PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Well, I don't want to start a flame or something, since I'm a football fan and an unbiased one aswell (believe me or not), but I don't see why would anyone play PES instead of FIFA if PES is an arcade. As an overall package, Konami has no chance against EA, and if both games are identical in terms of realism, it's obvious almost anyone will preffer FIFA, which is definitely the better game technically. :(
They didn't even touch the replay angles, the cinematics, although they are brilliant in the way that they are AT LEAST cinematics (not that souless piece of crap celebration system from FIFA), are still outdated and they lack variety.
Don't even get me started on keepers, it seems they still react way too late. The transitions look even worse than in PES 2014, and moreover, players turn way too fast once again, it reminds me of PES 2009 when I could just take Messi/CR, zig-zag the **** out of the AI with fast turns and score countless goals.
I'm not saying "PES is over, bla bla", because I didn't play both games yet, but by the looks of things, nothing looks that promising IMO.

One thing I don't understand:
Konami announced some weeks ago that the demo will be the same as the real version.
Then why comes the demo on 17 september and the game on 13 november?

Even if i know you've switched to Fifa and even editing for Fifa for some years, i tend to agree with you. At least from the movies posted so far, i see the same arcadish style i hated every year at Fifa. I don't see the PES6 old feeling.. but.. we will see when the game will be launched with the final code.

Even so, i don't hold my breath over it. I knew i shouldnt have high expectations of OLD PES in this 2015... but the movies i've seen so far are way dissapointing and gives me nothing to counter you. And trust me, i want to counter what you're saying but.. atm i'm disarmed.

problably becouse they want to update kits, transfers, faces, demo feedback to spot last minute bugs before the final product.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

People are bored from years to years with Fifa general feeling, "always the same goals", there is too much global scripted sensations, the ball make one with the player.

I prefer to control the lower than the upper body for a footy game, it's the Fifa sensation i personnally have.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I don´t get it.

We knew that it was based on PES 2014, so why are some people surprised that it looks like it?

Ball physics definitely seems to be better than in PES 2014 and the shooting looks good too.

Can´t see nothing wrong so far except for noobies pressing the R1 button the whole frigging time.

Gotta check on the other vids as well.

Same in terms of gameplay, but they can still tweak back-end mechanics and game modes. Also you need to keep in mind that once a demo is ready, it can just be uploaded. However, because a lot of people still buy physical discs for games, historically (I don't know how much this has changed in the last 10 years) you need around a month after 'going gold' in order to actually manufacture enough physical copies to stock stores ready for the release date. One eventual benefit of digital only games is that release dates will come a month earlier :)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

PES 6 still exist, you can always play it. It's f***ing arcadish, still prefers WE9. Stop being so nostalgic, you were a lot younger when the game was released, Konami don't sell rejuvenating pills for your brain.

We are in 2014, i don't want a remake...

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

chiefrocka4real: Yes, that's the good part. The bad part is that the goalkeeper should have saved that ball !
vialli82: at least old PES games had decent keepers, from what I see, PES 2015 GK's have slower reactions than myself, and I'm one of the worst keepers ever, they simply react WAY too slow. :(
I bet that if Konami decided to pay a decent programmer to make those keepers acceptable, they wouldn't need to spend more than about 50.000$, but they preffer to keep these money instead of investing them wisely. There are 7 years since goalkeepers have been decent in PES, and that says it all. It's unbearable, really. :(

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

finally proper advantage rule.. ref let the game continued and then gave yellow card when the ball goes out .

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I saw the gameplay videos...and I noticed 1 thing...I am pretty sure they added the shirt color-matcheed cuffs...I know it is not important for most of you but I really wished it could be in PES 2015 and I am glad for it now...in pes 2014 and before you were forced to choose 1 default colort for this and it was annoying to see for istance Neymar with red cuffs playing with brazil...I hope you got what I mean...now this issue is fixed

He plays vs the CPU in easy or normal difficulty... Too weak opposition to really see if the goalkeepers are "that" bad

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Same comments every single year."looks great" etc and then once game is out "oh well maybe next year is the year for pes"

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Not a single picture of player's attributes (new system btw) or video that navigate in the formation menu?
No? Ok :COAT:

Are you sure?
Check the replay (thank god they didn´t skip it).
The keeper stands near to the left post, so his positioning is quite bad as Robben almost perfectly heads it into the other corner.

You see that type of goals a lot in real matches.
Headers are mostly very hard to parry and if the keeper manages it to do so, then because his positioning was good and/or the header went straight to the keeper.

I wouldn´t really interprete a bad keeper AI to that kind of goal.

EDIT:

I would like to see the jinking run.

Why the hell do these people there just play ahead like some arcadey addicted fools instead of checking stuff like jinking run, dribbling, long shots, stats etc?
