Hey all im new around here loving the new vids but id really like to see some defending its shit in 14 it works but its not enjoyable.

Player ID is spot on for Van Persie. Ballo also looked great, although don't know if there Player ID or some random animation, but looked really lifelike.

So it is safe to say PLAYER ID is defo back unlike last year claiming it to be there when it was not entirely fully present. That RVP running with his long hands stretching out and looking around while he takes gentle touches to create space before going for a rasping shot is perfect example! Guys this player model is what i been dying to see, they r not fat like pes 14, so so excited to try out demo now!!

Pes is built from stats.

Pes has at least 6 different milestones for technique, dribble accuracy and explosive power. Along with heart, foot frequency and accuracy, stamina and tenacity each player like shown from 2011-2013 in 360º moves differently, then you add different dribble styles, player id and tricks.

Compare this to fifa which places it's emphasis on animation transition over stas actually generating unique movement.

Konami need to go through every possible animation ingame linked to each stat milestone and make sure they are responsive and allow enough freedom and responsiveness.

It doesn't surprise me seeing this jerkyness. Infact its a good thing we are seeing this since it shows unlike last year smoothness in pes 2014 which was smooth from e3 onwards this game isnt basic and limited like last year.

They need to take their time and make sure all the animations are sewen toghter before release and postpone it to make sure its done.

Lets try and see why things are happening rather than get all draw into your ego on if your proven wrong or not. Wheather your right or wrong makes no difference to anyone but yourself.

Understanding moves us all forward.

Van Persie was pretty mesmerizing. But we've already been through this last year. With gifs of the game pre-release looking superb and then the game was crap.

That falling animation looked good, plus the way De Rossi got of the way was ok. In PES 2014 they would probably just clip into eachother.

Im seeing ice skating, i wont judge until i play it. No more let downs i give pes no chances, will see when i play the demo, for now fifa is looking to be the game i wait, will se what it turns out soon.

Skating doesn't HAVE to affect gameplay. FIFA14 NG has a lot of that actually and it doesn't hinder gameplay.

I can see that, but it can snowball into another year of listening to moaning because certain people can't win matches at will like the sacred pes5/6. . . . . they're obviously trying to get a blend of a challenge and fun mixed together.

Foot-planting does have an effect on gameplay, which is why it's hard to incorporate into a sports game.

What's wrong with "ice skating"? This is a video game, FCOL. As long as isn't noticeable when you play at normal speed and doesn't affect the gameplay I’m fine with it. You have to consider that users’ input delay the "normal" movement of the player you are controlling. Even in the best sports title (nba 2k14) you get "ice skating" on dribble and such. It's normal. A bit more of foot plating would be good, but there's more pressing issues to tackle.

Playing a game pes and fifa for two months of a whole year is not a playing for me... not enjoyed them anyway.. its sad.

It does not have to. If the PLAYER MODEL is restricted by the normal physical movement of limbs and inertia, the VISUAL SKATING will not even matter. Once they are not literally gliding across the pitch in ANY DIRECTION at no speed restriction, you will not notice. As with FIFA 14 NG

So far, ice skating and stuttering seems to be the biggest issues in terms of animation. Hopefully the AI is good enough to hide these problems.

Somthing else that must be noticed is that Brazil and Netherlands are fully licensed, as it seems... ok, not that important, but it's still a posotive element, why not
