PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I can see what you're saying, I thought I was watching a Fifa video for a minute . . .had to check the adboards to make sure.

I hope it's not morphing into Fifa . . . that would be disastrous. . . it looks nothing like the leaked video a few weeks back.
then you don't play FIFA.
you'd have to be blind to think PES is FIFA when watching a video of their gameplay.
FIFA models have long arms and always seem to be floating.
FIFA animations are really bad compared to PES.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Interested in both FIFA and PES, my judgment will be made after playing the demo enough times to see if there's any broken mechanic.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I couldn´t care less about snow.

In fact I don´t need it.

But what would be nice (what I already mentioned on this board here), specially for the atmosphere in ML, gloves, maybe some foggy, blurry whatever effect and a some snow aside on the pitch in the winter season.
And the crowd wearing winter clothes (scarfs, hats, thick jackets).

For the AFC they changed the crowd also wearing arabian clothes, so I guess it wouldn´t be a big deal.

You're probably right. . . I don't play Fifa but I have seen some of their videos . . . I was referring to the dribbling and passing. . . just doesn't look like Pes!

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I play a lot of FIFA NG and in that video I noticed individuality more noticeable the ball seems more loose and the game feels like they made it slower which is what I prefer , but need to watch more but looks promising for both games, I'm no fanboy by the way, I just want to play a good game of football and by the looks so far il be buying both.

I think the problem I see here in Fifa 15 is that when players are sprinting with the ball under control, it seems to me that players can change direction easily Without loosing the flow, because they don't need to readjust the body balance, and thats not realistic. And if you can always keep the flow and body balance while sprinting and changing directions with any player from a 5 stars team, that really takes the sense of individuality.

Messi is One of the few players in the world who can change direction while sprinting with the ball under controle Without loosing the flow because of his specially body balance and his soft touchs on the ball.

I noticed that some (or any) Man City and Liverpool players can do that easily. And in PES This is not much the case from what I've seen.

The overall gamespeed is fine tho in Fifa 15, and it feels like it has Little more "weight" to it, wich is good.

That Van Persie goal and that Robben pass in PES 2015, amazing...

Fifa is rubbish... Always has been and always will be.
Ma anche no?

The fact that FIFA 13 and 14 failed to improve the FIFA 12 standards in terms of gameplay (with 13 being a little superior in graphics) doesn't mean that the entore franchise is rubbish.
It just means that FIFA 12 has been the pinnacle of the series and that EA couldn't do better since.

Just because for many people the pinnacle of the PES series dates back to the PS2 era, it doesn't mean that each and every PES game has to be considered rubbish.

as long as it can be mistaken for a match cause their is much more foot planting, then its PES.
when it looks as if their are fairies or ballerina's on the pitch then its FIFA:LMAO::SMUG:

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Last thing Konami/PESteam should be thinking about is snow. Fifa 15 shows good improvements over 14... I mean "derp FIFA fakes EA sack balls jelly players and stuff".

Definitely.
I mean, it would add a nice touch but it's not a thing you see that often (well, at least in the leagues featured in PES).

I mean, Imagine you're playing a Champions League match @ AIK Solna: snow would be a nice touch but again I'd be happy enough with proper rain (decently rendered AND altering the ball physics accordingly), at least for this year.

After all, if I recall correctly, snow has only been present in PES 5 and 6 and then got removed.

People's expectations of snow in 2014 aren't the same from the PES5 era. I would rather see a true rain mechanic this year than a half assed rain and snow. Plus they have to fix the last year's mess.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

As much as I "don't really care" about snow, can't help but feel like Konami had the resources and the time to implement a wide variety of weather conditions with proper gameplay impact. People got too used to Konami constantly underachieving but forget the PES Team is huge these days.
