Hi, I don't want to bother you but I would like to say that the worst thing you can do if you try to play the new game mechanics is going back to PES2013. Because almost everything is different in PES2014.

I hated it at first, took me months to get used to it, but now I'm enjoying it a lot and think that this is the way that football games should be. I love how you have to control the mass of the players with the right stick. It adds a new layer of realism to the game. R2 to stop inertia is a must too.

I agree with you "geeg" although I think there are some things that PES 2013 has to offer eg some faces are more realistic than in PES 2014 will quote one to face Dzeko you realize that the 2013 is far more real and ML is also better off we had 49 football stadiums and would be better for the heart but factor 20 stadiums in 2014 it can not think emotion with I think do you agree mate?
 :WASTED:

What do you think mates Adam Bhatti said that these days on his twitter that PES 2015 will be balanced between the PES 2013 & PES 2014?
course that was all we had to catch the good from 2013 to 2014 included your better in its but keep gameplay and adjusting delay and removing bugs and significantly enhancing both game modes and mainly online mode it is more than 100% then we would have a gala version

dude i dont believe a word what comes out of his mouth now, till i see the game and play for myself, cause bhatti and co always seem to play a better code than everyone else, its been like that the past 3 years, trust is completely lost. Only person i do trust is Asim, he said it from the very start there were some serious issues with the game and we all thought he was overreacting including myself, obviously he wasnt so once he starts being positive about the game il start to take note.

I had some time on my hands the other night, so decided to give PES 14 another try. Unfortunately, after two games in my ML, a 4-4 and 5-4, I switched it off. I just don't enjoy the game at all. A friend of mine, whom I used to play football at Durham City with, contacted out of the blue and asked my opinion of PES 14. I told him, and he said he felt exactly the same.

It seems everyone I know, every PES player that I know personally, just doesn't like it at all. :(

Do you play on PC? If so, believe me, you can easily make PES 2014 a very enjoyable game with just a couple of global stats edits.

which stats ?????????
thanks

My other post in PC thread:

I think I am set. Think I managed to squeeze the best from PES 2014. A wonderful game when it plays right. :WORSHIP:

I am playing:

- 1.06 patch, 15 mins, Professional, 0 speed, 1 bar passing, Manual shooting (working really well in 1.06) and Advanced throughball;
- Stat adjusts (to all players, except goalkeepers):
  • Defensive prowess +10
  • Speed -10
  • Explosive power -10
  • Lofted pass -5
- Some personal tactics adjusts (klashman's tactics should do fine);
- Similar to TV broadcast camera, personalised using McSonix tool (Pitch Side: 6,4,25).

In fact only thing I really miss now is having more fouls. Defenses are much too unforgiving.

For all my dislike for PES2014 I'm still hopeful they can take the game onto next-gen, push on and improve on PES2014. But going halfway back to PES2013 sounds bizarre. Isn't this a game on an old, creaking engine they were trying to move away from?

Granted, I don't like PES2014 but I still want them to use this game as a base to drive the series forward. Going back to use any elements from 2013 seems like a backwards step to me. Did he actually say this was going to be half-PES2013 half-PES2014?

Far too early to describe what PES 2015 is or will be I imagine. Still, I hope it doesn't resemble any part of PES 2013 or any of the 5 prior PES games. Konami should be fully focused on the keepers, shooting, additional animations to make the game play appear more fluid and on greatly improving the edit and ML modes.

Pes 2013 was shockingly bad. Assisted shooting was a pass take as was the defensive Ai. I am so surprised by the sudden love for PES 2013.

Even Jimmys dog knows better

I disagree mate. PES2013 was a great game, however it was too dificult to defend for the majority of people, you had to defend in a different way to any previous football games and people just didn´t have patience to learn it.

The complain that the AI is "too direct" is, most of times, the player fault that tries to pressure the AI the whold field and is easily dribled by the CPU that ends up having a lot of free space to attack because of that. If the people try to simulate football against the AI the game is the best football ever made, in terms of gameplay and AI.

And when i say simulate football is simple to try to take the ball from the AI covering the pass and filling the space in stead of running and pressuring like a lunatic through the whole field.

I an very disapointed with 2014 because they did not follow the great 2013 version and tried to please the old fans with a PES 7.

IMO PES2013 was the very worst edition of the game...shockingly bad game...i gave up after a week and tried it again in the summer...i played one half and stopped...i had no pleasure whatsoever in that game.

What a way to hype your brand new, next-gen game, saying that's it's gonna be a mix between terrible2013 and disappointingflop2014.

Well, one thing for sure is that it won´t please you, so we won´t have to read your posts in PES2015 thread, right?

Adam has tweeted just think I saw your latest twitters from the 10th January so I can not say correctly but I think it has some good things in PES 2013 not counting a greater number of original faces unique and a good amount of stadiums but I twist to the gameplay to be based on PES 2014 of course with more adjustments and politeness and solving the major problems of the series, its online mode, game modes besides the ML in general and the lack of European licenses.
obvious that for now is just a dream one last question for the staff here at evo web: :TTTH: :PP
would be possible to get a license from Russian Premier League? It is the seventh league in UEFA ranking and has been a good market in buying players.

Less and less, yeah. I'm slowly fading away, just like the game itself.

So if the product does indeed match the description it won't be long before I'm completely gone, don't worry ;)

I get the sense that PES has been hemorrhaging fans for many years now. The likes of you and me stayed patient with this series longer than most.

Thinking about my circle of friends that used to be PES addicts, most of them gave up on the game years ago. I'm the only one that got this far.

It's sad to see such a grand name like PES suffer such a fall from grace, but that's a consequence of gross incompetence by Konami in not moving with the times. Evolve or die.

I really think PES 2015 has the chance to suprise on the new consoles. After playing it on PC i now can see the potenial of the new engine. It's there but right now it's hiding behind a lot of problems.

Im sure next year on the new consoles it will be much more responsive and that alone will change a lot. It does on PC. They need to work an goalies and shooting first and with a better responsiveness people will like it - im sure.

I told myself a hundred times im not going to buy the game next year. After 2008, 2009, 2010. This year im hugely disappointed about the way Konami treat the customers. But if PES 2015 looks promising im going to buy it anywhere. But i think saying "go and f*** yourself Konami" is a normal reaction and caused by all the frustration that comes with the game this year. But if PES2015 will be a superb game everything will be forgotten. Nobody will say it's a brilliant game but i won't buy it because of all the shit last year. We love football to much and if a good football game is out there, we are going to buy it. And this B****** knows unfortunately.

I just wish Konami give us some more gameplay patches the next weeks / month. Im not sure about PS3 and Xbox360 but on PC improvements are possible. With a little better goalies and better shooting the game would be really good.

One must wonder what will become of evo-web and all the fansites when Pes is no more

Evo-web has endured the last 8 dreadful years of PES. This forum is a stronghold and a sanctuary for all Pro Evo fans out there. If PES dies, this site has to remain online, so we can still honor the good old games, no matter how much pain we feel at this moment, this site has to endure!

You know, if KONAMI really wants Pes to be great again they can do it in one or two years, like EA did.The fact is, it seems they are good with Pes sales, so they don't think they need to give us a really good Pes, a mediocre one will be enough.

If you read their fiscal report for the last months of 2013 they talk about solid Pes 2014 sales

http://www.konami.co.jp/en/ir/ir-data/meeting/2013/1107_121655.pdf

 Solid sales of packaged software driven by Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.

I think you can get good things out of the two. I don't have PES 2014 but I'm pretty both PES 2014 and 2013 are not that bad in all aspects.

I particularly want them to bring back the WE9 defence system, with realistic amount of fouls per game. I miss seeing players completely loosig balance by being pressured from behing and then earning a free kick, I don't see that in football games anymore. Such a simple "feature", easy to put good physics and animations to simulate this, but devs simply don't want to make a game in wich you can actually get serious risks when you defend like a noob, holding down sprint and second pressure without stop.

Thanks for this very interesting indeed. They lost approximately 1m on 2013,which I'm is not bad all things considered. Also the Xbox sales are pitiful. Maybe going exclusive would be a good moves depending the amount of resources that go into cross platform development versus return on sales

If you take a closer look Fiscal year 2014 H1 ended on september 2013. So it measured the sales of PES 2013 from April to September 2013.

Strangely they haven't published the sales for Fy 2014 H2, which would be interesting timeframe.

Still it's obvious PES still is seeling very good, it easily sells more than say GTA V, and that every year.

You what?

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/435831/gta-v-sales-near-29-million-in-six-weeks/

http://www.examiner.com/article/gta-5-sales-near-all-time-record

"Having sold more than 3.6 million copies in the UK alone in 2013" - PES definitely didn't do that.

If you're on about PES sales between 2008 and 2013 (between GTA titles) then it may come close, but you said "sells more than GTA V, and that every year" implying otherwise.

Yeah I don't think Konami really care that much if the game is still selling well. It's an expensive game to make but not a blockbuster one and if they are getting decent sales and a tidy profit then that's going to please. That the kind of company they are. PES Productions might want to make a great game but I don't tend to think of Konami as too supportive a producer. It does tend to feel a bit like they've been rather coerced into making/using a new engine for the game just before the wheels fell off the cart completely.

My own interest in PES aside, I think Konami as a company are very unadventurous. They've done very little of note this entire generation and I think bringing them up in a discussion of where the series might be headed is certainly apt. I personally don't regard them as a producer worthy of admiration as the likes of Sony, or even Sega, have shown themselves to be (yes I pay attention to developers and producers of games I like). Their good reputation is something built the past and not something earned in any relatively recent present.

After all, they've gone from producing and even developing some excellent very creative or just very fun games such as MGS 1/2/3, Silent Hill 1 and 2, Shadow of Memories, Castlevania Symphony of The Night, ZOE 2 (which is decent enough) and of course all the classic PES games to basically just living off of their established series, driving some into the ground by incessant and pointless sequels (RIP Silent Hill and Castlevania).

I hope nobody is going to pretend MGS 4 was that good a game so what else have they made of any significant creative interest in the past few years? Elebits? Even as a perennial disappointment to some forum users on here PES is a fantastic series by Konami's own standards and one of their best earners.

I think the move to better the game with a new engine beginning with 2014 (or perhaps it'll be 2015 if we're going by some kind of final product) is their own FIFA 2007 moment. It's a needed move to maintain interest and sales for the series above all. I shouldn't think they ever intended to blow the budget and make some kind of spectacular football game over another capable one. Time will tell on that but given that the Fox Engine was made for the upcoming MGS games rather than PES it might tell you everything that you need to know about how Konami wants to treat the series. PES Productions seems to be in for a similar fight that it has for the past 7 years although it's actually been handed some kind of life-line now which is great for us.

PES as a series will reap the rewards of the latest technological shift (the fox-engine) but this does come with my own scepticism simply because of who the producers are. I have a feeling that if PES Productions do make another great game, it won't be a beautiful one. I hope PES Productions can do their best with PES 2015 but I don't think PES is ever going to be the kind of highly-polished series that we're used to seeing from so many Blockbuster games these days. Is that even surprising though? I think a lot of people here might realise this already.
