES5. i've replayed that game recently and i must say it isn't as good as i imagined it was. The game has less obvious flaws as both 11 and 2014, but to me those games are better.

Time will tell...

About the speed, it looks to fast IMO, but Asim said that it isn't that fast irl.

Sorry if already posted... just saw it today... Don't know if you guys saw it. :JAY:

EDIT: Normal difficulty.
Some nice things.... and some bad things. But overall I'm really liking it. :D

Some lovely stuff in there. But what is the keeper doing on the 2nd goal? (cracking pass for it btw!). If this is the exception rather than the norm then fine. Im sick of scoring what I think is a great goal on PES only to see it went right at the keeper and he misses it.

So PES2015 on PS4 and PC will have the same gameplay, but PS3 version don't?

That Schweinsteiger midfield goal smells like scripted goal to me. Look at the way the ball moves.

Smells like freaking awesome to me. So long aa it doesn't happen too often. Can't read anything into it though. People moaned and groaned about shooting being underpowered in 2012 then overpowered in 2013. It's all about balance imo. So long as the exploits are minimal and the ways of scoring are variable I am fine.

Can't wait to climb into this game proper. The hype is strong with this one.

Well, I somehow believe gamespeed will be fine.

The true pace of the game can be seen in these two videos:

If not, there is still -1 speed setting.
About other things, like team shapes and compactness, I am also worried, but let's see.
Yes,this looks like good gamespeed.
@Klashman69, I think you should be happy with PES 2015, because it looks like the player who prepares his team tactical best has the advantage! I agree that the standard formations of the teams, in combination with the lack of know-how to defence in the new version causes huge gaps in defence.
That is the nice thing of PES, you can tweak everything tactical ;)
...And we need to learn how to defend over again in PES 2015.

Decent pace in the last video and some nice football being played. It makes a world of difference.

@ the Schweinsteiger goal....I'll file that under awesome PES moment. Couldn't care less if it's scripted. I haven't seen many strikes like that in all the gameplay videos so far.
