PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

There are 7 years since goalkeepers have been decent in PES, and that says it all. It's unbearable, really. :(

You're saying something is unbearable, after watching what...5 or 6 videos?

Not saying it's perfect, but to hand a verdict after a limited video is a bit unfair, don't you think.

On another point, I didn't see the jinks feature. Well they are probably busy pressing R1 / sprint all the way. In the Holland - Brazil video, halfway through and Van Persie's stamina bar had been depleted to a mere 50%.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Same comments every single year."looks great" etc and then once game is out "oh well maybe next year is the year for pes"

Same comments about the same comments every year.

But in my case, i finded PES 2008 to 2013, too robotic and not sexy at all, same old engine. But with a brand new one, expectations are much more justified.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

regarding the goalkeepers the rival game just released a video and i must say its impressive what they have done with GK´s

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

There is a distinct lack of transition animations compared to Pes 2014, like we could already see from vines.

I guess this is their way to make the game more responsive like someone already suggested

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I'd love to see Konami do some of their own 'in house' gameplay videos. Maybe just two guys from the UK studio (who know how to play properly) playing a 10/15 minute match, demonstrating new gameplay features and commenting on them.

These Joe Public gameplay videos are invariably train wrecks to watch.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

well presentation is pro. glad they copied WIN 8(it seems) too, and overall all new stuff looks great. only the gameplay what is left.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I like with iv see so far for pes, but I reckon FIFA looks and plays amazing as well, best part is we get to buy it next month, good year for both titles

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

He plays vs the CPU in easy or normal difficulty... Too weak opposition to really see if the goalkeepers are "that" bad
This.
The keeper actually looks like not doing his best to reach the ball (I don't know how to explain it in proper English but it looks like he's not "fully extended" towards the ball) but it might just be the difficulty.
Still, FIFA keepers look on a completely different level at the moment (I've seen the new clip from EA and it looks that they've been improved a lot).

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

On second thought the release date is very far away from the demo and it's exceptionally long into the season. Makes no sense to me, unless it's about securing more licenses.

Well, I don´t think it looks bad.
I don´t wanna make any comparison though.

Like I said in the other thread it is the first time that I like the animations and ball physics but am still not really fond of that ragdoll player collision system on tackles and fouls.

To me PES looks better in that matter.

But definitely worth to check it out, imho.

Haven´t played FIFA 14 on NG though, so can´t say whether it´s a big change

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Tell me what is amazing in this video? What is difference than F 14 on Ps4?

I play a lot of FIFA NG and in that video I noticed individuality more noticeable the ball seems more loose and the game feels like they made it slower which is what I prefer , but need to watch more but looks promising for both games, I'm no fanboy by the way, I just want to play a good game of football and by the looks so far il be buying both.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Konami announced some weeks ago that the demo will be the same as the real version.
Hopefully it is.

I mean, I hope they won't do like EA Sports did with FIFA 14: wonderful demo, supreme game at the release, completely different game after the first patch which came something like a week after release (and I'm not saying it now isn't fun, I'm just saying it's different from what I liked in the demo: it's more fast-paced and such).

Seems good too, but too rigid and "predictable" in terms of ball physics and players motion on the pitch. And i don't really like the way they accelerate (i think it's Sturridge)
Progressive at first control then going like a bullet, unable to catch up on the flank, distancing everyone from few meters, and ball control remane pratically the same as FIFA 14 NG.

Players are very well placed on the pitch, but too well in my opinion. Btw the game seems solid, thanks to the Gks and restrictions.

But the general feeling is the game will be "goal to goal", i don't know the english expression about that... Quick counter based, less effective on the pitch center even for all players. Possession game style don't really have been effective in pratically every Fifa, kick'n'run for all team, strength or speed>>>technique.

well i play with shitty old players in UT online and im in division one with possession only games, no doubt everyone plays for counter or with high pressure and all attack but still you can play however you want and can succeed

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Around 1:20 or so there's a really nice animation where the striker side foots the ball past the keeper but misses the goal.

Around 3:30 one of the German players at the top of the penalty box is trying to make a run off his defender but the ball gets played wide instead and he throws his hands in the air, annoyed. Haha nice touch!
