PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

As much as I "don't really care" about snow, can't help but feel like Konami had the resources and the time to implement a wide variety of weather conditions with proper gameplay impact. People got too used to Konami constantly underachieving but forget the PES Team is huge these days.

Well, think about it this way. If they would work and at some point manage to provide a complete game (snow, rain, hundreds of possible animations... etc) what would be the reason to launch another game in the next year? Just for updated rosters and some new players? I don't believe someone would pay extra for that. All of us will stay on the current game with updades we make on our own --> loss of $$ for them.

It's a thought, think about it ;)

if they nail the gameplay this year, all the cosmetics can be added afterwards.

Nah, they wish.

a) to make money
b) to make money
c) to make money
d) you get the point

And there is no such thing as a complete game.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Gaming it's an industry, they need to take their share of the pie each year otherwise the product will cease to exist due to lack of $$ profit. Simple as that.

I know very well what you're on about mate, but that's not the case with PES. Games can be a complete package and still have annual updates that keep selling.

Yup. So many examples out there it's not even funny.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

The last video posted showing the advantage and booking is the best one so far. . . . ..now that does look like Pes.

Probably depends on who's playing the game in the videos.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I like it for the most part and I am excited, but doesn't it look a bit frantic. I always feel players in PES aren't good at just standing, they always seem to want to be in motion. Maybe it's because I haven't played it extensively lately, but is there even a standing button like there is on FIFA? I think it would be useful.

The pace is probably what happens every year that it looks fast on the videos but feels slower in person.

A whole month for FIFA 15 before we get retail PES. I both like it and dislike it. Glad that they are putting in more time to the game, and upset that I have to wait that long. We probably won't have decent patches 'til mid december.

If the standing button you're mentioning is what I think it is, FIFA copied that from PES actually.

in this clip.
YouTube - PES 2015 Gamescom #3 Gameplay - Matches Galore [HD] - PS4/XboxOne/PC

look at 2.17 - Fernandinho tackled Schweinsteiger
@2.40 when the game stop, the ref give Fernandinho a yellow card.

Cracking video..the subtlety and nuances of movement,passing..this is a next-Gen pes

Currently floating on a cloud of titties,couldn't give a rats arse about snow.

Release date?...demo?

Yes its youtube so its fast,but the gamersyde video shows the true tempo..I just feel the angle and variation of teams in the YouTube video shows the game off better.

I'm stoked!

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

My take on the gameplay videos.

Positive:
- The gameplay looks amazingly responsiveness and fluid;
- Players contact and collision are done properly (not like in PES2014). It really looks great;
- A lot of new animations. The passing animations look so good;
- You can see players’ movement without the ball that show the team individuality that Konami is talking. Germany plays different than Netherlands. That's really great.

Negative:
- Players when only walking it the ball (not running) looked daft, and unnatural (but better than in PES2014). If there's no consequences gameplay wise, it only an aesthetic complain;
- Shooting seems OP. Too easy to score;
- Defence looks a bit off. Maybe this is only because defence relies more on user's skills and the guys playing it are not accustom it.

Konami should make some "in-house" games with a good recording season to show case both the gameplay and the graphics. This "amateur" recording by first time players isn't very appealing.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Seems like konami will never be able to achieve the quality of ea's animations.

6 years since their first next gent installment and they still can't get it right. They are a generation behind.

What's so special about EA animations? Do you like the way players are running or shooting? I don't, i find it awful.

Did you see Fifa 15 video seriously and compare? "A generation behind" OK :YAWN:
People think that to looks like reality, a footy game have to look like FIFA (yeah, realism/EA), which is a big mistake.

Just take a look at "similar weird players modeling" by Tim Burton (TM) and upper scripted passing game on Fifa 15 video, is that realistic?

Well, FIFA animations for next gen aren't that impressive.
And same old gameplay with kick-off, one or two passes and solo run.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

PES 2015 looks good, but I need to play it before I can past judgement on it.
