Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

so what? pes2014 looks awesome on PC.
Usually it did (this very frame tricked me in believing it was a real football match):

Well, this is why I said "usually":

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Again the keeper discussions

Put your hand up if you played the latest version of PES2014 I.e. After the latest patch

Now comment on keepers

Fifas keepers I won't comment on

Edit
Sorry I am being a douche. Fifas keepers have a better animation set but feel fake. You can almost tell when they are going to be beat. From what I have seen on the vids PES keepers are massively improved in animations but that doesn't mean they are better or worse at goalkeeping.
The FIFA goalkeepers have indeed felt predictable in what you know they will save, and what will be a goal, and they adressed that issue in the EA Gamescom presentation. They rebuilt the GK's from the ground up with a whole new set of better animations, realism etc. Or so they claim. When the game is out it should settle if they really did make them feel real or not.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

That Portugal vs Germany video is superb that touch and finish by ozil looks supreme.

But the almeida equaliser. The nets. Oh FFS

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I don't want to watch videos anymore.

This has actually put me off buying fifa15 - seemed a sure thing a few days ago. I have limited funds atm and is still in my online shopping basket

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

You know what? All this speculating made me want to play PES 2014 again.

It seems like a pretty good simulation of a "box net" style goal under high tension. The ball hit the back of the net with such little force that there was barely any movement. I suppose there should be a bit of movement at the top of the net due to it being "pinched" down by the ball though.

Yeah, i kinda liked too.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Player twitching is putting me off. On the Germany - Portugal video, when Meireles has the ball and the replay focus on his feet, it looks weird as crap. His feet are planted foward, suddenly twitch to the right, then foward, then the heels sink into the grass and the feet looks like its going to take off and fly into space...

Man, I think FIFA has no personality but the fact that the players run without these annoying twitches makes it way smoother than PES.

Ia this really the case

Saw the comment on the fifa section and was pretty sure that the problem with skating, clipping etc is on fifa as well. Saw some weird shit on 2014.

Hell I even saw Lavezzi stick his fingers into a guys chest on the 2015 vid but that's nitpicking as fuck

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I've checked about attributes, remains the same as last year, but Ozil, Muller have changed globally. But that's not information that i want to give, i've made calculation.

Combinated Formulae "Scoring Instinct" "Work Rate" and "Penalties" are not been finished yet, in terms of calculations: The 3 have "Tenacity" included in (disappeared attribute... But for now on, we don't know)

Observations

PES 2014

Scoring Instinct = (Attacking Prowess * 1.2 + Finishing * 1.3 + Tenacity * 0.5)/3

Work Rate = (Stamina * 1.3 + Tenacity * 0.7)/2

Penalties = (Place Kicking * 1.2) + (Tenacity * 0.8)

PES 2015

Scoring Instinct = (Attacking Prowess * 1.2 + Finishing * 1.3 + 40)/3
"40" is the lowest attributes we can have in PES from now on, that's how it was calculated in the Beta version. So, Scoring Instinct cannot reach more than 89. Conclusion: Not done yet, or a specific card abilities will add + 10

Work Rate = Stamina
The result talk by itself... Not "combinated" at all, so not done at all.

Penalties = Place Kicking
Same conclusion as Workrate

Other observation: Neuer have "91" in Tenacity in in PES 2014 and "60" in stamina. Now, he've got "92" in Stamina, that means both attributes (Stamina and Tenacity) have been inrverted for Goalkeeper, probably an error due to the early version presented at GC. As well as some players have "40" in Goalkeeping for no reason at all.

General conclusion:
-The stats system is not polished yet, we don't know if there are missing attributes that will be included in the final version, how the Combinated Attributes will be calculated from now on, and if the ratings will be globally different (perhaps more extremes values like Fifa).

So it still an early version, there is no need to continue to make calcution about stats, the system can radically change or stay like this and Combinated Formula/Stamina for gks adjusted. And it's the same for all that you see in videos: Too early to judge until November.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I'm assuming all this footage is from the PS4 version.

Is there any details/footage of PES 2015 on the PS3/Xbox 360?

Cheers.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

The rain will be in the final game, but no snow. They wanted to prioritize climate Highlights
The weather will affect the game. More details on this will be given in the coming weeks
The PC version of PES2015 will be an improved version of the engine for PS3
The option to add manual goalkeepers will be in the online mode
There will be scenes of ceremony, awards and presentations Master League modes
The 11vs11 mode is in PES 2015
There will be more stadiums in PES 2014, but still can not say exact number
The intensity of the IA will vary depending on the training, configuration and defaults. Local and visiting are included
There will be Vita version of PES 2015
The display will include the alternates on the bench during games
Teams will have younger players in their squads

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

- Full stad. editor details will be announced later. There are advances, like choosing where your team can enter the pitch.

- All licences, as usual, will be confirmed closer to the release of the game.

- Squads will include lots more youth players (that have featured as squad players and covered by the FIFPro licence).

- The AI intensity will vary depending on formations, settings & default options. Home & away settings can now be included.

- The pitch won't get cut up. More emphasis has been on recreating realistic pitches - down to differing grass lengths.

- The number of stadiums in #PES2015 can't be announced yet... But there will be more than in #PES2014.

- 11v11 will be back in 2015. The team will confirm any additions and changes to all online modes at a later stage.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

After viewing a lot of gamescom videos of both FIFA 15 and PES 2015 it looks like i'm going back to PES. looks very promising! As for FIFA it still looks a lot like last years mess up.... so much ping pong nothing like football, but im sure many kids will enjoy it.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

i really don't like the direction pes 2015 has taken from the gameplay videos I've seen.. remained me of fifa and pes08 together.
