PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Great skill in such a short space. The game looks really fluid.

The crowd looks amazing. Don't known if my laptop will be able to run this :(

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

How is the first sudden change of direction a fuck up? He stopped the ball and changed direction much like any player in real life would. The player models are fantastic, much better than FIFA's. The game is looking great in my opinion, animations look smooth and much more responsive which is vast improvement over the shambles we got last year. Love the small details such as Van Persie's arm movements and De Rossi throwing his arms behind his back during the blocking animation. These are the small details that made the old games special, hopefully this is the year the king returns. Keepers still worry me however, that's one thing Konami seem to stuggle with, Gamecom will be interesting!

Nitpicking Oxford Dictionary

ADJECTIVE

Looking for small or unimportant errors or faults, especially in order to criticize unnecessarily.

NOUN

Fussy fault-finding.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I can see it even though it's minor. There's a split-second where Ozil stands up and it appears as if the next animation kicks in. Probably not even noticeable in real-time.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

As per the recent (and excellent) post by sniglet, you can't really have silky smooth transitions in animation and instant response times. The two aren't mutually exclusive but a happy medium has to be found and I will always favour responsiveness over animation blending. One you notice more than the other when playing the game.

There you go. Really not worth getting all spun-upabout, especially if it doesn't affect the gameplay and the game plays well.

How instant reactions don't effect gameplay..Animation transations are there because of ultra responsive-instant reaction gameplay..Pes is going to be arcade-heavy game this year and it's very normal when you consider almost %90 of Pes community wants this kind of game..

The first sudden change of direction is a complete fuck up, but the rest looks awesome.

There has to be a comfortable medium though.

I can't help but agree with anderson - the snappiness is an eyesore.

I agree.

But I agree with the others as well. I'd take responsive play over animations now.

Maybe, some day, we'll have both.

In the past few post you said Fifa is going to be the greatest football game ever. So why are you here?

Didn't you say Pes is no more competition, that it's dead? Again, why are you here if the game is dead for you?

If you are placing your faith in FIFA being the simulation football game of your dreams then you are only setting yourself up for a big disappointment.

As for 90% of the PES community wanting an arcade football game - you clearly misunderstand or choose to neglect the reasons why we were all drawn to PES in the first place.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

@Zeemeister: Neither do I, and I agree it is a minor issue... But still, if those animations were correctly tied together it would be something just supreme!
