WOW , EA do it again :D they copy that first touch from PES with R3 button, but they will do it with R2

Goal Keeper seems more enthusiastic animation-wise :P

Combination play is interesting for variety of attacking play. But what's with that trajectory guide ?

I agree with you Jamezinho, the big majority of FIFA fans are the ones who can't stand seeing Chelsea called London FC, or Liverpool as Merseyside West ..
FIFA offered them much more licensed teams and leagues, also the Manager mode is better than Master League ..
but in gameplay and graphic and players movement, PES is and was always better, even in the disgrace shit PES2008 ..

but, unfortunately, FIFA got more popularity for the licenses ..
for example the facebook page "Troll Football" are always trolling PES and always concider FIFA as their best entertainment in their life ..

That's why in the last FIFA 14 demonstration they puted Neymar on Barcelona.
"To our souless fans, our next-gen game is full licenced and with the latest transfers, but in terms of gameplay and innovation is the same!!!"

A very positive aspect: the AI tries to maintain ball possession; the CPU players pass backwards every time they're under pressure (including long passes), and one time they even passed to the goalkeeper.
Now, Konami should hire someone who knows how to play the game to demonstrate it. This would make it look even more impressive.

It would be great if Barcelona played like Barcelona, and Spain played like Spain

In the UK, no Premier League license, no PES. It always been this way. That's why Konami is focusing on another markets like Latin America or Asia.

I look for mods from all around the world to add to my game. There seem to be much more PES modders from South America and Asia than there are FIFA modders.

I would love to be FORCED into parking the bus against Barcelona or Spain. Right now it's too easy to play normally against them.

The incentive for EA to do anything other than this has not been there for years as it hasn't really had much of a challenger this gen. It has been able to swallow up all of the licences safe in the knowledge that its nearest competitor has not been able to provide anything radically better in other areas to even mount a realistic challenge to EA's hegemony. I despise this reality but a reality it is.

Personally i could not bring myself to buy FIFA 13. I purchased the demo and while it does a lot of things well the core gameplay is still too pacey and rigid for me. I had bought every one between 08-12. Yes you can alter this somewhat with sliders and so on but there remains something lifeless about it.

I am not certain that EA will be able to rely on marketing for ever (and i am not suggesting that this is all they have done since 07 - clearly that is not the case) particularly if Konami have finally gotten thier act together. The average age of gamers is rising and its possible that this will be accompanied by some more discernment in what people choose to buy. That said Konami look as if they are trying to be a wee bit smarter in thier own marketing in trying to open up new areas of the world to the game - areas that are not in thrall to EA. The aquisition of the Brazilian and now the Argie and Chilean leagues are great moves by Konami. Obviously this needs to be accompanied by continued strides in gameplay of the sort that appear to have happened with PES 2014.

Will this knock EA off its f*cking perch? Probably not, at least not in the short term. I have already read a few articles from various on-line mags making observations from E3 which seem to take FIFA as the benchmark for football games and confuse "authenticity" with licencing first and foremost. I just hope that Konami can stay on course and get the priorities right as i don't think they necessarily have to beat EA at their own game anymore.

Maybe i am being naive but feck it. Things are looking up.

About release date: Will Konami sell the game around September 20th, like last year? Grand Theft Auto V will be out the same week. It's a bit risky.

do we have any infos about following two things (or i missed it somehow):

1. new commentary for pes 2014 or still same old bad one?

2. substitution cutscenes back or not?

I have seen quite plenty of PES player on some other forum openly dissing FIFA 14 on their yard while praising PES 2014 at the same time. While it's completely their freedom of speech, but i suggest we keep our heads down and just let the gameplay do the talking. The time will come.

Guys, after re-watching all videos ,gameplay videos of the game , i see one embarrassing thing. Every pass ahead of all players, use same animation again and again. I mean just that pass, not right , back or left, every pass forward, ahead use exactly the same animation, every time for every player.

To hell their licenses and rest of the superficial make-up that makes all the mainstream jerks buy their game. Its the same jerks who listen to Lil Wayne(?) because he's on the toplist, dress like others dress and doesn't think that 9/11 was an inside job or think it was because its "exciting" to be conspiratorial. So, on a personal level EA disgusts me, fifa disgusts me and fifa mainstream fanboys disgusts me because I can't help that EA for me symbolises all the evil and mainststream shit that's going on in the world. Wouldn't give a penny to them no matter how tasteless and disappointing the cover, menus, look and gameplay of pes are. Still there is in the core of pes an ambition that captures football in a way fifa has no idea how to come close to because they lack that feel for football in general like most do in general which makes the most buy fifa. And for all of you who feel the same but just couldn't say it, now I've said it.

Anderson beats me

Anyway, in general it looks much closer to reality.. Volumetric lighting has come to PES. I don't think we had it previously, don't we ?

KONAMI should trust real football not their fans...

Latin leagues are good..But in Latin America the football is different than the European football which is the best football in the world...

I read somewhere that a Brazilian site wrote that the tempo of the game is slow and it wont like to the brazilian fans ... The KONAMI said that they tried to give a real rhythm to the PES 2014 and i agree with KONAMI..

South American football is the slowest paced in the world.

PES first touch with R3? How does it work?

Well, you press and hold R3, when the ball come to your player, then with left stick you pick direction .

P.S.: And i was talking about this animation :
pass2.gif

pass1q.gif

Every pass ahead use that animation over and over.

Who saw the Fifa presentation at E3?... It was horrible !

Pes looks like the way better game this year. It's not even close.

Who the hell needs next-gen when you have the Almighty PC (the real next gen).

yes you did:APPLAUD:and i thank you:COOL:

I have put this on the wishlist thread but ill put this here as well for someone to feed back to Adam or Konami.

REPLAY SPEED: Default viewing speed must be the same as the game speed. From there you can speed it up or slow it down with the right stick (or by pressing a button to slow it down or speed it up).

Currently, if you press the button to watch the replay it's at half speed or something and if you try to record a replay you need to use the right stick, but all the way to the right and it's too fast. Default speed should look like you were playing the game, not like it's super slow motion.

Agree about the replay speed thing but it's the least of my concerns right now. Was worried earlier about how gameplay would turn out and Konami has nailed it. Looks ace. Now, till we hear about game modes and database changes..

I want to let Adam know that if the Gameplay speed is the same in the final version I will instantly forget I ever heard about FIFA and preorder. Who's w/ me? :P

True - it's not a massive thing but Konami need to step up all over the park.

For example - they can't get away with the usual trick of making us wait 3 weeks for transfers to be implemented via DLC. Why can't it happen sooner? And updates that break option files etc.

Whilst I am impressed and very hopeful with what the game will deliver on the pitch and potentially modes wise, they need to be more timely and careful with other aspects of the game.
