PES 2015 Discussion thread. PC

Yet another game that will go on my list of games to boycott along with Assassin's Creed Unity this year. How can we allow publishers to pull off this c**p, deliberately gimping PC versions of their games, making the console counterparts superior graphically and gameplay wise. Konami are a joke, I've been following this community since I discovered PC gaming with PES 5, seeing you awesome modders put in blood, sweat and tears into this franchise and this how they've treated this platform. Disgraceful.

I installed the game, it goes at steady 60fps but it's like going at 30fps, do you have that too? Kind of micro stuttering without a single fps dropped.

Turn off vsync and also set a fixed refresh rate in your driver settings, I set mine to 60hz lower than the res I play, smooth as silk. Make sure you check what your montor can handle first of all and step through refresh rates and force them (lowest to high) each one and see. Kill any background garb, set exe process to "high" as well may help. And obviously get latest graphics drivers.

Gosh... this input lag is killing me... ruin everything

I get noticeably quicker response than 2014 (not massive but I notice it), with 360 controller ... very differing results it seems.

you now what is the big problem? instead of writing the shooting from scratch they just give it more power (too much for me ) and here you have it.. new shooting system .

The problem with shooting is the general player movement doesn't affect the shot at all.

In PES 2011 and PES 2013 especially the shooting was fantastic, since the movement was so dynamic this is what varied the shots, body position, weight, technique. Now the animations all move in one-piece so it's too easy and consistent to get your balance right all the time. There was a lot more responsivness in those games compared to this year.

I think i will move away from basic shooting since it easy, just don't press the direction while shooting, just press shot in certain positions and it's automatic goal, it will be manual shooting i think for me once i get used to the game more.

I still really like the game despite its flaws. Overll it's really good. What it does well is fantastic.

Well said, at least the gameplay is very good this year, but i feel rather annoyed that Konami have blatantly sabotaged the PC version to make the PS4 version look better, what really annoys me the most if the PS4 version still looks like a PS3 game anyway. They just glossed the textures over.

Sure that is strange... :( Anyway with some tweks in the gameplay and hopefully lod unlocked, it surely can be a nice game.

I played a few games where it was really smooth, but all of the sudden it went just like this. Microstuttering from hell. Vsync seems forced in the game, and I have it off in Nvidia control panel.

I really want to like this game. Ever since PES5/PES6 I wanted a nice PES game. Went Fifa and full manual when PES totally crashed. The freedom is actually very nice and gives most of the time a smooth and enjoyable game experience. Well, if it wasn't for all the Fifa players online that are allowed to exploit the game to a long ball, pressure and rush fest...
Been trying 2013 and 2014 for a couple of weeks, here and there so not totally unfamiliar with how PES plays.

The production value of PES has never been their strong side, but it's beginning to become a joke. It looks and feels just like it did back in early 2000, and not in a good way.
On the pitch it's a stiff, stale history where you just can't have a smooth and fluid game experience. AI don't seem to know where the ball is, and usually is surprised when it reaches their "scanned zone". I see this all the time when passing on manual or in 0 passing assistance. Animation (variation, triggers, length and/or acceptance of aborting or changing moves is just not good enough. The movement still feels too clunky and in a lot of situations, usually shooting and passing it just feels unnatural-not based on real physics.
I'm completely aware of me not being used to how the game plays, and I'm sure I can "get better".

I actually expected an inferior PC port. I also expected a slightly less fluid and intuitive game play compared to Fifa, but not to this extent.
Despite extremely low expectations I'm disappointed.

I have quite an extreme input lag and microstuttering. It really kills the joy.
Played the ps3 demo again and nopticed a huge difference in responsiveness.
Any Idea how to solve this problem?

My pc should be more than capable to run this.

Exactly my feelings. If i cant fix that, the PC-Version is dead for me.

microstuttering went away for me when i switched from pc monitor(dvi) to tv(hdmi)
60 hz....smooth.

Is it possible to get the camera further away(see more of the pitch) and not zoom in...similar to fifa co-op view ?

Pes 2014 camera editor work ?

i5-4670 3,8 GHZ, r9 280x, should be enough :)

I´ve tested the 360Demo(TV) and PC-Version(PC-Monitor) parallel and thats a fact. The demo is more dynamic and more direct. There´s an input lag on PC Version, definitely.

yes here too, input lag is really noticeable :CURSE:

i5@ 4.6 GHz and R9 290 and not response as a 9 year old console :R1

Manual shooting FTW!

Regarding Passing however, I need some sage advice. I abandoned PES2014, so I'm coming direct from PES2013.

No matter whether I use automatic or manual passing (with L1), the ball always seems to travel at the same speed. And it's slow. I thought that by holding the button longer the pass would have more zip, but no - it just goes to the furthest player. Am I missing something?

Also, are the constant player collisions unavoidable?. I'm not sure if their frequency will subside once I get better. I hope so. I played a couple of online games against similarly bad opponents and it was a ping-pong orgy in midfield. Legs and splayed-out bodies everywhere.

Oh, and the ref is a bastard!

Good game otherwise.

I mentioned this a few posts above, force your hz rate to 60 or lowest setting of monitor this for me smoothed it all out as well, same as pes2014.

If anyone still has stuttering issues after forcing the refresh rate, download NVIDIA inspector and force the FPS limit for PES to 58. This should also help with input lag as well.

Had a few problems initially as I have an optimus laptop, which has both an Intel and NVIDIA card. PES settings would only let me select low detail and 1280x720 because it was detecting the Intel card only. Forcing it to detect the 660m in the control panel meant I could select all resolutions and details.

Also forced 8xAA and 16xAF from NVIDIA inspector & now it runs perfect.

So pes 2015 is available for my country after all in steam ! (It was locked from my region like pes 2014 for a while). No demo still, isn't it supposed to be out at 13th November already ?

Would love to hear feedback regarding online modes from pc users. Most importantly , how smooth is it and what gameplay like there ofc.

Enjoy this game atm. don't give a shit about graphics. its not even that bad.

just want to know if the gameplay is similar to PS4 version? remember reading that only graphics the difference.

Thing is it also helps as a reminder to check opponents line ups, and lets face it already existing content shouldn't suddenly be removed only added too, konami should have places a "intro cut scene ON / OFF" option in settings or match start, thats all that was needed.

Otherwise we are accepting lesser content, which only feeds the Konami troll :)

Exactly.
Also sometimes I wanna soak in the atmosphere and everything, specially after wtaching a good CL game on TV.

I wanna be able to choose whether I wanna skip it or not.
I don´t appreciate that policy to cut out stuff just like that.

KONAMI have done that way too often and to some point I don´t wanna accept that anymore.

They are in normal weather, rain and anything else the color tone and fog wash them out, it needs a mod to kill fog I "think". Seems surface or texture modifies with fog weather, needs investigation into how pitches textures work this year (light was a major change in 2014 when modding texture) and seeking fog values.

Wont use external tools like this adds to FPS loss and Gcard heat up ... much prefer it later when we can look into modding values & turfs. Pointless keep spamming it here, how will my point of view match yours? Just wait, get home, and then try it, my system may react poorly against your rig etc etc :)

Just started a Master League as AJ Auxerre and don't worry, it still has its usual charm :D

But yeah, the game's quite good, it will simply take me a few days to learn it :D Overall, really happy about it!

Since you play the ML, please let me know whether they have put back in injuries.
I´ve asked that in the other thread already.

It´s quite important for my decision to buy that game or not.
Last year´s ML didn´t have no injuries and that made it feel quite dull imho.

In former releases players got injuried during a match or training which forced you to manage your team and maybe give another player that usually sits on the bench his chance.

I really miss that.

Why is everybody ignoring the sweetfx thing?

Shouldn't that be the solution especially for that or am i wrong? Then sorry for posting it again. If I were at home I would try it ... I just want to know if it helps.

Yeah I wonder about the same thing :).

Could anyone please try that?
I´m sure it´s gonna make the game look a lot better like it did last year.

Question - I'm using a Sony Playstation Gamepad via an adaptor, when I go to settings, I can't configure the buttons to my personal choice.
I prefer to shoot with the circle and cross/hoof with the square.
When I try to change it, one of the buttons becomes blank and I lose button 0 as shown on the Xbox controller image, for example.
I can change three of the triangle, square, circle, cross, but not all four because one be comes blank!!!

EDIT: I've changed to my old Logitec RumblePad and everything is fine :II

Hello Gentlemen,

I've been following this topic for quite a while, finally decided to participate as I got the game this morning.

To answer the immediate question on the thread SweetFX does help with the game graphics, even though it's a fact the PS4/Xbox One does look better engine wise (as Konami officialy recognized PC won't get the "full next-gen" game).

I've created my own SweetFX setup (still a WIP), see below for some off/on screenshots.
NOTE: these screenshots have been taken in replay mode, which do look better than normal gameplay mode.

Oh lordi, lord... first impression is so-so. Pitch colour looks good, the lighting overall looks quite realistic. Response is better than 2014, I still miss the juggling with the right stick (but on the other hand I would miss player-switching with it).
The sound is awful, the drastic change of quality between normal cheers and the screaming when you shoot a goal is terrible.
The crowd looks like shit - seriously... FIFA 15 gets the next-gen, fully-modeled crowd and Konami can't port it over from PS4/XB1?

Right now it's a bit disappointing overall.

I think this doesn't look that bad, even the original ones and there is 3d grass on the turf. Why is everybody saying the opposite?
