PES 2014 Discussion Thread

Hi guys, I have a problem which I hope one of you can help me resolve.

So, I just bought PES 2014 for my Xbox and when I first inserted the disk it asked me for my Online Pass which I did enter. But then my internet connection went off (thank you, BT) so I cancelled the download. And now if I enter the Online Pass to register it says that it already has been used. Is there a way to resolve this or did I just royally f- myself?

Go to marketplace and re-download it..

BTW PC also this gen is treated like $h1t by EA....

If true, even more reason for Konami to vastly improve the edit mode.

Yeah... Sorry about that, I was still at school then and acted really immaturely, not to mention that I was jealous because I couldn't afford a PC at the time (no job).
I've grown up a lot in the last couple of years and coming to the decision to go for a PC this "gen" was simple for me really for many reasons.

To be honest I expected EA to pull that shit again - it's annoying, but having briefly played FIFA 14 NG it seems very similar to the CG version, the difference definitely isn't as big as the one between the PS2 and PS3 gen versions. To be honest, I don't like the FIFA gameplay these days anyway.... I have more fun with PES 2013.

At the time of FIFA 08-10, PES looked dead in the water having put out some diabolical releases and they are the only years I'd actually say FIFA was a much better game... PES 2014 is broken and unfinished in a lot of ways and shouldn't have been released in it's current state, but I think it has the potential to be very good next year if Konami fix it up properly.
I don't think PC football games are in the same shitty situation as they were a few years ago :).

This is a must.

Annoying as Konami stated before release that this new mechanic would be made totally optional.

The game plays so much cleaner, less hyper. The clustered, pinball moments happen very rarely when player emotion is turned off.
The A.I. plays a better game, and it's overall a lot more fun.

Surely it's a simple patch?

Too woven into the fabric of ML to undue in this years PES, I feel. Hopefully it's ripped out and done away with next year. Player stats, fatigue and the gamer's skill should be enough variation for the game. The whole idea of heart/emotion is too ambiguous and hard to quantify anyway.

I'd understand that more if the form/motivation transferred from match to match, but it's still completely random.

But if you're right I'd still take them patching the option into league/cups/online friendlies etc at this point. They can do it in exh. mode so why not those.
Exhibition mode only atm is just tiresome :YAWN:

Don't know if you can trust those Brazilian sites pal. They are renowned for getting their facts wrong. Having said that EAs grip is only going to get tighter and Konami need to find a way to level the playing field

but the fact that it encourages the personnel to become more disgusted with Konami
I think this is not good especially now that they need our support more than
to maybe fix the game and bring a PES 2015 version at the highest level worthy of times WE9/PES5

I think the AI referee should be improved as many bids there is no marking the obstruction fouls and should solve the problem of drop frames on the PS3 that is annoying and seems to happen more with the use of option files.

Oh god, i really hope we don't go back to this crap. FIFA and UEFA cannot have eachoever on the same videogame so they will release a separate game every 2 years and a copa america game again separate to the FIFA game.

EA can go fuck themselves if true. All that matters to them is money, their new tactics this gen is sabotaging Konami with licences rather than fixing their own fucking game.

Money money money, i swear why do i bother, the western world is a fucking joke, been a joke for years and always will be a fucking joke! Fat, psychopath bankers robbing people every day through central banks and people wondering around like Zombies obsessed with these kardashian people whatever or any other pointless celebrity.

I'm out, i don't feel to good.

Nice update for PS3 owners who are enjoying the game.
 
I had some time on my hands the other night, so decided to give PES 14 another try. Unfortunately, after two games in my ML, a 4-4 and 5-4, I switched it off. I just don't enjoy the game at all. A friend of mine, whom I used to play football at Durham City with, contacted out of the blue and asked my opinion of PES 14. I told him, and he said he felt exactly the same.

It seems everyone I know, every PES player that I know personally, just doesn't like it at all. :(

Anyway, I popped PES 13 back in, and ended up playing 9 games in my ML and absolutely loved it. It felt like football, pure football.

My only problem now is, I popped home at lunch-time to check on my 4 month old German Shepherd, and somehow, she'd managed to get hold of my copy of PES 13, and chewed half of it up !! :CONFUSE:

So I'm going to have to pick another copy up from the bargain bin. Why couldn't she have eaten my PES 14 ?!!!
 
Same Jimmy. Played about 10 games of PES 13 yesterday again. It usually takes about 2-3 games to get back into the swing of things since the game just punishes you if you don't sort your team out and defend when you need to.

every single goal was unique that i scored and goals the CPU scored, goals can come from literally anywhere.

I don't feel too good right now. I feeling ill, unhappy, had another family death and i'm doing little to nothing at the moment, so i think i'll work on my patch from time to time and i don't think i will be here much.
 
PES 2014 is pure football for arcadish PES 2013. I enjoy to play it and thank you Konami to made ​​this game. PS. I prefer to play the version 1.0 and 1.01.
 
Yeah, the AI was awful, too direct. It favours the attacker so much at one point the defender just ball-watching, or the ball ghost through their leg with a simple tap of triangle button. Then you got to brace yourself against the through ball and speed merchants as well. Frankly 2013 in general was awfully imbalanced, possibly one of the worst offender in this regard. So blatant it wasn't funny.

However I liked the 49 stadiums, celebrations, replay and ML (content).
 
Hi, I don't want to bother you but I would like to say that the worst thing you can do if you try to play the new game mechanics is going back to PES2013. Because almost everything is different in PES2014.

I hated it at first, took me months to get used to it, but now I'm enjoying it a lot and think that this is the way that football games should be. I love how you have to control the mass of the players with the right stick. It adds a new layer of realism to the game. R2 to stop inertia is a must too.

I agree with you "geeg" although I think there are some things that PES 2013 has to offer eg some faces are more realistic than in PES 2014 will quote one to face Dzeko you realize that the 2013 is far more real and ML is also better off we had 49 football stadiums and would be better for the heart but factor 20 stadiums in 2014 it can not think emotion with I think do you agree mate?
