PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

The guy playing as Spain is absolutely horrendous.
Also, the one thing I completely hate is that horrible keeper animation that rears its ugly and common head during both the second and third goal.

EDIT - make that during the fourth goal as well.

From what i can see, it does look more responsive than previous installments. the speed of the game is horrific though.

Douglas Costa's first goal is good. The guy playing as Portugal does that thing where he tries to chest it down and pass it out instead of just whacking the ball clear as you should do.

For the sake of the game itself, the goalkeepers need to stop parrying it forward. Regardless of how unrealistic it might be, it helps the game a lot more when they naturally push the ball away from goal or simply out of play.

Edit: Having watched it again, a huge problem looks to be the ease of controlling a moving ball. On so many occasions both players put in a pass or through-ball that their player lets run a little bit past them before managing to control it perfectly each time thus giving them a perfect position to shoot from. It needs refining so that there's more natural error as it must account for at least half of the goals in that match.

I don't think Konami's aim its to directly compete with FIFA but rather to provide an alternative, it's the connoisseurs choice. Sure if they ever sold more than EA's edition it would be a bonus but I don't think that's realistically their goal anymore.

As a huge fan of pes 3-6 i lost my feelings to pes. My hope, my love, after what i see im not even interested of buying it. What a shame. Too many disappointments in my view its almost the same like 14 similar to 13 in gameplay aspects i need a dramatical change

Yeah, I had mixed feelings about the game but this video - which, I might add, was the worst of the lot - made me a skeptic that this year marks the return of the king.

The game looks terribly bad. Nani is nowhere near like his real counterpart, there's still that terrible bumping that is unrealistic to no end and the goalkeepers are still appalling.

I have to say that this video will make it very hard for me to purchase the game.

Terrible.

:FAIL:

That one video is so important that you don't even want to try the demo or listen to play that wil play the final code in November.

I already asked you: why post such overreaction?

Overall, there's still work to be done but I'm pretty happy with the way the game is shaping up this year considering it won't be in out hands for almost 3 more months. When I watch the videos I feel like this is the game I was expecting in 2008. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Something about the keeper animations is just totally wrong. I thought evoweb gave konami feedback about the dotted lines. So konami just replied the fans by making it a little dimmer.I guess if i choose to squint i'll almost not notice the fact that its there good job Konami :BRICK:

check konami's track record and then ask yourself that question again

Player's stuck on fumbling animations is still a thing... Looks so bad. And shooting still lacks variation (way too many very powerful shots in a straight line)

Some animations look very rudimentary, like fast turning animations (perhaps because some turn way too fast).

Thats exactly what i thought.

@Ninja that was a good one haha

there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the game.
looks fantastic.
won the sports game of the year award.
no one at gamescom complained about anything noteworthy.
still some here that haven't even touched the game, keep nitpicking.
starting to get the feeling that some just want pes to fail and the idea that it won't be the case this year is really bothering them.:SMUG:

Soon jon champion and jim beglin will return to reap the happiness from my life with their depressing commentary.I cant wait for the pain

Adam bhatti just tweeted some faces im not really impressed tbh. maybe its the angle or something but i think they can be better

Despite the Spain guy being very bad, this video showcase something that i've been noticing.
- Shooting is completely overpowered, plus it seems that lacks variation.

- Keepers are still very bad, they only do basic saves and most of the times they are parrying the ball forward.

- Defence gives way too much room. On counter they don't "glue" themselves to the strikers. Plus there's a clearly lack of physicality. A fast player is way more value than a stronger player, even in the centre.

A lot of work to do...

Don't forget the game-setting at gamescom is regular and most players probably did not change the tactics. That can cause those gaps in defence...
