I don't have any problems with speed and responsiveness in PES 2014. My major concern are fouls and the one-dimensional attacking style of the cpu. I see none of these are fixed neither the defensive awareness.
 
I understand the patch will be released today.

Does this patch turn PES into WE Japan? Or is it just roster updates and tiny stuff?

And no (while I'm on the topic of things I find embarrassing about people who play football games), FIFA is NOT the 'hot but dim girl with the nice body'. PES has never been the 'less attractive but far more interesting girl you want to spend the rest of your life with'. Konami are not 'the love of your life who has just cheated on you'.

Go and live these things out in the real world, rather than substituting computer games for actual women/men, or drawing analogies that simply aren't true. I only hope you at least soap down the holes in your discs after each nightly 'session'. Good god, the chafing too.
 
lol, people who think FIFA 14 on next-gen is any good should check out NBA 2K14. Really.

FIFA 14 is shit. They have 6 stadiums fully modeled and give it some super awesome name to make it sound impressive. It will be the same old arcade game with finesse shot hot spots, poor and unrealistic animations and a bunch of licenses to make people happy.

Well, maybe they do if you're as incompetent as Konami.

This is a mind-blowing case of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Your community manager has no idea that you were going to test, for some very odd reason, if the update system was working. And then he has to sit there reading his Twitter and taking heat because those knobheads in Japan are pulling off crazy stunts and are unable to meet deadlines.

2 months this game has been out. How long did it take them to fix the Xbox 360 Data Pack fiasco? 2 months?

Its funny. It seems that Konami don't tell jack shit to adam bhatti; i pity him, he is basically the scrape goat in all this mess. I mean c'mon how many times have you seen information being released and showed before adam bhatti even announces the info? That's right, not even once. Not only that, most 'promises' he made about the dates have always been pushed back. Look at what happen today; only today does he confirm that the dlc message was a mistake. So much for appointing a new community manager; what's the point of that when there is still absolutely no communication from the developers compared to before the appointment and before the european development studio. Absolutely no point.
 
What I don't understand is why we still pay attention to what Adam says.

Let's just wait until the DLC comes.

At this pace, it may come for PS4 and PES2015 :P

Also at 8:55 is the same attacking pattern by cpu AI that plagues PES2014. The ball to the wing and then pass to the first post while the defender is nowhere to be found.
Idk what difficulty is this on but cpu AI build-up is hopeless. Their shots inside the area are still on the low corner resulting to the same gk save animation over and over.

This. I hate it and IMO it should be considered as a "bug".

Edit: And it is weird that very few people mentioned this problem.

For the record, my PES 10 disc got smashed solely because I didn't want to complete my PEEL fixtures. ;)

I was addicted to the PES 11 Demo, that was the method behind my madness. The only slight issue is that it's the only PES I don't have in my gaming cupboard. I keep them all. But at least I have the box still, so from the outside looking in, my collection 'looks' complete. :)
 
Gotta say, those who keep mentioning NBA2k14, yes the NG looks impressive, but gameplay is still terribly constricted by the animation system and the cheating is as evident as ever. PES need(ed) to aim higher.

About the dlc thing, incredible work! Apparently the world's most incompetent PRs all work at Konami. I literally do not know by now how and what they could screw up even more next.

So the data pack was announced today and now it's not being released. Fair enough, Adam said to be cautious about that, but FFS they now sound like they have no idea again when it'll be ready. How?? Either it's finished or it's not.

So just as my joke went yesterday, we're back to waiting for the patch and DP 'soon'.

Blimey. Konami have reached piss-taking levels now.
 
So tired of the excuses - I was a die hard PES fan and used to defend Konami fiercely, but this is just laughable...except I ain't laughing :RANT:

For now it seems we are really close, but I refrain from a date until I know 100%. To confirm, the DLC & Patch combined will be 1.3GB(!).

Why? Just go read impressions on FIFA 14 current-gen. I'm absolutely sure that people who like FIFA 14 on Xbox 360 or PS3 will absolutely love FIFA 14 on PS4 and Xbox One. Same game, more bells & whistles. Absolutely no AI differences that I noticed. Game speed is more or less the same. Same crap animation system from current-gen with more frames here and there. Only played demo version of current-gen FIFA 14, but the next-gen version I played was pretty much the same.

PS4 version, as a side-note.

Anyway, 1.3 GB sounds nice. Hurry up with the details for the gameplay changes.
