@robbyearon says that the physical contact he experienced on the demo was just like this:

boca with roman will be great to play, also the superclassico vs river plate should look amazing:WORSHIP:

From the Gamespot gameplay vid

Wonder if the lighting changes because it's from a different build or a different time of day.

It may be from a different build, the faces in this screenshot looked less detailed, but that could also just be the quality of the video.

I'm trying my best at AVForums. :))

I do like reading that site for blu ray reviews and some of the arguments that ensue...... :))

Well it looks like Konami have really struck out for CONMEBOL because it appears in addition to the Libertadores and three domestic leagues, they will include the Sudamericana (EL is the equivalent here) and the Recopa (similar to when Atletico pummelled Chelsea in Monaco).

One other thing. I hear some people are dissatisfied with the speed of the game.

I do not want Konami to listen to this minority and instead keep the faith in their vision of trying to recreate what is an extremely difficult sport to model.

Perhaps Joao can get this across to Adam and others at Konami that we are perfectly satisfied with the speeds on display and that they should disregard some of the reviews complaining about this.

Probably from those who want a FIFA arcade game with incessant ping pong football and attacks every five seconds.

Gamespot showed next gen fifa 14 and man what a shame for their so called "IGNITE" engine. The game director just using replays to show new features in the game. The shame part is it looks identical to fifa 14 current gen. In terms of graphics, only crowds look better with 3d model apart from that I can happily say PES 2014 beats fifa 14 next gen in terms of graphics :SMUG: they still even use animations from current gen eg. crossing animation. No gameplay was shown though so didn't see the game in action. The game director claimed it is only 60% in production but tbh I have a great feeling pes will win this year. Now I don't give a damn if ignite won't come to pc, fox totally owned ignite :APPLAUD:

Yep, FIFA didn't look any different really, apart from some good cloth physics (on some weird kit textures, as usual), cool 3D crowds and... glass blades blowing up everywhere on every pass

Then there's part where they announce a couple of new animations as features, always fun :P This is where FIFA excels really, If FIFA had real tunnels from the stadiums represented it would be on the announcement trailer, Konami doesn't even mention it

The game speed looks fine to me. Unrealistically high-tempo, frenetic gameplay is not what I'm looking for.

Agree with you point - Konami should keep their heads down and concentrate on bringing us their vision of football. It worked so well for them in the past without taking on-board so many varying opinions.

forumers at fifa 13 forum are unhappy with ignite :PP for once I thought ignite will bring something totally different but now I think fox has much better future knowing that pes fox engine is still a current gen engine. Wonder what can the engine do once pes 2015 comes out. THANKS MASUDA AND KOJIMA :WORSHIP:

I don't want to be unfair but i was underwhelmed by that Fifa "gameplay"
If they said me that was on xbox 360 i would have believed it

Just as expected with EA Sports first attempts at a new generation. The same happened with the Xbox 360 and that FIFA 06: Road to World Cup, which was only a HD version of PS2 FIFA 06. The real change happened with FIFA 07, which introduced their known engine.

I suppose with FIFA 15 and PES 2015, both EA and Konami will deliver a true next-gen experience.

EA Sports should be scared. They should know that majority of players they have are actually Pro Evolution Soccer fans, disappointed in how the game panned out over the recent years.

KONAMI made a bold move this year and I guess, they will get at least good chunk of fans back with their new game and new engine.

Unfortunately for FIFA and Rutter, Ignite engine, is not made for single sports game. It is still made to cater for ALL EA Sports games (Madden, NHL, NBA, MBL and FIFA). You think FIFA will move forward? Nope. It will most probably be like in latest years. New features will always come to Madden/NHL games first then in same year scraps of innovation come to FIFA as beta test, next year the scraps get polished to full version. Same story repeats next year, etc. ;)

FOX Engine > Ignite. While FOX wasn't made entirely for football in mind, if focused on and redeveloped for football in later iterations, can make PES what it was back in the days. How the football can be perceived, in a way you never thought of before.

Things could be different if FIFA could use Frostbite engine (but that is in realms of sci-fi now :P).
