PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I feel sorry for those complaining about "skating" because they're really going to have a hard time when they leave home and go out into the real world.

... and just like that you insulted a ton of people giving actual feedback to make the game better.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I don't care about skating clipping anything like that i don't mind as long as we get a game that is worth playing has depth a master league where regens don't come back with same stats etc, a youth team which is actually worth taking players from the development in 14 is way too low for me pes is about starting with default players in master league and planning champions league glory. This year i hope for a complete overhaul of master league i would be happy with 14 if the master league wasn't so underwhelming and defending i hate defending in 14.

Summary for what id love in pes 15

Master league overhaul
Defending made better
Player id back

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

According To me : EA SPORTS make fifa good game by buying People. all rewards from other Games Like battlefield make the FIFa Game cool bcz Money buy Licences etc.... & That What attract people to it By the Way Konami Had Only 1 Big game make money and the second Game is Castelvania but not too much gained from it . Alos, Idon't understand why they like fifa LOL . the Animation of players are Very ugly the only way make fifa good game is money and buying licences from rewards .

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Being a brand fan over a videogame fan is what causing EA and Konami to put out shitty products every year.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Bad first touch? if u ever played pes 13 u will kno that is a ball control feature where u flick the ball up, and can turn the ball behind u over ur opponent's head or take a shot, in this case the guy passed after he flicked the ball up...

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

well what is impressive for me that there are some NT licences there. about these glimpses, PES 2014 still looking good on videos so...

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

They look nice. Lighting, motion, pitch, model, animation... Would love to see more GK reaction to different cases plus whether they'll release pc version :OOOH:

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Completely fed-up that justified criticism gets constantly shot down. How is it wrong to want things that are constantly a problem to be fixed? No point on focusing on the positives because they're already... positive.

Perfection might be impossible but you sure as hell don't make anything better by settling for "just okay".

I'll leave you all to it. :COAT:

What does that matter if the game is fun?

Cosider this;
Let's say you meet an incredibly sexy woman and by some miracle get to take her home. Once you get her clothes off you'll notice that her arse isn't as perfect as it looked with tight pants and her tits aren't as perfect as they looked with her bra on. Do you kick her out of the bed? No, most of us can agree that it's possible to have fun without perfect toys.

Holy.. sh.... its look just like SUPERVAN ...his movements ..
And the way how he look around.. so cool .

There's something in that shooting animation that made this virtual RVP really look like it's real life counterpart.

Awesome.

Gotta give some credits to Adam here. Really Nice job.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

From what i can see there're four problems:

animation blending
skating
wrong foot position during shots (that was a problem since old Pes)
terrible low pass ball bouncing (i think thats a problem since..mmmhh...pes2011 maybe? don't remember....kind of fixed in pes2014 and now....welcome back)

The pro i notice:

graphics
player id
good shots trajectory

all in all....im not that excited. waiting for gamescom.

What an example man, totally agree. You couln't have given a better example, since we all here as men can relate to that

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

I think the reason for the backlash on the skating criticism is because they way the nitpicking is spoken about its like people think its easy to make video games perfect.

Its so much better and puts your mind at ease to understand why rather than just automatically execpt things to be sorted.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

That is the problem with gifs of a couple of seconds and no further footage. People overanalyse them and in the end are disappointed.
Make a real gameplay clip of that game and most people won't notice it.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

So that thing we call the Hype Train. I'm back on it :)

I loved what I saw in the vine vids because last year I had no tactical alternative to FIFA. Now I do, I'm delighted I have PES back whether it's 15%,50% or 100% better

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Sorry for posting a negative here... But I hope this isn't confirming that replay mode is locked in slow motion again. I hate that.

Ice skating is annoying. Though probably not as noticeable at full speed and on the gameplay cameras.

But it says a lot that that's the only niggles I'm seeing.

Adam said they are working on 'ice skating' issue....hope it will be fixed on the final release....
i think replay is not locked in slow motion, if you see that Hummels and Lahm pass video, it was faster.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

For people who want 100% real football.

Turn your console off, go outside, grab a ball plus a few mates and play for 8 hours a day like I did when I was a kid. Thats pure football.

No game is going to be 100% perfect.

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

there really isn't criticism of negative feedback. It's just when people who have stated that they are not interested in PES and are moving on to fifa or claim pes has died highlighting the same issue over and over again. It's not constructive and is only there to wind people up or make themselves feel better that they choose fifa as their game of choice
choice. Nothing wrong with that but they must expect counter criticism.

Take this kun fella for example he said fifa is the game for him and Pes is over. The chances of him saying that it looks good is impossible. He would much rather highlight something like skating to make himself feel secure about his early judgement.

Dont know why they did this along with removing the free camera. Another thing that disappeared into the Konami black hole

Re: PES 2015 Discussion Thread

Personally I think this new footage looks really promising. I think everyone's main problem with 2014 was that the responsiveness of the players made every aspect of the game a bit more frustrating than it should be, and I agree with that sentiment.

I love 2014 for what it is, but I've been playing a lot of PES 5 and 6 over the last few weeks and love the responsiveness of those games. Everything feels really instant and direct - if you want to shoot at goal with a defender rushing towards you, it's still possible to get a quick shot on goal because the game reacts so fast to button presses.

The view that I take with "ice-skating" and animation glitches is that they are almost a necessary evil if you want the game to respond quickly to what you want it to do. Animations need to be able to break in mid-flow if you want that instant shot as the player might be in the middle of a run animation. You can see this type of animation behaviour all the time in PES 5/6, especially when the boot doesn't even connect with the ball as it's too far in front of the player.

I'm sure with modern IK systems and clever animation blending (and adding more animations, which is probably the key), much of this can be solved, but I feel Konami are in a "damned if you do, damned it you don't" situation. If they kept the unresponsiveness of 2014 we could have perfect animation as the player could take an extra step to get closer to the ball rather than ice-skating towards it. But in this scenario the player would never have the instant control that people obviously want.

I'll take a bit of ice-skating and the occasional animation glitch for a game that reacts instantly to my input. I understand that it'll take Konami a ridiculous amount of time to add all of the thousands of animations the game would need to make every animation transition look 100% realistic. Having said all this, if the glitches are present and the game still reacts slowly to button presses, obviously my opinion will change, but currently I'm really excited to try out 2015.
