PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

A whole month for FIFA 15 before we get retail PES. I both like it and dislike it. Glad that they are putting in more time to the game, and upset that I have to wait that long. We probably won't have decent patches 'til mid december.

It's a great move. They won't be overshadowed by FIFA on release and that extra time can give them an edge into creating more content and perfecting the gameplay. If FIFA 15 gameplay fails to entertain, most will jump ship. Kojima is pulling strings and restructuring Konami.

Surprised by "Silent Hills" announcement yesterday, he appears to be THE MAN in videogame's industry right now. Let's hope he brings Konami to the next level.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Did you see Fifa 15 video seriously and compare? "A generation behind" OK
People think that to looks like reality, a footy game have to look like FIFA (yeah, realism/EA), which is a big mistake.

Just take a look at "similar weird players modeling" by Tim Burton (TM) and upper scripted passing game on Fifa 15 video, is that realistic?

I agree with you. I was watching the Bundesliga Supercup (whatever the name is) just now, and what I could see, the animations in PES 2015 look a lot like real football compared to FIFA.

In my opinion, FIFA animation transitions looked better than PES before, and that's what people always liked better, but I have always found FIFA animations looking kinda goofy, and all other EA Sports games for that matter.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Seems like konami will never be able to achieve the quality of ea's animations.

6 years since their first next gent installment and they still can't get it right. They are a generation behind.

Fifa is absolute rubbish. Floaty crap and response times are brutal. Has no soul.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Is there wear and tear on the pitch this year, during slide tackles for example ?

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Wow... Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes Coming to PC

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Yay. powerful shooting, but how hard is to make nice realistic nets .......:JAY:

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

The gameplay looks more like pes 6 than pes 2013 to me. I think it's looking a good game but I'm a bit disappointed with the off the ball movement, looks quite static and as if defenders are helping their defence out enough.

Animations, physics and passing looking good. I have a feeling it will be a good game, playable but might still fall short of what I want but will please everyone else enough.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I like what I'm seeing. Looks like PES6 but with all the extra stuff we expect from a game in the year 2014.. like 360 degree movement etc.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Part of the awkwardness on the walking animations seems to be the weird amount of little steps players take before "connecting" with the ball. A bit like what happened in PES2014, the difference is that when they touch it it doesn't look like they're using close control all the time.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I hate that always at games' shows there are two random yahoos playing like 10 year old kids. The game would look much better if there was someone who would play with some common sense, someone who knows how to play footy. It's not a goddamn pinball machine.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

OMG same stadium, reminds PES 2014. We can be glad that there is no Bayern again on the vids. Gameplay looks good, i want a competetive game like PES6, will see how it plays. I dont want a half product again. How about stadiums, same amount? More detailed? Stadiums in Pes 2014 did not feel alive in some way, felt empty not finished i dont want it to be again. Nets are disappionting.

Am I in the right thread? I'm surprised by the amount of positive reactions in here. I'm glad many of you are happy.

As for me, videos look OK, not wow'd yet. Think it's the frantic style that's putting me off.

Need to play it my style before passing judgement.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I'm not really positive tbh, since the game is visually the same and animations deffo aren't it's strongest point (I mean, some are very good, others look completely off), everything up to the actual gameplay quality for me, which is really hard to judge at this point.

Powerful shots look good, and most of passing, clueless about keepers.

OMG, you are not really positive? That was totally unexpected!

I am shocked!

/sarcasm

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

It looks okay to me. Thought it would look and act a bit more "next-gen" to be honest. Gotta play it though.

This

Never ceases to amaze me how bad people play at these events. Maybe they rushing to get as many games in as possible

I don't see any defensive pressing in those videos, perhaps they are not familiar with the system and did not play a PES since long time...
But the game overhaul gives me a freedom sensation, in a good way (not arcadish)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I guess the heart system has been trowed in the bin. Shame, it didn't work properly in 2014, but was a great idea, which should be improved upon.
