After seeing how good it looks, if this game has magic boots I'm going to cry. Seriously though it all looks very pretty but graphics and animations are pretty far down on my list of what is and has been wrong with PES this gen. If things like terrible AI and ridiculous scripting are still present then it could look photo realistic and it would still be a poor game.

on wenb the south american guys are reporting that the ARGENTINIAN AND CHILEAN leagues both will be in pes 2014 , konami are really going after the Commbol market:BOP:

I was talking about the HUD/UI before, so here are my proposals for this year.

Back to the PS1/PS2 roots. A simple, minimalistic HUD, with the player names, the scoreline and the time on their original position. The cursor returns to its triangle form.

As an alternative option, the time/score are similar to the E3 HUD.

I sent them to Adam.

Makes a lot of sense really. EA are trying to lock out some of the European leagues whereas South America is a market there for the taking.

Maybe a separate South American master league in future?

Also PES2013 is still the best selling game in Brasil. Konami market is huge in Latin America and they are finally looking at us.

I like it! In fact, I love it! Mind if I post it on the WENB thread dedicated to these? Thanks

All is good, i like the clean, minimalistic interface. But i still prefer power bar on top of the player. So my eyes will only focus on that specific player.

How can you produce or work on a game and still play it badly ? It makes no sense to me

He's being interviewed. He's being filmed. He's trying to show off animations rather than how good he is at PES.

He should really have had someone play for him, while he was being interviewed.

Yes good job! Send it!

the game looks really good, huge improvement over the last year :)

things i would like to see improvements:

-animations are great but i think they have room for improvement.
-i din´t like the throw in sideline it has a loading time and can lose momentum of attack, still have the reset gameplay feeling
-AI still wierd i dont know what dificulty the demo is but here and there we can spot wierd decisions.
-kits look very plastic

anyway this is a beta version of the game and the quality that we are viewing the leaking vídeos is very poor so i´m keeping my hope high.

i´m not saying the king is back becouse i never lost it but sure now is clearly more powerfull :)

They are trying to show us the team play..I didn't see anything in Masunda's video because he didn't play well..

I want to see video from fans...

Personally I like the player names being above the players - I always used to swap the cursor to player names in the PS2 days, it makes it much easier to know who you're controlling or identify unknown players who have just done something worth making a mental note of. The big problem is how ugly and big the font is.

The scoreboard Niko did for the second pic look great though. Minimalist chic. The most important thing would definitely be getting the font right, something flat, thin, outlineless and sleek. Even if they used coloured backdrops rather than badges or flags, as long as they went for something flat and sleek rather than the childlike attempts we've seen of late, it'd be a massive improvement.

Player's names above their heads kind of goes against the TV broadcast look that Konami are going for, hence I prefer the player names along the bottom in periphery vision.

There should be an option for both styles, though. The classic player name bars or names above the heads. That would be fairly easy to implement.

Giving the player choice is always a good thing.

+1

Names along the bottom do just the same, and add a triangle cursor.

It's subjective though as you said, and some people did actually prefer that really flat broadcast angle that came in for PES 2012 even though it meant you couldn't really see the passing angles at all well. Either done well is fine by me really.

Still weary of keepers.
About 8m 22s into this video Robben slings in a cross and for no reason the keeper dives to catch it when he could just stand there and catch it. It looks horrible and wouldn't happen.

It wouldn't happen? Considering how fast the ball was it was a natural reaction. Although many keepers wouldn't have jumped, I know a few that would.
