PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

YouTube - Fifa 15 vs PES2015
On this video ( 3 : 04 ), the game is capture directly from console, not with cameras or phones, and now you can see the real visual of the game, witch ... look exactly the same like PES 2014 for PC , for me .

The grass in this video (04:30 onwards) is definitely not the same as in Adam's vine....

They are playing on regular, everybody knows that if they played PES more than once.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Seems like konami will never be able to achieve the quality of ea's animations.
6 years since their first next gent installment and they still can't get it right. They are a generation behind.
Well, I must say you're right if we talk about goalkeepers.
They've always been a prolem in last gen's PES games and now that EA made proper next-gen goalkeepers, Konami's current gen ones struggle even more and look even worse...
But for the rest, I like what I see. Still there is a lot of work to do when it comes to join animations together (remember the Ozil vine?) but animations (if each is taken on its own) look proper.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Again the keeper discussions

Put your hand up if you played the latest version of PES2014 I.e. After the latest patch

Now comment on keepers

Fifas keepers I won't comment on

Edit
Sorry I am being a douche. Fifas keepers have a better animation set but feel fake. You can almost tell when they are going to be beat. From what I have seen on the vids PES keepers are massively improved in animations but that doesn't mean they are better or worse at goalkeeping.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I seriously hope that the demo we will get next month isn't the same as Gamescom demo. 5 national teams, 1 stadium setting and no clubs won't be able to tie us down until November.

Give us a decent demo and I don't mind waiting until November.

Well I didn't comment here but I commented on another forum.
Mind that I don't own the game so I played it at a friend of mine only right after release and then several months later with the latest patch, missing everything that's in between.

Here is my impression:
*aLe said:
Soprattutto i portieri.

Long story short (CBA to translate it literally but if you want I'll do):
- Huge improvement during the year: with the latest patch they're way better than at release date.
- Still too slow, after a save, getting up and becoming aware of what's happening*.
- Keepers should take side steps on the goal line to gain a better position before diving (thing that I don't recall having seen in PES 2014).
- They should rush out more often if it's the only way to stop an opponent (at least, the CPU ones should. Mine should not as it's me who has to tell him when to rush out).
- On top of that (and this looks solved at least in PES 2015) they should roll more often after a save instead of falling flat on their belly.

*you see this also in the Brazil vs. Germany clip (comparison between FIFA 15 and PES 2015): when the player shot and hit the post, Neuer just got up and... Did nothing. Didn't even try and reach the ball (even if it was impossible at that time, I expected at least a try).

One handed save animation is replaced.
We can now score from long range.
Still not challenging in one on one.
Not enough functional animation.
Not that dumb anymore.
Very rarely make a sequential save attempts.

7/10

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Also, here is my take on goalkeepers after the latest patch (or, at least, after the last time I played PES 2014)... I forgot I posted something also here: http://www.evo-web.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=2933006&postcount=4492

By the way, now that I think about it... I've never seen any "opposite hand" save (like the keeper diving to his right and using his left hand to reach a ball which is set to go under the crossbar) in PES 2014.
Is it me or they're really missing? They were there in older ISS/PES gmes for sure.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I haven't seen a decent passage of play in any of these videos. . . .I'm putting it down to the people manning the controls. . . there's been no long shots of the type that the Pes6 gang never shut up about . .I haven't seen anything resembling dribbling. . .. all I'm seeing is basic "obvious" passing and build up play...... there's a lot of premature ejaculation going on about the new game...... the jury is still out for me on this one!

BTW I loved Pes 2014 after the patches with the exception of the last patch. . .thought they cocked it up with that one, so much so that I haven't touched it since!

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

This is one of the best clips so far!

I love the animation @2:18 when Bernard goes for the header but misses it!

Looks fantastic.

I think there was a similar one in the very first PES 2014 demos, but never seen it after final release no more.

Anyways, good commentation by James Dean lookalike here.
He said they have been completely disappointed with PES 2014 but enjoy this one a lot as it plays much much better.

I play a lot of PES 2014 these days and the ball physics on 2015 seem so much improved compared to 2014.

Also the passing seems to be a lot better, specially through balls.
Through balls are quite weird on 2014, they often come way too fast and if the player doesn´t catch the ball, it goes off the pitch.

Can´t see nothing wrong on this vid except for them steel cages and the fugly ball (not a big issue though).
We should spam Adam about the goal nets, there is still time left to fix it, isn´t it?

EDIT:
I wanna see the damn jinking run!
Why does none of them peeps check it out??

That's why I agree with people suggesting that Konami should release actual gameplay footage highlighting what's new (more or less like what EA's doing).
Maybe also 20/25 seconds of AI vs. AI (on a somehow high difficulty level) to show how it plays would be enough. But it must be real ingame footage.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

YEah we know and it is a Good move for konami to get back old memories :D
